It's the nose that counts,more so with the pointers setter then a retriever because they had to freeze to alert attention when they detect the presence of game.You can't have any hunting dog that lacked the sense of smell.That's just fucked up....

@Converter4Everything no he cant, the labradors have a very soft bite and rounded tip fangs, so the retrievers can return their prey to the hunter without damage

my girl pit loves grouse hunting... has great eyes and nose but dont like the shooting... have a hellula time gettin the dead birds from her.....haha
