  • Does he actually say something in Spanish, or is it just gibberish?

  • @CaptnMorshu It's a blabbered Italian.

  • @CaptnMorshu Hello friends, I wanted to inform you that, this cartoon was originally created to advertise a brand of cooking equipment (Lagostina). About the language, it's very difficult to understand all the dialogue, first because the pronunciation is deliberately slurred/mumble, second, because it is regional dialect from"Lombardia" the bigger city it's Milano. I hope this helps, ciao bye Matt : )

  • @RetardStrangerOfGerb italian, and not even that :P

  • @RetardStrangerOfGerb

The production is italian and the character speaks in grammelot, a theatrical language that use nonsense sounds mixed with words and frases taken from some dialects (in this case a dialect from Milan, in northern Italy).

  • I wonder if I can get the series on DVD somewhere?

  • @marcelventer Yes it's on DVD (and isoHunt).

  • My brother and I used to watch this on TVOntario Channel when we were kids. We thought this was in French,..but this is actually in Italian.

  • is he speaking italian or just nonsense?

  • @andre4GBRAM He's speaking Milanese (a form of Italian), but he's speaking it to make it sound like gibberish.

  • @andre4GBRAM

There are also some english words. And... it is his RERAL voice, without any effects ! La Linea's voice is Carlo Bonomi.

  • Ahhh yes I agree with AddeChan. Childhood memories!!!! For me it was back in Poland when I was 7. Few years later I was forced to move with my family to United States, and now I am so glad I found it back on youtube. Isn't this a great place. It is a gold mine of information. By the way is this Italian or Spanish language, anyone? Cheers

  • @ObeeLektro It's mock italian, he istn't really saying anything clearly comprehensible. But I guess that's why it seems to have worked and become a success in just about any country.

  • @mateuszmattias Thank you for the answer and Cheers.

  • That's because it's the same man who did the Pingu episodes (Carlo Bonomi).

  • @verypointless8

    wrong Osvaldo Cavandoli did it

  • @papasatana Well, actually, (I'm not trying to fight or anything), but it even says it on the Pingu WEBSITE. I mean... because that can't make them wrong.

  • @verypointless8 yhea....me too, but try to type Osvaldo Cavandoli on you tube or on wikipedia.

I'm from italy (sorry for my english!) and I knew this cartoon since I was a baby.

  • @verypointless8 you mean Osvaldo Cavandoli

  • @Joeasia1981 No he meant Carlo Bonomi. Osvaldo Cavandoli made La Linea, but Carlo Bonomi voiced Pingu and La Linea.

  • @verypointless8 Correct!

  • hahahagahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhahahhahahahaha 1:34

  • simple and effective, just perfect! unforgettable I <3 it

PS: type on the search box Gigi D'agostino the riddle or Gigi D'agostino Blablabla, it's amazing. I think is the modern version of this cartoon.
