YES vote = no way back, we can't undo mistakes made in the treaty or the EU, our say in EU is halved. Some countries say is doubled.
NO vote = we are still in the EU, like we are now, and the EU must be more accountable to the people of Europe. It stops the runaway power of the EU parliament and its gravy train expenses.

Please vote NO to the Lisbon Constitution. It is not good enough to have a European Constitution that reads like a phone book and that only the Irish citizens get to vote on. Democracy is in the hands of the Irish people. Voting no to Lisbon will not change the economic situation for the better or the worse. The Lisbon Treaty is a brilliantly concieved document that is a "self amending" treaty (Article 48) that paves the way for the most perfect of totalitarian states.
Vote against it AGAIN Ireland PLEASE because if ratified by all 27 states it will become illegal to even criticise the EU,let alone vote against it under the European Court of Justice ruling ( case 274/99 )

If people say there is no democracy or accountability in the EU, what exacly does the EUROPEAN PARLIMENT stand for with its various partys ? You elect MEPs to represent you in the european parliment. The new lisbon treaty gives the parliment more power, and more say from the citezens. The only problem is the Commision which isnt elected by the citezens. You also have to admit it was a low turnout in the lisbon treaty and many people voted against the government on domestic issues.

We should never let administrators bully us, and that is what they tried to do. They tried and failed. I was out on the main throughfares campaigning against a treaty about a constitution that was incredibly intricate. And there in the confusion the Lisbon treaty was to be fudged through. Our 'No' campaign was organised early and we mobilised. Even against a side with superior funding. Organisation is key. Now, what are the people of Britain going to do to have their say??

No legislation obligates MEMBER STATES to have an referendum on the treaty (except Ireland).
In Lisbon treaty comission's power is weakened and EU parliaments power increased. It is a step towards more democratic EU. Deal with it!

Do they really have to unite all of our countries to make our economy better? Canada Mexico and USA are uniting into one country soon enough. The EU is making us one country. Africa has the same thing. And soon Asia is also having this problem. A union. The Asian union. I will not stay here, I will NOT, live in some country called Europe.

I think Germany, France, Italy and Spain should do their own union since the big majority of the people there are pro-EU. I'm totally pro EU and I like the Idea of integrating our economic and politics but of course I cannot compell people from other countries to do the same. No,they will have to go back to the drawing board - there is much resentment in the Netherlands, France, UK and Denmark that they are being denied a referendum (because they know the people will say no).
It's all down to the Irish people - the fate of 1/2 bilion people in the EU is being decided by a small country - that's a lot of pressure.
