  • I guess not enough people 'wanted to know"...God almighty the 90's were ten shades of bizarre!. BUT it was on "THE BOX" so somebody actually requested this....... WOOOOOW lol

  • @Rockvoxxx Nik?

  • This is one "cloistered" video. =p

  • used to be one of my favorite songs when i was in kindergarten lol

  • i remember watching this the first time and thinking, "wow, his belt buckle is bigger than his face!"

  • Roller world anyone?

  • the fact that jimmy ray was older than 12 when he did this song makes him better than jb.

  • Seriously, this is the strangest thing I've ever seen in my life. I love that there are people on here who like it.

  • this guy is so badass, he shoots pool outside.

  • the box ruled back in the day for us poor kids back in the day. Chanel 13, what its free ?

  • ohh man, i use to listen to song 14 yrs ago.memories

  • This is an extraordinary album. Every track. Jimmy Ray was with The Airplayers for a while a few years back. They had some cool songs posted on Myspace. Remember Myspace? Anyway, I wish he'd finally come up with a sophmore album!

  • This song brings back so many memories of a time when music was music. I mean the M in MTV stood for music and not Mush.

  • I'll tell you who wants if you're Jimmy Ray. Fuckin' Jimmy Ray wants to know. That's who.

  • me encanta la coreografia

  • This video went viral on Equatorial Guinea

  • This wasnt that popular. It came as an extra track to some CD, though I can't remember which

  • Wonderful song. I miss this song. You just don't hear music this good anymore.

  • i prefer this song than Rebecca Black's Friday anytime, ladies and gentleman...

  • I haven't thought of this since prolly 98 and had no clue why it was stuck in my head haha... good shit

  • :) Glad to know he's down with the chocolate.

  • I must've been about 11 when this song first dropped. I remember hearing it on the radio all the time. God those were awesome times.

  • Before this album was released I landed a promo copy that had no photo and no graphics at all, and the music blew me away; every single track was GREAT and I predicted huge things for the guy.

Then when I saw the video and saw the guy's obvious sex appeal I just knew that he was going to be a major star.

I still can barely believe that none of this materialized for Jimmy Ray.

And I still absolutely love the album.

  • Jimmy Ray se parece identico a un amigo que tuve llamado ELIAS

  • The two number 13's dancing are bad ass!

  • Yeah rock and roll!

    haha!!

  • hit like if this is better than justin bieber

  • I dont get why people hate this. I would rock this if I was in the 90s. Oh well. I first heard this on 90s hits radio, but thought this was the 80s. Maybe it was outdated but anyways this song is my 97th favorite song

  • when i was 17 i thought this was gay now i think its kinda cool he was cool mot a turd nugget like some of the pop tars out now

  • I have his single my boyfriend thought this song was stupid but back then we thought it was awesome still is lol

  • if he put this out 2day and not 1997 he would of been bigger but the late 90s were overshadowed by trash rap and throw away female pop

  • He was a cool thin guy!

  • omg i was eleven when this song was played on Z100

  • Superfuckin`awesome !

  • as if i was 10 when this song came out hahaha, miss the music back then

  • Holy crap, I haven't thought about this song for years!

  • Infectious tune!! Is that a f%^&ing AMC Pacer in the background?!! Hope it ain't his and at least the hotties got the Dodge v8 pick-um-up with the race paint!!

  • I don't remember this one bit. year?

(k I looked it up and I must have just overlooked this in high school. the style of the video heavily suggested late nineties/McG, and 1998 it was.)

  • he coulda used 12 extra pounds

  • OMG, this song was popular when I was in high school. Ran across it and am listening to it. This song is kinda corny! I don't remember it being that way back in the day damn it! Guess that's the shit about getting older! :P

  • @ChristinaB1982 ha ha :D

  • hahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahh

  • hahha he looks like mark anthony had sex with aaron carter. douch

  • Jimmy Ray,

if you're still alive, kill yourself.

    thanks

  • are you jimmy ray? me- AWW HELL NAH!

  • Possibly one of the most outrageous songs I've ever heard, but my god, what a guitar riff :D

  • If Jimmy did not do well after this single probably due to poor sponsorship/music production company selection etc. But seriously do un think Bieber, Katy Perry or crazy Gaga are any of them as talented as Madonna, Michael Jackson or Elvis? Now it is what big producers are backing u up....not whether u have talent but whom u know in the industry.

The background music in the millennium (2000S) is really loud so it hides the singer's bad voice.

  • almost anything including cheerleaders in the media, evokes the 90's lol

  • Always liked this song.

    It's upbeat and frivolous.

  • NO i'm not Jimmy Ray!

  • God I so miss this song. I never knew what the video looked like until a few years ago. He looks so damn fine. He kind of reminds me of Vanilla Ice.

  • This was the kind of vid and song you could just tell was a one hit wonder waiting to happen. I remember thinking at the time, save your money Timmy Jay, er I mean....what was his name again?

  • Check out the people ordering videos at the bottom.. I miss The Box..lol

  • OMG.. I thought I was the only one who even remembered this existed!

  • @ILuvGooPunch Me too O.o

  • give us more cool songs and hot chicks Jimmy!!!

  • at last!!! I've foud it!

  • God......I hated the 90s.....

  • @TheIrredeemable How can anyone hate the 90s? Better than the fucken 2000s!

  • @mpm2010lbc

    Thats not saying much though......

  • @mpm2010lbc Because it's just awful lmao. I mean seriously AWFUL. But probably better than the 2000s yeah.

  • @mpm2010lbc

amen to that....this song is kinda cheesy, but i heart it. he at least can sing...and why aren't there any male artists today? it's all manufactured, auto-tuned tarts. but don't get me started....

  • @mpm2010lbc as a kid who grew up in the 2000s i have to say that this past decase was BORING :C

  • @mpm2010lbc I agree with you on so many levels. After the early 2000s Top 40/"Pop" Music went straight to hell. How is rap and hip hop and all this other crap pop?!

  • ROCK ON!!

  • I remember Carson Daly asked him when this song was losing steam "watcha got next?" and he said "Don't worry there's a lot more where that came from." Um apparently not.

  • @bnegs521 LOL AGREE!!!!

  • All black dancers. Always thought that was odd.

  • @bnegs521 No that's just your racist mind and plus you don't know much about art to understand why certain preferences are cast for certain parts and some people are able to look pass color so you might wanna learn from those people because anything is ''odd'' when you're on the sidelines.

  • @PopCulture20 Would a black artist ever have all white cheerleaders in his video? Um exactly what I thought.

  • @bnegs521 Do you mean African-Americans? Because Akon's videos are always diverse.

  • @PopCulture20 No I mean black because those cheerleaders could be Haitian, Dominican, Cuban, really you never really know so no I do mean black. Thatnks for your weak attempt at political correctness though.

  • @bnegs521 Excuse me but white is also Haitian, Dominican, & Cuban because those are nationalities and they come in many shades of color but I guess a prejudice person like you only prefer White Americans.

  • @PopCulture20 I am starting to think you may be retarded. YOU assumed all blacks are African Americans by your earlier statement. Who knows where these people are from. Jimmy Ray hailed from the UK you idiot.

  • @bnegs521 When did I say all blacks were African-Americans you moron? I was asking YOU if you were referring to African-Americans by saying ''blacks don't wouldn't include whites'' in their videos?

  • this is my guilty pleasure song :p

  • wow, I haven't heard this song in what 14yrs!!! help me find a vein I loved this song aaah memories!

  • How the F*** did I find myself here!?

  • @jakey3887 You went looking for it just like me! :))

  • The end of the song should have been, "Are you Jimmy Ray?"

then Jimmy Ray answers, "Yes" followed by the needle bouncing off the record sound effect we all know.

How 90's would that have been?

    :)

  • Classic song right here.

  • are you jimmy ray!!! 90's

  • omg! used to love this song! i forgot about this shit!

  • Man, such hate for such an awesome song. Yeah it's cheesy but that's part of its charm

  • @3caldwell I love it! Actually I sing the chorus of this song from time to time since it was on MTV Top 20.People just relax and take it for what it is.It's the only way you can understand and feel this song.It is not pretentious and uses self-irony.

  • I had such a crush on him as a teen, lol.

  • I love this song. It's the perfect blend of ridiculous. Like it

  • this guy thinks he's Chris Isaak

  • My Lord hahahaha so many years without listening to this... I´m a dreamer... Good God... I´m a believer!!!! Love this song :)

  • Who in the hell is Jimmy Ray anyway?

  • Nobody wanted to know back then, and still, nobody wants to know these days around

  • I hated this song back then, and I still hate this song. Don't ask me why I thought about this song or why I looked it up on youtube.

  • @jrvy74, I just asked myself the same thing! HAHAHA!!

  • @cinemetal1 lol

  • I played the cassette tape of this I had soooooo many times! I love it!

  • I would so like to break dance like the dude in this video.

  • You know, I looked this up as I remembered it being from around the last year I could watch MTV and like the majority of what was on. I'm sitting by myself, painting, and grooving to this song. After about the fifth time they ask him which Johnny he is, I find myself saying out loud "This is the dumbest song"

Sometimes nostalgia can cloud our better judgment.

  • Damn I'm feeling dangerous!

  • I want the belt buckle in my forehead.

  • Anyone looking for a textbook definition of "one hit wonder"...here you go.

Man, it's been so long since I heard this. Jeez.

  • That was some Bas Ass Double Dutch!

  • Man I can't believe I haven't heard this song in 15 years. Time flies.

  • oh god, i was 11 when this song came out on MTV, and i used to love it!! haha!

  • seriously who wants to know.

  • "'Coz I'm leaner, meaner, I'm the world's biggest wiener."

I saw this on some video show when it first came out. He said he was influenced by Elvis and the Beatles. Yeah. He was exactly like them, except for the part where they didn't suck ass.

  • OK OK IM JIMMY RAY...NOW LEAVE ME ALONE BITCHES!
