My shared animations are titled 90 degrees when i try to replace the reference model of citizen with my own mesh. So basically if I can't fix this I have to replace all citizen animations with my own.
It's these things that ruin the experience of modding. An endless parade of awkward, un-intuitive processes and errors. After years of development I can't wait to finish my mod and never do this kind of thing again.

In XSI you can edit the weights of points on an envelope in several ways: by painting, by setting numerical values, by smoothing, by locking, by mirroring symmetrically or by limiting the number of deformers per point and enforcing that limit. I would recommend looking at the XSI documentation where all those techniques are described. You can also find more info or download the free XSI Basics Guide on the Softimage Wiki.
In this video I refer to the "Noesis Interactive" DVD's. I'd recommend, "3D Content Creation with SOFTIMAGE|XSI" and "Character Design & Integration with HL2 -

Forgive me for this dumb question, but how do you edit weights, I don't want my char to have horribly mutilated ribs when he moves his arms ;)
And how come my the feet don't follow the leg bone's movements?
