No matter what excuse you make up, the fact remains. There was audible no sonic shockwave, therfore it did NOT exceed the speed of sound at that temperature and barometric pressure.
@ozzirt if you would know about rockets you would know that rocket had a on-board flight computer to control the parachute ejection and he probley had a altimeter that measures alltitude and RATE Of SPEED or mabey he SIMMED IT

@hawk1buster if you never got a comment, the rockets contain Ammonium perchlorate composite propellant APCP, and the fuel on these rockets never exceeds ~40% of the rocket whereas a full scale rocket will contain over 95% solid fuel as its mass

I have downloaded the movie and stripped the MP3 sound file out of it and run it in CoolEdit Pro. There is NO boom at 12 seconds or anywhere else.
