  • Feeding mealworms to your salamander can cause a buildup of undigested mealworm shell in your salamander's stomach which can it die.

  • @TheJohnnyzombie salamanders wont die that easily settle down little boy

  • is that crested gecko any special morphs ive just got mine and hes the same but his sides are darker and his back is lighter ?? can you tell me what he is ? he has the smae petern

  • gorgeous gecko! but mealworms aren't good for cresties cuz their shells r too hard for their jaws and their stomach don't digest them fully :P

  • @ThesGeckosHaveCrowns i forgot to mention the mealies are too big for that crestie :p

  • Lol sick sallie

  • Nice flame crested you got there ^_^

  • cool salamander

  • hey man you should feed your sal nightcrawlers. Way better than those worms

  • Hey, rly cool vid and really beautiful animals, i also have a tiger salamander and a crested gecko (you can go on my channel). How old old are they both? thx!

  • Awesome! Ozzy would probably get filled up faster, cuz I'm sure he eats TONS of those lil meal worms, If you fed him Super Worms, they are just like gaint meal worms, so he won't eat as many. Plus they are just a lil bit higher in protein.

Oh and it's okay to let uneaten mealworms bury under, there are 2 things that can happen.

1- they die and decompose making more fertile soil.

2-they change into beeltes and crawl out and get eaten by your gecko. Meal-Worm-Beetles are just as healthy worms!

  • lol cool

  • worms arnt a good staple there actually high in fat if you dont like crickets feed roaches. There good feeders just not a good staple also recommending this if i were you i would squeeze the heads of the worms because they can chew threw the stomach, i would never take a pet of of crickets too feed worms

  • @WestCoastAmphibians That is a myth, there are no known cases of that happening. But i still agree with you not to feed mealworms

  • @Speedthedragon ok if there are no known cases tell me this why when i feed my whites tree frog that was 3 yrs old a meal worm i found it the next day barely alive with a meal worm coming out the side of it it is not a myth it does happen
