not to sound like a know-it-all, but people who comment on Hans face dont understand much about cartooning or animation..often enough you have to exaggerate certain aspects of a face in order for people to immediately identify the character, while still making the face in a way that CAN be animated..I mean..Leia doesnt LOOK like Carrie Fisher..but with the Cinnabun hair..and Fishers voice..you accept that this drawing is supposed to be her.

Thats the art of characiture friend-you immediately recognized him as Solo right? Making a cartoon isnt the same as making an oil painting-the animation process has to simplify a persons features in order 2 B able 2 animate them, while maintaining recognition. Ford has narrow eyes & a somewhat elongated chin-you exaggerate & make them narrower/longer. Hamill has relatively larger eyes, they R big here. Trust me-its impossible to animate reality-Its why Bugs doesnt REALLY look like a rabbit.

Now that I think about it if the Star Log was going to be put into a Stardate (3241), it would be September 28, 3AM, 1949. That would be a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure not in the definition of what Lucas had in mind. The Star Log may just be a chronological number for other Star Logs in the rebellion.

This was possibly the best part in this whole sucky holiday special. Too bad they didn't make THIS cartoon into a series as opposed to "Droids" and "Ewoks" but I guess that "star log" thing was also kind of a rip off from Star TREK and they could only do it once anyways. Plus since they made a whole bunch of comics, novels, and video games in the "expanded universe," fans may very well be already satisfied with the amount of adventures Han, Luke, Leia, and all your Star Wars pals have had.

This is officially 1st appearence ever of the infamous Boba Fett. Empire was not his first appearance, this was. To answer question it was a deliberate effort on the part of merchandisers of Star Wars to make sure Chewbacca was not too scary for kids in 70's. If he was too scary they could not sell his goods so in every facet of merchandising from holloween masks to this cartoon they had to make sure Chewie was not as scary as he was in Star Wars. That is why he looks like a cute 'yorkie' here.
