Hooded Eyelids 101 Makeup School

my problem is that for some reason a couple months ago my eyelid's crease changed and became larger, while my other eye remained the same. now my eye looks horribly droopy and its so hard to wear makeup! esp. eyeliner because it just brings more attention to the unevenness.. help please!

I have very deep set eyes with hooded eyelids and have no idea how to do my eye makeup because of it! I can't put too much shadow on the crease to get rid of the hooded eyelids as then my eyes just look super sunken into my face. I hate my eyes! Do you have any tips on ways to define the crease without making the eyes look like they're super deep-set?

Agh my brow bone ends where my brow ends. I have NO room . And if I try and shape my brow I will loss half My brow coz it's too thin to shape. I hate my eyes!

Help me pleeeease!

I'm having so much trouble figuring out my eye shape. My eyes seem to look almost asian whenever I try to wear makeup.

They are usually quite open and regular, BUT the inner corners sort of "dive" down and create a natural inner cat-eye.

This makes the eyes look really long and narrow sometimes. How do I fix that with makeup?

I appreciate this video, but I learn by seeing. As a suggestion make a part 2 to this video with actual models (black & white). Someone like me has never applied eyeshadow and av no clue how to apply eyeshadow, maybe use 2 models as I am a black lady and I don't know even know wot color pallete and brushes to use etc.

I do not even think I can apply eyeliner because my eyelids are severely hooded. I feel like eyeliner just closes my eyes and you cannot even see the eyeshadow

I've stopped using eyeliner because my lids are so creppy that the line is very bumpy.

@gwillysgram If you use eyeshadow with an angle brush the eyeshadow wil come out smooth just tap the angle brush in a deep shade of eyeshadow then gently lift your bottom lid using your left index finger( if you are right handed if not use your right index finger) placed right above the top of your eyeball, then apply the eyeshadow behind the lash line. You may get some eyeshadow fall out the first few times you do this so just remember to check for that! Let me know if this helps! <3

This is by far the most informative and helpful video I've ever seen about hooded eyelids. I personally don't have a problem finding my crease cause it's very obvious where my crease is, but if I was to do someone else's makeup (which I do sometimes) these tips are so helpful! Thank you Camille!

Hello Camille, enjoy your videos especially your 101 series however perhaps you should try showing demonstrations of your lessons euther on yourself or a model and then insert a voice over...talking about it is great but seeing is believing! lol Have a good one.

It was important to me to explain these characteristics first, for the reason that human subjects encompass so many eye traits that the explanations may been watered down. So I explain and teach the different characteristics then when I either use my own eye or a model's eye there is more of an understanding when I am speaking about certain techniques and eyelids, eye shapes, & eye placements. & I agree seeing is believing! <3
