this boss is super easy once you have learned his rotation, first phase, shield block slash once until phase 2, phase 2 all you have to do is get the lightning and throw it at him and then pound him til he goes down then deliver a final blow and your done, so easy :D

Remember, the spin attack is still the most overpowered attack in Zelda history, and you can use it in this fight (especially in phase 1): Right after blocking an attack you can spin attack him and he takes several hits. After you've done several spin attacks on him, he actually falls down and you can hit him freely for a short time (enough time for 2-4 spins). I was able to beat the first phase in about a minute with that tactic. I love how I get a nice combo of quick blocks and spins on him ^^

For an ultimate evil, Demise was pretty honorable. He fought blade to blade, without any real bells or whistles. I imagine that he easily could have vaporized Link with dark magic, but that would have been bad form.

Doesn't anyone know? When demise sends the blast you have to deflect it with ur sword that is another way to beat him. Trust me iv tried.

@legendofzeldamaster2 You can jump to the side to dodge it. It's easy to do... I was just too excited, since it was my 1st time fighting him (I didn't play normal mode). Now I can beat him without taking one hit. It reminded me kind of like a Punch-Out fight... :)

when i played this in hero mode, i made sure that i always had a guardian potion +, heart potion ++, and a fairy xD. except for like... girahim... idk... I did it so getting the hylian shield would be a cake walk xD LOLOLOL

Demise is the coolest boss I have ever seen and defeated in any video game. The one who started it all! God this game made me cry so much :D and th twists to it make this game enjoyable to play more than once.! I dont know if im the only one with this problem but when I move my sword it sometimes jitters on screen like its trying but then jolts. Might be my remote or the sensor bar from all the dust. or its defective. I dont know. Kinda annoying but it still read my movements for the most part

just wondering, but is guardian+ potion available in Hero mode? In combination with the potion medal it pretty much guarantees victory on Demise. I got hit over 20 times (i don't care lol, i'm invincible) in normal mode and I just was wondering.

and you start off with nothing.

Hero Mode: Enemies deal more heart damage,

you cant get hearts from monster's or bushes so you have to rely on potions and the occasionally sitting thing, t

small dialog changes,

be able to fight the Demise in Boss Rush

and you start off with the Bugs and Treasurers that you had in normal mode on your last save.

It takes me under 3 minutes to beat Demise, because whenever I fight him, I always take in 3 guardian potion +'s, so I can swing madly at him, and don't have to worry about dodging or parrying (:

@SoulSilver79 No problem, I just skipped the Boss Mode, since I only played Hero Mode. I went back and got it though. Working on 100% completion at it, just at a slow pace. I powered through the game very fast. I usually always have something going on with my 3 kids, and prioritize them above all. But I had 10 days no kids, so I just went on a gaming binge and beat Zelda, and Arkham City (Awesome game!) lol.

He doesn't deal triple damage, he just deals double damage in his second phase.

In other words...

Phase 1 deals 2 hearts per hit you take on Hero Mode, whereas in Phase 2 you take 4 hearts (originally 2) per melee and 2 per ranged. Then making contact with his sword deals 2.

@2406Blackbird yeah i know XD. i RLLY shouldve used that to start with. i tried him one half assed (i wen tin with liek 8 hearts, 2 fairies, and a bottle of water XD). didnt go so well. so i just went for the noob solution, got 2 bottles of the health++ pots, and one guardian+. fastfowarding, its his 2nd phase, i've drunk one full health++ pot and at low hp, drink the guardian pot. didnt even take anymroe damage and fight was over. i just swung till i kept hitting XD.

Agreed, I haven't tried hard mode yet but went through the first time with 7 hearts only (darn heart containers) and he gave me a good kicking. I thought he would use thunder, then fire and maybe desert (as in the lake changes) so it all reflects the temples. It was disappointingly short, I thought it would last 20-30 mins of epic warfare :(

Four hearts of damage. That's amazing! The last boss in a Zelda game that dealt that much damage with an attack was Ganon in A Link to the Past. I guess it's worth completing the game in Hero Mode after all. I feared it would be as boring as Wind Waker's Hero Mode, but I guess not.

@supershadow562 It makes you save right before the last boss after beating Hero Mode. I would also suggest copying a save right at the last guy in Normal mode, so you don't overwrite that save file. I hope to do 100% in Normal and Hero Mode. I'm kind of a hardcore completionist, lol.

@jodaniel69 I heard the same thing, but the thing is.... I only played Hero Mode. My friends Special Edition came a week early. So he beat Normal Mode, Then he let me borrow it and I continued in Hero Mode. I have to play normal mode to see. But from what I've heard, is that the conversations will be slightly different. and that people will throw hints at you for something you forgot to do in Normal Mode. Also, no one gave me tutorials for shops or items in Hero Mode.

@jodaniel69 i can answer that. yes there are some changes. mostly hinting at the fact you're in Hero mode but what i've come across so far is mostly, if i remember correctly, Ghirahim says something about how it'd be much easier for him to kill you i think. I don't really remember i'll have to play through it again (if i ever beat it).

@Croxyndul Only reason I didn't is because I became super good in the game at shield parrying. And to get the Hylian shield in Hero Mode it was all twelve bosses plus the Last, instead of just the first 8, from what I understood, so I skipped it. I didn't feel like torturing myself, lol.

@bravesirrobin99 You just start with your bug collection and materials/feathers. Also, All enemies do double damage, and you will find no heart drops unless you are carrying a heart medal. So make sure to hit all the stools early in hero mode. Lastly, in boss rush mode you can do all 12 bosses and the last one... It's brutal!!!

@Echaniz41832 To be honest... I'm not sure... I only played through on hero mode. My friend beat it on Normal, then I played through on Hero. IGN has a heart piece guide. I looked at some of the walk throughs for bosses, and on Hero Mode their patterns are completely different. What sucks, is that nothing happens when you beat Hero Mode. It just says "congratulations! You beat Hero mode!" Then wants to save right before the boss. No extra ending. But it is 100% hard, so that's nice.

@Echaniz41832 I'm gonna private message you on it. I know what your problem is! There are 2 Life Medals. The one you buy at Beedle's Air Shop, and one you get from a goddess cube in Lanryu Desert. Apparently when you play Hero Mode, there can be a glitch where you don't need both equipped. I can't post the link to the walkthrough to find the other one as a comment, so I will PM it to you. Hopes that helps the confusion. :)
