this song I have bin looking for 14 years! Beacose I was dont know what group is singing and today I have bin heare it from iTunes were was the name of this group. great. SUPER SONG I LOVE IT.
Amazing, beautiful, and wonderful are but a few words to describe this song and the feelings it envokes. I played this song for a co-worker who is a true cowboy in his 60's. He only listens to old school country, but when he heard this song he said, "Man that's a great song!" It's hard to find anyone who doesn't like Collective Soul's music. They are true artists with talent and deserve to be recognized more than they have been.
war, violence, calamity, economic downturns..... we're all in this together, I think we should all work together and do our part to resolve these problems..coz after all, we're all one community, one citizen in this planet....We are all human beings.
I remember listening to this when I was 10 and crying uncontrollably. I couldn't explain it at the time, but this song meant (more than) the world to me.
This song has always been such a powerful encouragement while I fought back n fourth with drug addiction. Even though I've since changed my life 100% this song always takes me back to the dark time in my life and reminds me of how fortunate I am to have this second chance..
I love this song. It reminds me of my first and of my last love. I also passed this group one day in Manhattan N.Y. I made a pass at them and the flirt back. This song brings drive to a tired soul.
This song reminds me of my Grandpa. When I showed him this song he loved it. It would be playing whenever I would walk in for a visit. Then he passed away a few months later from cancer. Not only do I listen to this song thinking of him but I listen to this song to show my family and friends that there is more to music than that repetitive shit they call modern music (aka Hip-Hop, Rap and Pop). This song is made from the soul for the soul. My Grandpa would always say that...I miss you...
I used to listen to this when I was little and Hadn't listened to it in like 8 years and It played on the radio one day while I was cleaning and I was going through really bad depression so I sat down and just cried until I felt better
I dedicate this song to my dad. We would always listen to this song in his Chevy truck, pulling his boat. going to the lake. Recently lost him 4 months ago due to cancer. Miss you, dad.
@522viper I feel ya. I lost my father to brain cancer when i was only 7 years old. I lost his mother to lunch cancer 2 years ago, And now i may lose his brother to cancer, but the fight isn't over yet.
@522viper hey I know how you feel I lost my dad this last summer too and I did not even know the man. but to lose someone is really really sad and to plays songs like this one make the pain go away alittle.
@522viper I hear you. So sorry for your loss. My dad passed from cancer in 1984, so he never got to enjoy this song with me. God be with you in the coming year--it's tough, I know. Hang in there. Peace.
@522viper i just listened to this song with my dad in his truck. when the song was over he looked at me and said, i love you son. i looked at him and said the same thing.
@VinniStaglianno under-appreciated yes. Underrated not so much, they made it into the rock and roll hall of fame!! I would hardly say that's considered underrated. Ya dig?
i can understand how ne one who walked up on high and step to the edge to see our world below would cry......cos its not as pretty as we all like to think it is.....
@KillerQueen04 you say that 'pre 90's rock sucked sock', yet your username is KillerQueen04. but it is possible you thought KillerQueen was a cool name and decided to pick it.
@thebmxman34 I agree wholeheartedly, music is nothing to what it used to be. What do I have to say? "I like that old time rock'n roll." "New music ain't got that same soul!" lol
i was seven years looking for this song... i heard it for first time ina serie in the TV and i fell inlove with it... i heard it in the radio two days ago and i copied the lyrics... and here I am
@123ozzied1 Ummm, I think you left out Rock's golden age in the late sixties early seventies. Then the 90's brought it back. 80's was the downfall of music because of MTV glamorizing pop sensations. Early 90's said fuck that and here we are stuck in the 80's again today.
@HeavyD2544 You might be right about the 80's but what i ment about the 80's is bands like guns n roses poison def leppard kiss and Aerosmith Bon Jovi etc.
yeah i did leave out the late sixties and early seventies sorry about that
@123ozzied1 Its cool buddy, I get defensive of that era of music. I shouldn't have said the way I did. It was rude. When I think of the 80's its Priest and Maiden for me.
This song carries out the true colors of reality using both lyrics and melody.
"I step to the edge to see my world below, and I laugh at myself as my tears roll down 'coz it is the world that I know. What's the world that I've known?"
I just viewed the same truck commercial that TimTheMusicManic wrote about and just had to hear this song. Drop-dead bee-yoo-ti-ful on so many levels. I mean, damn!
I had something similar happen to me yesterday, my girl that loved me as i loved her said she was done with me in the coldest way, no closure 8 months we were together I would have fone anything for her and would have died for her. She said she was done over a text and didnt say anything else, i did nothing wrong to diserve this and losing her was the worst thing that could have happened to me. SO i went to the park yesterday after telling her i didnt want to live anymore and cut my wrist open
@WiteLando But then I realised she didnt care about if i was hurt or if I died, she was not the same girl I loved, she was someone else and treated me like I was someone else who didnt care about her. so I got up and stopped what I was doing realising the girl I loved is no longer here, I wouldnt die for who she is now
