I have a question....How come in any of Eddies rolling videos here on youtube i never see him use drop kick or stack attack. He always holds on to crackhead control and pumps or swim moves when they stack...How does he manage to deal with the stack like that?
You have to remember that videos on you tube are only a small slice in time. I have seen Eddie use these personally while rolling at his school. Like the baby arm, there is no video of him using it but he hits it when it is there.
Very useful technique. Especially in competition when you end up facing a guy who isn't too familiar with the rubber guard and decides to try to power his way out by stacking.
damn I had that position last night and I just let rubber guard go and went for something else. But it makes it more rememerable for me and I will be happy to give it a shot next time around.
but i have a question, how to make the initial condition I mean jujitsu is kinda different from judo, what I always see from your videos is that the initial condition is always "mounted" by the opponent, so can you please show us how to drag the oppponent to the ground and give him one of your best and beautiful submission manoeuver ? like it is in judo. Brawler always star with standing rather than ground fight
quite difficult because it is SO much easier to pull out when you release mission control (because the hand isn't on the mat and it is hard to keep your partner broken down).
that's sick. i didn't even see it coming before you did the roll. I was thinking; How the heck is he gonna do something when he has both legs posted and the guy's stacking? Great Lesson!!
This is just one way/variation. Obviously, nothing works all the time (including the drop kick) but it is nice to have options. stay tuned for more and check out out site for out latest videos.

I like how you guys show your moves from at least two angles-it really helps illustrate the technique.

Can you do this when someone is stacking you in regular guard?
mk9000 3 years ago
I don't see why not. this is very similar to a butterfly guard sweep.
Prodigysportsman 3 years ago
yes and it's quite basic actually. popularly known as "balloon sweep" (google, you'll find it demonstrated)

When I'm in my guard sometimes the guys will stack and step over compressing my neck, hopefully this will work..

would this work in mission control?
