@MrSynnnical He does get to draw a card. Just because he activated an ability from a creature, the ability is still put onto the stack, and will resolve even if the creature is destroyed, exiled, or otherwise. Like i said before, Abilities exist on the stack independent of their source.
What's with all the idiots in the comments? Abilities exist on the stack independent of their source. It works like this: Player one activates Azure Mage, putting the ability on the stack. Player 2 Doom Blades Azure Mage with the Draw a Card ability on the stack, Doom Blade goes above the draw ability on the stack. Doom Blade resolves, destroying Azure Mage, the the Draw Ability resolves, drawing the Azure Mage player a card. There is no "Fizzle".
@ alcapownage44 When he activated azure mage ability it's already in stack which means it's hapenning no matter what. doom blade is not preventing the ability from happening it simply just killing the creature. unless of course he stifle it.
If you activate azure Mage to draw a card and in response they play doom blade to kill azure Mage you still get to draw the card? I thought since the creature dies you don't get to but in game 2 when that happened he still drew his card
@alcapownage44 You are correct. If you activate the mage and THEN they doom blade it, you don't draw a card. Whichever card is played LAST resolves first.
@ximbabwe0228 Maybe he's wrong. To kill the Mage, you need to him first join the battlefield, which trigger his abillity. But, if it was a counter spell, he doesn't draw, because it didn't enter in the battlefield. Sorry for bad english, not my first language, but I hope you understood.
@Coldmancer - The ability isn't to draw a card on entry to the battlefield. It's an activated ability. So, it goes on the stack. The doom blade goes above it, since cast after and resolves first. Killing the mage, so the mage is no longer on the battlefield when the ability tries to resolve, so it 'fizzles out'.
Vill börja med att säga att jag följt dina klipp ett tag nu och jag upskattar den bildkvalite som dem håller...
men
Börjar kännas lite tråkigt då det är Solar flare vs X lite väl ofta. Sen att det endast är matcher där den vinner känns lite missvisande då den leken inte är överdrivet bra.
These people don't know how to play magic wtf.

15:30 Jace's +1 draws a card first, and then mills. Snapcaster Mage should've been drawn.

The Esper player obviously doesn't know how Solar Flare works.

@crazzled You are right, I forgot that it's an activated ability, sorry.

@alcapownage44 - You're correct. No card! It's a mistake.
The ability goes on the stack. Doom blade resolves first, so the mage is dead, and unable to finish the ability.

Just a small thing, but I'm glad you finally have proper zombie tokens.

Jag vill bara säga att dina videor är de jag längtar mest till varje vecka. Det är bara Shadow of Israphel av Yogscast som kommer före.
