  • dont agree with what manzarek and krieger are doing these day's what so ever never will do. whats in the past stays in the past, its not as if they need the money

  • OR JUST ANOTHER LOST ANGEL... in the city of night

  • yall already know

  • its the mojo risin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2:39 - 3:12 Love that part!!

  • The keyboard in this song totally make it. Everything about this song is amazing, but the keys are brilliance.

  • And I have no idea who Marc Benno is. But he doesn't play bass on this track. The Doors' bassist was the AWESOME Jerry Scheff. He was able to make studio dates during respites and during Los Angeles recordings and rehearsels with the TCB Band.

  • This song was written by Mojo? Well, in a way. A musician (and certainly a songwriter) can tell that the basic rhythm is Krieger. Amd the melody doesn't really stray from the rhythm. Mojo's rhythms, and especially his melodies were out-there. Krieger was straight-forward. Look at Light My Fire. the whole middle section is just 2 chords. I think alot of folk forget that there were three other men in this band. I think Mojo could play a garbage pan lid, but that's about it.

  • Jimbo was the God of rock!A Charismatic personality!

  • 1 person has a New York woman...

  • May I recommend the book 'A Pop Revolution, the transatlantic music scene 1965 to 1969' by the invisible man. The author is a big fan of this track.

  • 1 person has a San Diego woman...

  • INDIO BLUES BABY!!!!!

  • Kriegers lick at 5:22 is one of my all time faves. So atypical and creative.

  • drive to your suberb in to your blues

  • ...!

  • ottimo

  • This song is written by Jim Morrison, you can read that in The American Night.

  • Jim Morrison can't die.

  • I play this album everytime life suddenly gets good. I mean..real good. That dream job you've been hunting for 20 years, you get the girl, you complete a quest.,whatever. Last time I hit this song and was this happy was 12 years ago. Thats how much this album means to me.

  • Still got to be the best drive song and album ever for a long road trip.

  • thanks to my big sis The Doors were the 1st "proper" band i got into. even at 8yrs old i knew they were fuckin' awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • the underrated part of this song is tempo, the band was a machine. its a drive right thru LA.you feel the shelby pulling onto the freeway at dusk on a sat., when you could crank it up & not have to deal w/ bottled traffic. you can feel the curves, you see the setting sun in the hollywood hills, you can feel the underpasses & shadow like tunnels & finally you can feel the car as it slows down, pulls off the expressway, pushes passes the suburbs & into compton. then back out & in from the desert.

  • @kelvinkloud Dude, you are so right, and I am so impressed. Thanks for pointing out something else about this jam I can appreciate and enjoy. :-)

  • only the fearless grow beards

  • Jim Morrison was a true genius

  • @HardDaysNight44

    False. The whole band was!

  • @le9olasteris thats true

  • @HardDaysNight44 Not, Jim morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore were true geniuses.

  • @diegojau45 Yeah your right. They are all so talented

  • @diegojau45 FUCK YOU and anyone who says that Morrison had no talent.Which ones of your song catalogue do they still play on the radio? They were ALL talented.ps go fuck yourself

    Or maybe it's just me...No?

  • @dangyoudan A few years back I rented a Dodge Charger with all the bells and whistles and drove to my sisters place...with this song ON..don't know how I didn't lose my license. What do u say? Sorry Officer..Jim told me to??

  • @dangyoudan I think it's true man. I went from my house in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Cornwall, Ontario (~1,300 kilometres/807 miles) and probably a good 30% was just The Doors. I can't go anywhere without listening to them at least 3 times! XD ... :)
