Whether she has driven drunk or violated traffic rules, no body has given right to the policeman to abuse her. He can take take appropriate action against her, not verbally abuse her in public. There will always be the employees union to support such action of the police saying that the ''morale'' of the police has been affected. Police should not show their morale and confidence by violating the human rights of people. If it was a foreign country he would have lost his job.
