  • yay! Another great video btw

  • can you make a new video for this one? please :) can't understand it, not like your new videos.

  • Can I suggest that people DO NOT use A4 paper... (use something smaller)

Its easy to use for the modules but when you get half way through putting them together, it starts to sag and slouch. I am using sticky tape to help keep it in one piece and I am almost at the point of raging and throwing the damn thing in the fire.

I will make sure I finish it, but I am NEVER going to make it again...

  • Hi Sarah - thanks for this video. Since both sides of the paper show in the finished model what are good papers to use if you want a gift ornament?

  • @Kehammell I'd suggest you simply pick paper that you like. In this video I used colored copy paper, and that works well. You could use Tant, of course, which is of a better quality. I think card stock will be a bit too heavy to give really nice results.

  • Hi Sarah - thanks for this video. Since both sides of the paper show in the finished model what are good papers to use if you want a gift ornament?

  • Is A4 paper fine to use?

  • @MrShoggs Yes, although it will make a truly huge star. :)

  • Cool! But did anyone notice she sounds like a un computerized version of Val from solitery 4.0?

  • @boffyful origami-shop(dot)com has some free eBooks. Click "Download Diagrams" in the left navigation.

  • hey will 8 and a half by 11 printer paper work? coz im confuesd coz on the vid the paper is wayyyyyyy larger than that...

  • @sktbrdr87 No, you need to use A4 or something with the same ratio. Check the video description for details.

  • do you like cheese???

  • @dodeball12 Um, random question - but yes, I like (some kinds of) cheese.

  • i love origami ive been folding for over 2yrs-3yrs

  • We dont have 'A' side paper in India. But we have A4 size, and the papers get bigger as the number increases- A6<A5<A4...... So which paper must I use while you make your models with A size paper

  • @aurbindnair You can use any of those sizes. The ratio is the same for all of them. The larger the paper you use, the larger the resulting model will be. In the video I used A8 sheets. I got these by cutting A4 in half several times.

  • @AdamsSara Thankyou very much! I just like origami a lot. How do you get to know of these shapes? How do you know the people who made them?

  • @aurbindnair I learn most models from books. I get to know people online (mailing lists, forum) and at origami conventions. It's a great crowd!

  • yes i agree, your accent just so good. thanks for demonstrating. i've already made 12 sides of that star

  • you explain it so well. and I cant figure out your accent,

  • I'm German.

  • do u like beer?

  • Not that it's relevant - but no.

  • If I use a patterned paper (1 side) should it be face up ??

    Thanks for awesome videos!!!

  • Start with the non-patterned side up.

  • Where are the black guide lines coming from?

  • u talk weird but i like it cuz itz different not the same as every one elses

  • im gonna go try this!!

  • for the dimensions, can't I just split a square in half?

  • No, you cannot, please check the video description for a link to a page that describes how to get A-sized paper.

  • i haven't even made 24 of those papers and i already gave up

  • very nice sara, but your heads on the way! lol just kidding, nice vid

  • A question: all those of this have I to do?

  • god you're annoying...

  • i confused....................?

  • VERY DETAILED

  • In the book, Brilliant Origami, Dave Brill said that other stellated forms of polyhedra are possible, too. Have you done any other stellated forms yet besides the stellated cuboctahedron form?

  • No, I haven't. To be quite honest, usually only do modular origami for others. It's not really the area of origami I enjoy most.

  • Wonderful, thank you :)

A-Sized modular origami is rather uncommon, so this is a great model to add to my collection. Thanks so much! :)

  • You are very good. I prefer your videos, they are very clear and easy to understand for beginnsers.

  • lol this is easy to understand u must be mad, i cant even do the modules...

  • sounds like a robot. loosen up

  • I have made the modules but I can't see how to fit them together because the camera is too far away.

  • i dun get how 2 put teh pieces together... every time i try it won't fit! :[ its soooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying!

  • try and er... like... wedge it in abit more and make the bits where you connect them together abit bigger and open it up more.

  • OMG I UNDERSTAND! seriously!

  • Sorry that my head's sometimes in the way. After recording it 5 times, I just didn't want to try yet again. I hope it doesn't distract people too much.
