I also wanted to just add that I in no way think its OK for someone to get bullied to the point that they want to kill themselves. that is terribly sad for them and their families. But everyone gets bullied about something. A lot of it is stuff that we cannot change. So lets not narrow it down to gay suicide. Any bullying that leads to sucide for any reason should be discussed. Bullying someone for being gay is no different than bullying them for being black, or short or, dumb or something. It happens. It happened to me. I got bullied terribly bad when I was younger, but I never was going to kill myself. Maybe Im not especially sensitive but still. Should someone else be punished because you cant take a joke? Parents should be involved. Everyone gets bullied at some point. So either the kids are getting meaner or other kids are getting more sensitive. I think its #2.
