I guess not enough people 'wanted to know"...God almighty the 90's were ten shades of bizarre!. BUT it was on "THE BOX" so somebody actually requested this....... WOOOOOW lol
This is an extraordinary album. Every track. Jimmy Ray was with The Airplayers for a while a few years back. They had some cool songs posted on Myspace. Remember Myspace? Anyway, I wish he'd finally come up with a sophmore album!
Before this album was released I landed a promo copy that had no photo and no graphics at all, and the music blew me away; every single track was GREAT and I predicted huge things for the guy.
Then when I saw the video and saw the guy's obvious sex appeal I just knew that he was going to be a major star.
I still can barely believe that none of this materialized for Jimmy Ray.

I dont get why people hate this. I would rock this if I was in the 90s. Oh well. I first heard this on 90s hits radio, but thought this was the 80s. Maybe it was outdated but anyways this song is my 97th favorite song

what an asshole....scrawny white motherfucker with ugly niggers as back up dancers. horrible music. the music died in '92 when the equally horrible band nirvana came out. listening to those mutants was/is not bliss. thanks to all the brain dead teenagers that made sure this shitty music popular throughout the last 20 years. I'll stick to my dream theater and queensryche thank you very much...(on the plus side, this fag no longer performs) -end rant-
Infectious tune!! Is that a f%^&ing AMC Pacer in the background?!! Hope it ain't his and at least the hotties got the Dodge v8 pick-um-up with the race paint!!
OMG, this song was popular when I was in high school. Ran across it and am listening to it. This song is kinda corny! I don't remember it being that way back in the day damn it! Guess that's the shit about getting older! :P
If Jimmy did not do well after this single probably due to poor sponsorship/music production company selection etc. But seriously do un think Bieber, Katy Perry or crazy Gaga are any of them as talented as Madonna, Michael Jackson or Elvis? Now it is what big producers are backing u up....not whether u have talent but whom u know in the industry.
The background music in the millennium (2000S) is really loud so it hides the singer's bad voice.
This was the kind of vid and song you could just tell was a one hit wonder waiting to happen. I remember thinking at the time, save your money Timmy Jay, er I mean....what was his name again?
amen to that....this song is kinda cheesy, but i heart it. he at least can sing...and why aren't there any male artists today? it's all manufactured, auto-tuned tarts. but don't get me started....
@mpm2010lbc I agree with you on so many levels. After the early 2000s Top 40/"Pop" Music went straight to hell. How is rap and hip hop and all this other crap pop?!
I remember Carson Daly asked him when this song was losing steam "watcha got next?" and he said "Don't worry there's a lot more where that came from." Um apparently not.
@bnegs521 No that's just your racist mind and plus you don't know much about art to understand why certain preferences are cast for certain parts and some people are able to look pass color so you might wanna learn from those people because anything is ''odd'' when you're on the sidelines.
@PopCulture20 No I mean black because those cheerleaders could be Haitian, Dominican, Cuban, really you never really know so no I do mean black. Thatnks for your weak attempt at political correctness though.
@bnegs521 Excuse me but white is also Haitian, Dominican, & Cuban because those are nationalities and they come in many shades of color but I guess a prejudice person like you only prefer White Americans.
@PopCulture20 I am starting to think you may be retarded. YOU assumed all blacks are African Americans by your earlier statement. Who knows where these people are from. Jimmy Ray hailed from the UK you idiot.
@bnegs521 When did I say all blacks were African-Americans you moron? I was asking YOU if you were referring to African-Americans by saying ''blacks don't wouldn't include whites'' in their videos?
@3caldwell I love it! Actually I sing the chorus of this song from time to time since it was on MTV Top 20.People just relax and take it for what it is.It's the only way you can understand and feel this song.It is not pretentious and uses self-irony.
You know, I looked this up as I remembered it being from around the last year I could watch MTV and like the majority of what was on. I'm sitting by myself, painting, and grooving to this song. After about the fifth time they ask him which Johnny he is, I find myself saying out loud "This is the dumbest song"
Sometimes nostalgia can cloud our better judgment.
"'Coz I'm leaner, meaner, I'm the world's biggest wiener."
