Is there any footage of Sawai fighting? I can only find 4 or 5 different videos of him, teaching or doing some light sparring. If I am not wrong, he did a lot of fights against martial artists from any style (usually winning)

Sawai Kenichi asked order to change name. And his teacher Van San Jai gave it.

tai ki ken(can be translated into-great boxing with ki) is the japaneese version of yi quan(mind boxing),sawai sensei's teacher was wang xiang zhai's discipel that sent him to japan in order to spread the art,the name is not important(some people call yi quan-da cheng quan-great achivement boxing).check on yi quan before drawing quick reactions without any research.

why Sawai Kenichi change the name of taichi i quan to Taikiken as if he found the style himself...

if i was his Si Fu then i would not accept him as my desciple.
