I'm not the only one here that say Deeres are good machines. I'm in the operating engineers union. 710's are not ass its just the biggest and best backhoe availible for the past 20 years since Case stopped making the 780! (Cat 446/450 is a bit smaller and pourly balanced in comparison. Case makes a good machine but alot of guys also really like the Deere backhoes. Its personal preference in the end.
Your nuts. John Deere make an excellent backhoe loader! Where is the Case equivillent to the Deere 710? O ya the 780 but they stopped making it 20 years ago cause knowone wanted them.

710 deere is the only rubber tire machine I know of that will lift a 6800lb 8X20 street plate with the stick.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Kimchiman1000 backhoes; they rock!
Kinda noisy and hard to control though...and they always seem to have (ahem) 'gas' problems.
But other than that they're good machines.
