Like Bach who was hated by most when he was alive, & is now 1 of the most appreciated & remeambered from his time 2 most people, with other composers from his time not well known 2 most, The Velvet Underground will B the most remeambered & appreciated blues acts from the 20th century years down the road, along with Frank Zappa.
