I don't even see thumbnailsof jpeg's in win explorer or on custumasing desktop dialog

It's not an activation issue, I have legal win7 normally activated, but the same thing happened to me after some win update (perhaps intel VGA driver), rollback didn't halp, all this witchcraft about registry neither :(

Have anyone any othe advice??

I Fixed mine using information from others.

Combining them making work in one.

1 Open Regedit

2 HKey_User>Desktop>Wallpaper

3. Find the default windows 7 background wallpaper. Found in User\Windows\Web\Windows\img0.­jpg

4 Change the value of the wallpaper. Use the mapping above. Type: C:\Windows\Web\Windows\img0.jp­g

5. Press ok. and restart your computer

hi, here the solution: click start and put regedit on search programs anf files and enter; go to the key: HKCU/Control Panel\Desktop and get the Value called 'Wallpaper'; this is in blank; replaced with C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\­Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Them­es\TranscodedWallpaper.jpg and restart your computer

when i say yourusername I mean your real user name that you use to login

kb971033 must never install why cause it windows will no that youre not running a real genuine windows

its so very easy to fix that men you just need to format it again and never install kb971033 and activate your windows using windows 7 loader download its in the google search it hope it helps

yo bro it looks like a vius tbh or it could be that the desktop backround rotation is changing it to the black wallpaper for example u can set how often the wallpaper changes to enougher one make sure the black in solid colours is not selected

Can you only change it to solid coulours ? If so the only way you can fix it is with a freh install as something may be courupt
