Well Bryan is a cyborg created by Dr. Abel who he was abandoned by so Abel could work for the Mishima Zaibatsu. So in Tekken 4 its all about him tracking them both down. As you see in the ending hes saved by Yoshimitsu and Dr. Boskonovitch but he ends up destroying his lab and some of Yoshimitsu's clan members (manji) resulting in Yoshi/Bryan's feud in T5/6.
