@omgwaffels96 look at the similarities, same stock, same sights, same barrel bands, same reciever, copied bolt and it even has the same safety that a mauser has. i would know, im a mauser owner!
Nice rifle! I have a Remington '03, a Springfield 03A3, a M1917 Eddystone,a Springfield M-1, and a Winchester M-1 carbine. (also NM M-1A, and a Bushmaster AR carbine) The M-1917 is my favorite because my grandfather gave it to me in 1970. I used to enjoy shooting and hand loading ammo every minute that I wasn't in school.
Handloaders...IMR 4895 is a very close match to the powder used in the military m2 ball. Load a 150 grain fmj over 45-50 grains of powder, and you have a close match to the M2 Ball cartridge. Use at your own risk, of course. Later Springfields and M1917 "Enfields" can handle just about any 30-06 load you can come up with.
Try and practice not taking the rifle off your shoulder every time you rack it. Stay on target, and follow up shots come faster. Nice standing shooting position for the dude in the gloves. Keep up the good training and beautiful rifle!
@myakkaa As per the your comment. The rifles in question are only "single" heat treated and therefore you should ONLY use Military rounds. Home loaders should beware if you own one of these weapons.
Great rifle, but one thing about em, be carefull if it is a Springfield Armory make with serial number below 800,000 or Rock Island Armory below a certain number, you will have to look that one up. The reason why I bring this up, is I notice what looks to be a straight down bolt handle with no sweep back, that would indicate possibly your rifle was made before, 1918, could possibly be heat treatment questions with those weapons of that date and before. Just be safe and research your weapon.

@DEOXYS987 Yeah We (US) were paying the Mauser people royalties to use their Mauser pattern in WW1 . Cause we Basically copied their gun .

Ahh..to have young eyes and be able to use barrel mounted rear sights!
Having bad lasik, I'm limited to receiver sights only. My SC 03A3 is a
great shooter, as are all Springfields..
