Its when websites or organizations want to reel in the public, for there own benefits, by using something that is of some importance and common goal. Basically its a type of threat
Demos just haven't ever really done anything for me. I don't even have a 3DS yet though. But about your coverage of E3, I don't get why everyone's whining about it. Covering it and going to it are very different actions. Last year I greatly appreciated your coverage of E3, and I'm glad you're covering it again. The way the internet is right now, yeah it should. If the Bills pass, which i highly doubt now..though Annom is messing things up in that department. You should be good. Most people give credit where credit is do. But you don't really see others doing it. I don't even always credit where images and music came from. I did in the beginning alot. With respect to the boycotting of the ESA, I don't believe the ESA would have withdrawn it's support for the bill if their revenue was not threatened.
Boycotting the event was not an extreme action. As a member of civil society everyone has the right to protest. Was there a threat of terrorist or violence uttered to the organization? No. You must remember that the ESA is a corporate entity, an entity that doesn't care about the potential loss of civil rights. At the end of the day, their revenue stream was their only cause of concern. The problem in North America is that we are apathetic when it comes to politics.

Demos show that Nintendo is finally catching up somewhat. Sony and Microsoft have been doing this for years and even though Nintendo has done this on the Wii, they did not do it on the same level of the other systems. Didn't have the cajones to call those guys, let alone know what to say! I'm so proud of the 4 million Americans who called our Reps. Like someone said (in a video whose name I can't remember), they probably don't understand the internet like we do and be educated about it.
It is a nice addition to have demos in the eShop so we can try 'em out. That means that any new game that is coming out later this year or so might have demos in the eShop. Hoping that Luigi's Mansion 2, Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater, and a couple of others will appear as demos as well before they appear as retail games though.
The 3DS demos are a nice feature. While I'm not completely excited about it, I'm glad that Nintendo is allowing consumers to get some hands-on experience before purchasing the product.

It really saddens me that you're still going to cover E3. I understand it is your job which is why I will not attack you or be extremely critical. I enjoy all the work you do, nearly every video you've posted over the last 4 months I've viewed in some degree but any work you post dealing with E3 I will not watch. It feels odd that I'd watch a video of a convention that is hosted by people who supported the thing I was so strongly against. So I apologize but until something changes that's that.

Your free to agree or disagree with me, thats your right I have mine. Ive spent months on this issue locally and personally talking to politicans, whom i see as slime anyway. Still i refuse to bully people or companies to win battles! There are other repected paths to defeating these Bills.

I understand your position but in my opinion you have to make some sacrifices in order to achieve the desired result.I didn't intend to offend you. However, I believe by covering E3 you are tacitly supporting an organization that has vocally given it's approval to SOPA, a bill that will directly affect not only, you or I but the common man as well.The greater good is more important.Corporations do not have a conscience.They are bred on money & money speaks volumes.

I wouldn't use that term the "greater good" and you didn't offend me. Ive already said im against the Bills. The thing has been defeated. I always stick up for a the little guy, I don't see how Utilitarianism has to do with, the SOPA protest. Like I said along with the Boycott of ESA, this stuff is becoming more and more extreme. The means justify the ends, people need to be calm and do the right thing. But like most protests, people go overboard.

I respect the fact that you are willing to enter into a dialogue with one of your subscribers. Not many popular YT channels actually correspond with the viewers. I think what we are witnessing at this juncture point is an awakening of the masses of how technology can affect change. With respect to the boycotting of the ESA, I don't believe the ESA would have withdrawn it's support for the bill if their revenue was not threatened.

Boycotting the event was not an extreme action. As a member of civil society everyone has the right to protest. Was there a threat of terrorist or violence uttered to the organization? No. You must remember that the ESA is a corporate entity, an entity that doesn't care about the potential loss of civil rights. At the end of the day, their revenue stream was their only cause of concern. The problem in North America is that we are apathetic when it comes to politics.

Heh, that Kid Icarus trailer was incredibly cheesy, but it looks like an enjoyable game nonetheless. Good to hear that SOPA is being attacked on all fronts - as well it should. Hopefully Congress can be made to see reason with the ever-increasing amount of protesters.

Demos show that Nintendo is finally catching up somewhat. Sony and Microsoft have been doing this for years and even though Nintendo has done this on the Wii, they did not do it on the same level of the other systems. It is good that with the sales of 3DS rising that Nintendo understand what demos could do to boost sales of games that many may not be familiar with.

That site has been very shady and has criminals sponsoring it in Hollywood anyway. So these sharing sites going down, isn't that big a deal. Kwing, I was very sad to hear about your decision to cover E3. It was my hope that you were going to stay true to your convictions. Actions speak louder than words my friend. Words fall on deaf ears. In case anyone is wondering why it is important to boycott E3, E3 is one of the biggest revenue generators for the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). Unfortunately ESA supports SOPA. By boycotting E3, you are sending a big message to ESA & buttressing the cause.

Even though it was announced today that SOPA/PIPA was officially scrapped, the very fact that ESA was supporting a very dangerous bill that would affected both you or I shows the callous nature of the organization. Thanks for providing this information. I believe a message was posted on one of Anonymous' Youtube accounts stating that they had targeted the FBI web site. I was wondering what was the reason for targeting the FBI site. I also read that the Justice Department web site was also taken down. I had no clue that it was because MegaUpload incident. I agree with you. I believe that the action may be interpreted negatively. After all the FBI's raison d'etre is to uphold the law.

It is a nice addition to have demos in the eShop so we can try 'em out. That means that any new game that is coming out later this year or so might have demos in the eShop. Hoping that Luigi's Mansion 2, Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater, and a couple of others will appear as demos as well before they appear as retail games though.

The 3DS demos are a nice feature. While I'm not completely excited about it, I'm glad that Nintendo is allowing consumers to get some hands-on experience before purchasing the product.

I personally like Demo's because if I wanted to buy a game but then I bought it and I didn't like it I would be ticked, but if theres a demo available I'll try it out, and if I like it I'll pick up the game if not i'll pass on the game and spend my money on something else.
