He's probably bored! Seriously. get him some plants and things he can swim around in and explore- more like a natural habitat.
The aquarium set up here is great! I can't believe it when people keep betas in tiny containers with nothing inside but water. I can't imagine how horrible it is to live like that.
the tank is old but i got it for about $30 and it's a 5 gallon tank. (reused) bag of green gravel $4. aquarium decor $8. plastic faux hanging plant $15. water conditioner $3. energy efficient aquarium lightbulb $3.
Id say that fish is a prep, preps wear billabong what was wrong with the name 725 proud or somethin

i have my betta fish (edward) :) in a 1 gallon tank with no filter and he loves it i have bubbles and he likes to play with them which is cute

in the wild a betta fish's natural habitats are puddles im just giving u info but i agree bettas need hore room then a tiny cup

unless you know what you're doing (when breeding bettas), then don't put them together... the male usually kills the female after spawning..
