@jordanpasek It's somewhat subjective. If you think you can handle turn-based combat, text-heavy npc reactions, and don't mind pixel-hunting every now and then (as in, looking around the screen for sometimes very small items), I think that sort of person will greatly enjoy it.

The story is excellent, with the story moving mostly at your own pace (there's a few times when you do wind up racing against the clock).

I know most people prefer Fallout 3, but even though I think F3 is great, my fav will probably always be the first game as i have the most nostalgia for it. It was so engaging, so fun, and so epic. I think it is quite sad not many people have play the original game.

I don't get why people get up in knots about children in Fallout 2. It's not like the game encourages you to kill children, in fact: it SEVERELY PUNISHES you if you do! I'm always careful not to hit those little buggers if they get in the way, otherwise the whole game world hates me.

I am not saying i condone that shit, but games nowadays are to chickenshit to let you do EVERYTHING. In new vegas for example it´s impossible to VATS target children. it takes out some of the deeply dark humour that lies in the Fallout universe that you don´t get in other games.

I gotta admit, even though I've played fallout 3 and new vegas first, I think I like fallout more. It seemed to have a larger feel of a nuclear wastland, than the others.

that doesn't mean I don't like fallout 3 and nv, but Fallout just seemed to have a better atmosphere and better gameplay.

I have to admit though that I haven't played fallout 2, so I haven't really made my mind up about which game is my favourite.

i just started enoying fallout 1 and 2, at first i just felt hindered by the combat and only be able to kill rats with 1 bullet, on 1 turn at a time, the smg and tons of other automatic weapons are a must, and so is the action boy perk, fallout 2 is more like a nice cold glass of lemonade on a hot day, my smile growing slightly larger the more i play :]... :}... :)... :D

Anyone with the "Roasted" idea doesnt know much about how nuclear fallout works, or how "SCIENCE!" in the fallout world work XD.
