  • Senator Collins, you should consult with California Representative Dana Rohrabacher concerning the truth about the climate change and greenhouse gas agendas. Increased solar activity is the cause of warming, not carbon dioxide. Taxing carbon dioxide is just a power grab by those who wish to advance global governance, destroy US sovereignty, and do away with the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Don't you dare let that happen.

  • Senator Collins is currently trying to stall healthcare reform. She is corrupt and in the pockets of whatever corporations she can snuggle into.

SENATOR COLLINS IS A SELL OUT TO THE HEALTCARE INDUSTRY!!!

  • Thank god she canceled the program on stopping pandemics. Way to go. We don't need that right now.

  • I have lived in maine for 10years and i love the work Susan Collins has done for Maine. She is defenetly better than Tom Allen. She won with 60% of the Vote while Tom only had 39% Sucks for him. Hes a looser anyways

  • If we pulled out of Iraq right now, utter hell would break loose and we would lose everything that we've fought for over the last five years. Seriously, have these people really thought about this? Sure it was a bad idea to go in there to begin with and I wish that everyone wasn't wooed by faulty intelligence, but everything we've worked for would collapse. It took our country years to deal with the same problems, we need to give them a chance.

  • i am truly puzzled by your comment. "we would lose everything we've fought for over the last five years...." Exactly what was it we fought for????? And what have we won???? What do we hope to win???? If you are going to insist that it is worthwhile to continue spending $5K every second (yes, that's how much we're spending now) and ask more people to die...you should be able to answer those basic questions.

  • we can't leave because all hell would break loose. but now that the surge has supposedly worked and the iraqis have asked us to leave, we can't leave because? why? run that by me again? we have to stay forever because why? could it OIL????? control of OIL?????? and the Iraqis might NOT give the major contracts to our oil companies???????????????

  • We've already trained our kids through neglect. Today's kids are brazen, bold, disrespectful, conscienceless, heartless, undisciplined and unrestrained: The perfect soldiers of tomorrow. And the average American parent made that possible. Isn't it funny how politicians try to appeal to our basest vanity, using an institution which no longer exists...Namely, innocent children? Besides, politicians don't give a fuck about anything but getting elected at any cost.

  • The utter stupidity of this advertisment is beyond belief.

Apparently the Dumbocrooks think that it would be better to fight the Islamofascists in the streets of America, so that the fight won't be limited to the involvement of only us Americans who have volounteered and are trained and equipped for battle, but so that EVERYBODY, including children, can have direct participation BEFORE chooosing to join the military.

  • You should be able, without the assistance of FoxNews, to tell us exactly who the Islamofacists are, why they are going to show up in our streets, and what they want from us. In an adult, rational fashion, speaking from one adult to another without sloganeering, but rather real geopolitical reasoning. Rational geopolitical thinking, and define an actual strategy. Calling Democrats, Dumbocrooks, makes it clear, you probably can't do this...or locate Iraq on a map.

  • Susan Collins is a corrupt woman! MAINE PLEASE BOOT THAT BITCH!

  • We're trying dude. Apperantly it isn't working yet =I

  • Ads, like this, are beyond disgusting. The far left Google refused to run ads for Susan Collins, but Google certainly doesn't mind sleeping with the Chicoms.

  • I read about this far-left smear tactic in US News and World Report a couple of weeks ago. They're trying to single out bubble incumbents because their is no one listening to their anti-war message anymore. The publication signaled this strategy as a sign of pure desperation. Sad, really.

  • Actually, I think the video is kind of cool. If the kids were smiling, it would be like we were playing War. But with a son turning 18 next year, it isn't a game anymore.

  • Call GOP contributor and war contractor General Electric Corporation at 203 373 2211 and ask for the public relations department. Tell the person in public relations that you want the GE CEO to get Bush to end the war in Iraq and then Bush resign with Cheney and until that happens you will not buy any GE products and that you will tell your friends about this.

  • Generation Jackass..........just more cannon foder for Collins and Her ilk. Kill all You want they will make more.

  • It won't be an issue for your kids to go to Iraq as your government will have privertised warfare more comprehensively and it will be colored people from the 3rd world fighting your wars so you can all go back to getting your heads tight and firm back in your asses

  • Please read what the brave soldiers of the 82nd Airborne have to say about the Iraq war in an op-ed:

    nytimes(dot)com/2007/08/19/opinion/19jayamaha.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all

  • What the Fuck! All American Soldier are volunteers. It is different that Fucking Democrats draft harmless children into the army by compulsion.

  • 77005585,

It's largely a 'poverty draft' now. With an actual draft, Mitt Romney's boys would have had to serve, and perhaps warmaking would be more difficult.

  • actually, the current government has said that the draft has always been an option "on the table".

Not to mention lots of democrats and lots of republicans actually want to end this war and not continue wasting lives and money.

  • The only problem I have on this video is this: Our kids won't be able to afford the uniforms depicted. We'll be broke by then. LOL

  • The decision to go to war should only be made by those who will have to fight it.

Those disgusting old perverts in congress and the white house are real brave with other people's children.

  • Frank Zappa

The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way, and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theatre. (1977)

  • That is a very good movie, Zeitgeist. I highly recommend watching it.

  • bout time! :) an emotionally driven pushbutton ad. (Note to MoveOn: take a look at how it's done. They didn't use that annoying "angry left" Voiceover Guy you use for every ad. This ad here does it correctly.. it respects the audience it is targeting -- and skips that annoying MoveOn tone which turns off the exact audience they go after. This is exactly the kind of non-devisive ad needed -- one that brings Americans together without party appeal - to go after the Reps who DON'T LISTEN.

  • Damn, I'm glad I'm not Sen Collins

  • Excellent!!

  • Ouch. I see no riposte for this ad that doesn't make Collins out to be the cold-hearted bloodthirsty neocon bitch her voting record shows us she is.

  • Awesome ad! Unfortunately, the "family values" hypocrites only care about kids BEFORE they are born.

  • Actually Republicans like Collins don't care about kids BEFORE they are born either. There is a reason the health insurance industry gives so much money to folks like Collins and a select few Democrats (namely, Hillary Clinton). Here is a quick story: My brother's wife recently got pregnant. Her health insurance company is saying they will not pay for any costs related to the child or his birth. Why? Because years ago when she got this insurance she didn't tell them she would get pregnant!

  • So my brother spent months trying to get insurance. He was flat out told no insurance company in the state would take them on as long as his wife is pregnant- no matter how much money he is willing to pay. And they don't qualify for programs designed to help the very poor. So he has had to take on a second job to pay for the birth of his child. He will not get to see his kid much, but at least the hospital is gonna get paid and his credit won't be destroyed.

  • The "family values" people like Collins essentially allowed the HEALTH INSURANCE INDUSTRY to write the laws and the legislation they have enacted ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO GET ABORTIONS! Life would be much easier for my brother if his wife did not have this baby. And now Hillary has received more money from the health insurance industry than ANY of the presidential candidates. John Edwards is the only one talking about health care reform in a meaningful way- WITH SPECIFICS.

  • Sorry to hear about your brother's plight. It's a terrible thing it is allowable for them to be turned away from insurance companies simply because they don't want to take on a client that they will have to pay out on so soon.

It is disgusting how they can be allowed to make their money the way that they do.

Now him and his wife will suffer, along with their child, so that others may amass excessive wealth.

  • It is a sad situration. His wife ALREADY had health insurance- had had it for years. But her company decided they didn't have to pay for any costs related to her pregnancy because she should have told him she planned on getting pregnant. Well guess what- sometimes things happen, ie, an unplanned pregnancy. So THEN they tried to get insurance elsewhere and were denied wherever they went. Our current system is insane.

  • It shouldn't even matter whether her pregnancy was planned months, or even years in advance. I'm pretty sure that your brother and his wife would have been more than happy to increase their payments towards their insurance company so that the coverage would be applicable towards the birth of their child.

But these companies want to see the money first, before they even want to consider the facts surrounding why any particular individual may or may not need their coverage.

  • You are right, that this is well indeed, quite insane that it is supported by our own government that businesses should be allowed to make their money in such ways.

However, more than our leaders feel obligated to support the demands of those whom they have sought to govern, they will always support the agendas of those whom make the largest contributions to their campaigns primarily.

  • asdffd,

Actually, Dennis Kucinich's single-payer, universal healtcare plan is even better.
