I'm a music fan. it is embarassing to watch two 50 year old men dad dancing to awful renditions of at best mediocre songs. they released a couple of decent singles in their time but this is an exercise in bloated self congratulation. human league were a lot more interesting.
@markbr71 If thats your opinion of one of the finest bands of their generation then u are entitled to it. Also, if u find it embarassing, why are you watching it then
@Jarv1s i was watching it because i thought enola gay was a decent single. bit of youtube surfing in a bit of downtime. i didn't seek it out. you really should relax a bit more! i thought it was awful, does nothing to improve it and mccluskey looks like a twat as he always did. If you like it then that's great. Leaving a comment is all about opinions eh!
@markbr71 One of Andy McCluskeys best qualities is his inability to dance. An OMD concert wouldnt be the same without Andy throwing himself about the stage looking like and epileptic windmill. I dont think this version improves on the original, but it is different and unexpected. Nothing wrong with a bit of experimentation.
I love OMD, have everything they ever did but this is disappointing, I've so far watched the Air excerpt and that was really good, although personally I would have preferred if they'd just done their own experimental electronic soundtrack to accompany the images, in the spirt of some of the obscure stuff they used to do '80-'83. No offence to the orchestra but there's too much brass in the whole affair too.
i like OMD but this doesn't work- maybe they could have switched the lights off too as well as being more orchestral- now that would have been intriguing.
I was just along from where you filmed this. Excellent night and fair play to Humphreys, McCluskey and Cooper for the photos outside. Great, quality post.
he still got it! :)

Ha. Hark that old baldy guy in the front row, jumping up and down and waving his arms. Bet he didn't look like that when this record was a hit. LOL.
