@CaptnMorshu Hello friends, I wanted to inform you that, this cartoon was originally created to advertise a brand of cooking equipment (Lagostina). About the language, it's very difficult to understand all the dialogue, first because the pronunciation is deliberately slurred/mumble, second, because it is regional dialect from"Lombardia" the bigger city it's Milano. I hope this helps, ciao bye Matt : )
Oh man, I loved this as a kid. No idea that this was italian. I just assumed that the character was speaking a made up gibberish. It was all about this character's crazy laughter for me. Now I can see the music and color shifting prolly helped burn this into my childhood memories.
I watched this cartoon in Bosnia as a kid and never understood the words but still was soooooooooooooooo funny. Now I know La Linea was swearing so much as per previous comments, I would like to say........it was one of the best comic of my time.
I can not remember how many times i randomly saw one of these small cartoons when I was a kid, but I loved every one of them. They was so fun to watch, mostly because I dont understand a word hes saying :) its pure nostalgic.
@PinguFanz thank you. I see you also have them in your channel. They are great and I'd like to get hold of some for our platform and so the content owner can get some money for its viewings. Would you be interested?
The production is italian and the character speaks in grammelot, a theatrical language that use nonsense sounds mixed with words and frases taken from some dialects (in this case a dialect from Milan, in northern Italy).
if this was in amarica it would go like "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEB" cuz he's swearing so much
@jonasldg actually its gibberish.. hes not speaking any specific language, but the show is french or french-Canadian.. used to watch it as a id and laugh my arse off... now I laugh even more
@Koxi73 Yeah lol, I did more research and found out about it after.. wow, I never thought so, I could swear it was gibberish and made here cause of the "FIN" at the end, and mostly because I live in Quebec and watched this so many times when I was a kid, could never imagine that it was foreign.. oh well :)
Ahhh yes I agree with AddeChan. Childhood memories!!!! For me it was back in Poland when I was 7. Few years later I was forced to move with my family to United States, and now I am so glad I found it back on youtube. Isn't this a great place. It is a gold mine of information. By the way is this Italian or Spanish language, anyone? Cheers
@ObeeLektro It's mock italian, he istn't really saying anything clearly comprehensible. But I guess that's why it seems to have worked and become a success in just about any country.
@papasatana Well, actually, (I'm not trying to fight or anything), but it even says it on the Pingu WEBSITE. I mean... because that can't make them wrong.
