Snake's revenge was not only good (atleast to me) but you have to thank it for MG2 and MGS 1-4.

If SR never existed, MG would have never became what it is today.

No Snake's Revenge, no MG2. Not to mention many Snake's Revenge features were used in MG2. (Kojima liked the game too). Those ! symbols? They came from Snake's Revenge for example.
