Thanks, but alas it will stop being used later this year, when articulated duo-buses are introduced on this bus route and services are extended further into Burg.
I live now in Solingen and something to the buses Solingen has the longest overhead cable in Germany (or the hole world?)and the highest train bridge of Germany "Die Müngstener Brücke"
hi citytransportinfo , thanks for your explanation of why the turntable at burg is not going to be rebuilt . I hope that the duo buses will run on electric ( trolley ) power for the rest of the journey ?
There is a desire to run longer, articulated trolleybuses but the turntable is too small to accommodate them.
Because of the rocks on one side and steep slope on the other side it has been deemed to be 'too expensive' to rebuild the turntable for longer trolleybuses - so duo buses will be used with them reversing by travelling through the village streets in diesel power.

What is that at time 7:10 ??
I live in Budapest (capital city of Hungary), and Budapest has got 12 trolley lines, but I've never seen any 'rotatoin machine' like this. :-)

@bodrob80 this is a turntable at (i think) "Burg an der Wupper". They have no circle to turn the bus so they do it train-style :)

It is now closed - they have new buses which travel as diesels through the village.

wow, that's amazing! I never knew that Solingen is so popular for visitors =0
Some correctives to your description: - It's not called Wohwinkel but Vohwinkel - And the city is not Wüppertal but Wuppertal ;-)
It's called Wuppertal because the city is around a dale (=Tal) where the river "Wupper" is flowing...
Greetings from Solingen!

Thanks. :-)
No umlaat in Wuppertal?
btw, its the trolleybuses which bring people to Solingen, and not (for instance) to Oberhausen, or any of the other nearby towns.

Thanks.
I am pleased you found it to be of interest.
I think the longest trolleybus route is in Yalta.
Maybe Solingen's 683 is the longest in Germany.
