i have had my chin for about 3 years and i have noticed that when i first got him he always ran away from me and didnt let me touch him but after about a 5 monthes time of lettig him sniff smell lick and eat raisins from my hand he will now come up to me when i say his name and he lets me pick him up now

so it all takes time

all depends on the chinchillas in general none of mine do but have had ones that have been miss treated and did bite if u get from a breeder then i think it is les lightly to bite

soo cute I just got my first chinchilla! Hes a light sapphire carrier. I am probably gettin a white ebony with a white body grey tail grey ears and snout as a friend and a second buddy for me too this weekend ;) I am addicted to chinchillas now :P

The baby on the saucer thingie is too cute! Its just sitting there..probably getting dizzy while his/her parents are takeing turns dust batheing lol! Its just too cute. I want a chinchilla soon and starting to already save up. Wish me luck!
