I find it remarkable that Taufik Hidayat, an olympic champion & former world #1, was at this feeble tournament. It must be the prize money... or maybe he just likes coming to america and handing whitey his ass lol
@jasperfannygun just like ctjcad said. Yonex also made an agreement with Badminton Canada to bring players like Taufik over to compete. I believe Taufik even played at Humber or was it George Brown College for some small tournament. Lee Yong Dae was also at the Canada Open 2011.
I met Carl Baxter and had a training session with him. He is actually amazing!!

it's not so much of the prize money. but because he has a contractual agreement w/Yonex, in which he has to attend certain Yonex sponsored tourneys.
