  • Is this song inspired by a band called Pulled Apart By Horses? I haven't listen this yet, but I have always wanted to know that

  • @11EmilyH11 vise versa my friend. The band got its name from this song.

  • This is the devil's work. I like the devil.

  • Τhom = God :")

  • ,views are 118,118

  • Amazing!!!!

  • OMG this video just confirmed my extreme sexual attraction to Thom Yorke. HE IS SO SEXY & TALENTED.

  • @carouselambra7

    Amen sister!!!!

  • sooo crazy!!

  • I like the simultaneous double head bob at the beginning.

  • this sounds like a bad acid trip

    i aint diggin it

    fleas always the shit tho

  • this is like.optimus prime and a power rangers megazord combining.

  • is that guitar in standard tuning?

  • @banksyknight thom's got a capo

  • this is problly the only time you'll see flea with a shirt on..

  • @zekecaa901

lol, he had to dress nice for his fancy british band.

  • I do!

  • what i would have given to see this show......

  • is that really flea?

  • @hectorleon87 yes it is.

  • I've watched almost this whole concert, and my brain still refuses to accept something as awesome as Thom Yorke and Flea playing together.

  • You could always tell Flea was a little too good for Kiedis.

Frusciante is solid, and Flea of course is like a live wire of musical soul.

It's nice to see Flea liberated to go into more exotic terrain without that douchebag Kiedis penning shit lyrics for the upteenth time about California.

  • @slitheringinterstate totally agree, that's why Frusciante left too, he made good stuff in solo, his skills are really amazing and he composed most of rhcp good songs.

Great to see this weird group having so much fun !

  • radiohead on par with epic bands like pink floyd and zeppelin.

unsure whether this is a statement or a question

  • @MrNerveux statement. statement and fact my good sir.

  • @MrNerveux I think Pink Floyd is shit (i'm crazy, i know), but Led Zeppelin is fucking awesome. I would say The Beatles instead of the pinkies. =)

  • @0526rolo I hope you're being sarcastic.

  • @0526rolo You just said Muse is better Than Radiohead...no reasons or something just what you think

  • @0526rolo Without Radiohead, there'd be no Muse... I've seen Muse live they are pretty good live. Muse is a loud epic arena band, which I'm just guessing you like that more. I like that too... But Radiohead... Their apart of Music history forever now.

  • @JohnTheFaun couldn't agree more

  • @0526rolo in my opinion your opinion sucks

  • @0526rolo What is your education background to give you an educated opinion?

  • ooola. that's amazin. had to be, with those two.

  • 0:01 unison bonus!

  • It looks like Flea wasn't ready to stop playing at the end there :P.

  • this song is a trip. I enjoyed the ride.

  • just got tix for Chicago show on Saturday...so pumped

  • @barefootbob75 went to both new york shows and it was mind blowing!!

  • great.

  • magua4: it sounds better live. when you listen to it live the bass makes sense :)

  • im a massive thom yorke and radiohead fan, but i just cant see the rhcp bass sound and thom's sound mixing well.. sorry.. flea and yorke are awesome but this doesnt sound good.

  • dont buy a tic.

  • @magua4: i was skeptical myself til i saw the show last night. Wow. Just wow. Thom obviously wanted to beef up all the incredibly funky elements of Eraser for the Atoms live show. And it works. Fleas bass in context with the huge drums and percussion was a really great underpinning for Thom and Nigel Goodrich;s ethereal vocal and effects dabblings. Fresh. And Flea was also a great spritely stage companion for Thom. Loved watching them. This song was heart-stopping at Roseland.

  • It's cool that Flea is playing with Thom Yorke but there's a reason they ditched this track and turned it into Reckoner

  • they didn't turn this song into Reckoner, they named a completely different song Reckoner.

  • @Chunkadook Half true. The "in Rainbows" Reckoner was developed from a bridge Thom was trying to write for it, and it turned into its own song. Thank god they didnt trash this though.....mindblowing

  • @dnbktune886 pssh yea flylo is so much better

  • THIS IS AMAAZING!!!

  • flea needs to tour his home country SO I CAN SEE THEM LIVE CAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME!

  • The Bass line is Sex

  • best song of this set 5/5

  • personally, I don't think Coldplay sucks. they definitely don't sound a thing like Radiohead, but they do have some good tracks.

  • @grantchestermeadows1 GTFO ------->

  • Flea is my hero. I really fucking hope I can see these guys live

  • @antlerman idiot

  • you eat balls man. this is completely different than any sort of 90s alt rock. it's like some groovy ass groovin groove music. i'd love to see this and roll my balls off

  • i watch this every day! narcotic :-)

  • really fun to see Flea playing with Thom- extraordinary bass player- this song jams

  • lol fender n00b

its a hollowbody gibson, not too sure what model

  • is that a les paul guitar ??? the one that thom yorke has

  • good question..

  • Comment removed

  • that's not a fucking les paul!! it's a bulk shit well not the birth given name but it's a crap guitar FENDER all the way

  • Not a Les Paul, although it is cool when Jonny plays one at the Fonda Music Box. This is a vintage Gibson ES - 330TD. Probably around 1967. The Epiphone Casinos (as referenced below) made in the 60s (when they were made well and used by the Beatles) were actually copies of this guitar. What's really interesting about this model is its completely hollow, unlike something like a 335. So it feedbacks like a motherfucker. Hope this helps.

Also: this song is amazing, and I love Radiohead.

  • Brilliant!

  • speechle...

  • Incredible.

  • thom yorke ???? at coachella everyone! 2010!

  • @jonjonwhii looks like I'll have to make my way out to California for the first time!

  • flea and thom on the same stage? thats like spider man and hulk starring in the same film!!

  • @seapockets ha! it's maybe that i'm very sick right now but that`s so true that made me laugh

  • @seapockets or like chuck norris and Jesus christ playing live together xD

  • @seapockets if that's the case then flea is deffinately the hulk

  • @seapockets ya but not shitty

  • to be remembered in the history of the rock and roll..!!!!!

  • i feel it

  • Hahahah flea just wasnt getting the cue at the end there. so funny.

  • It used to be "Reckoner"...........way way back many moons ago. From AtEaseWeb: Lyrics for the 'Old Reckoner' Feeling pulled apart by horses Fobbed off with lame {"shite" or "shoddy"} excuses. Feeling pulled apart by horses Reckoner Papapa Reckoner Papapapa Reckoner
  • kinda hard to believe this ended up as "Reckoner". This song definitely more aggressive but still love the "new Reckoner" too.

  • this isn't reckoner??? im confused?

  • No, this didn't end up being Reckoner, as heard on IR. They just shared the same name for a while.

  • Does anybody else feel the epicness of this?

  • sure do....not only does this song show so much emotion..you have flea in the background....very epic

  • me.

  • fully

  • @bones22j YES

  • @bones22j i most definitely am feeling some epicness

  • @bones22j I think at least 36 other people do ;)

  • I preferer "Reckoner" early version. Same song but better :]

  • did flea mess up at the end? 5:06 he played too long?

  • Sure did but you saw where he was. Totally far gone in the riff.

  • This song is much better live.

  • aye i was thinking the same

  • goldeneye

  • Thom!

  • genius !

  • dood this is fucking dirty.

    fuck LA.

  • I hope Thom can find time to record this new songs before the next radiohead album come out in late 2010/ early 2011... I need somthing to hold me over!!

  • he already recorded feelingpulledapart by horses, and thehollowearth....check it our on their site

  • awesome!

  • thats a gibson

  • is that a gretsch in thom yorke's hands?

  • I think more of a Gibson ES model, but "I might be wrong"

  • flea looks like jez from peep show here

  • slip of the thumb, he looks very much like jez!! haha!! this tune is mint i was just tuning in to see what thom yorke was up to these days and hear the dirtiest riff ive heard in some time. what a geat tight band too. reminds me off beefheart guitar playing. this is outragreous!! i'm with the band. look, i'm jez i've got loads of girlfriends and hash, look at my jeans. curse these metal hands.

  • does anyone else here have a whammy pedal that you have to keep ur foot down on the pedal if using the -8ve harmoniser setting or else it go out of tune???

  • yeah, that happens over time. you just need to recalibrate it. I don't remember the sequence, but if you read the manual or google it you should be able to find it pretty easily.

  • thanks, but i knew about recalibrating it though, mine was always just physically this way, which is a bit anoying cuz you use the -8ve setting for the biggest riffs, and its not great when your doing big riffs and you have to stand still with your foot on the pedal

  • hm, well I don't understand the problem if you can just recalibrate it. the reset sequence should fix it right away, it worked for me.

  • Don't compare colin with flea...that's nonsense! has a bassist myself (simply a hobby...) i can see that flea is much better playing a bass, of course it is! but that's different from being a better musician...flea is great for this, and i like this .But there are good things like this, bad things like keen, and there's radiohead. Colin is a part of radiohead, and that said, it isn't comparable with flea. Thom can have 1000 projects, but in the end i think he knows that radiohead comes first...

  • This is a great sound but I hope thom doesn't lose interest in Radiohead. This is good but it ain't radiohead good

  • Radiohead's already announced they're not releasing any more full length albums

  • Actually, Ed O'Brien said they were misquoted and are going to work on one this winter.

  • I heard Late 2010 or early 2011

  • :'( i could cry.

  • they actually are. ed obrien said theyre going into the studio this winter

  • where did you hear that?

  • i read it in some music publication, ill tell you once i remember

  • agree, the bass is fuller and more alive. sorry colin.

  • Comment removed

  • imagine RadioHead without Colin's Basswork... it wouldn't be RadioHead.

  • i dont think fleas a douche bag, u just sound like a douche bag that tried to meet him

  • hey . whatever helps you sleep better. either way its fucking irrelevant and i stand behind my previous comment. fya

  • haha ur a tool dude this is hilairious

  • I'm a tool and you still listen to Coldplay.

    I'd say we're even.

  • yea becuz coldplay have kno idea what their doin winning grammys and what not...

  • Coldplay does a really good job ripping off OK computer-era Radiohead and U2's entire catalogue. If that's criteria for a great band, Coldplay's the greatest band in the world.

  • @jodcook Sorry I don't think you've got your head on right, I've listened to Coldplays catalogue... it doesn't sound anything like Ok Computer. I don't know where people get the idea that Coldplay sounds like Radiohead. It's bollocks.

  • @Msgrv32 Couldn't agree more. Coldplay sucks

  • having thom and flea together is more or less a kiniption contest. who's looks more epileptic onstage!??! fantastic that nigel is a part of this. great stuff altogether

  • i add this band to my "must see" list. hope it's not only an incident, waiting for european tour

  • speechless

  • fucking awesome

  • i dont really like this one for some reason??? i really wanted to as well!

  • The live version so good compared to the albume , its amazing.

  • Agree Cazaq.... album version so-so, live version here very good...

  • The bass just sounds fuller , and it just has more energy live.

  • I find pretty much all of Radiohead / Thom Yorke's post OK Computer stuff to be that way. The live versions just seem to always sound better than the recorded stuff. Of course, having Flea on bass helps... :o

  • well flea plays slap right? and colin just plays with his hands(pretty sure no plectrum) so that's pry why fleas bass is more prominent.

  • He is not using slap & pop on this song , its just finger picking.

Its more proeminent because the bass has a bit of distortion on it , and also Thom plays with an octave pedal set to -12 semitones from what I can hear.

  • you can hardly hear anything...

  • what album? very interested

  • I was refering to the LP The Hollow Earth / Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses.

  • EP actually...... sorry i just can't help myself...

  • does anybody know where i can find a good audio copy of this to download ? i hope this comes to england at some point such a great live performance

  • leip!!!

  • Unfortunately, this is much better than the recorded version. I really can't get on with that one.

  • So is most of radiohead's stuff.

  • See I disagree with that. I've always been able to "get" the recorded tracks just fine, it's just these two new Yorke ones... they're just not working for me in the studio, especially this one (which is a shame, as I love all three live versions). Don't know why.

  • i think the recorded one is brilliant but, i think it goes on for too long at the end

  • i would agree that it goes to long but considering it was released on only a two track ep, the length is understandable. if it was on a 12 song album then, yeah it might be a bit long.

  • you can justifiably say that, but its a bit too long for the attention span

  • Comment removed

  • i know this sounds crazy, but i listened to it loud while going for a midnight run in the pitch dark in the deserted countryside at my home in ireland. Its a thrilling thing to do, and theres no better way to come to like the recorded version. tingles and a thrilling paranoia.....

  • love the video and the song.

hate the fuckers and know-it-all comments.

  • this shit is epic!

  • ... Jep,.. this is the shit....

    -freaking out-

  • GIVE ME FAIR PRICE, give me fair, GIVE ME FAIR Price, or I'll summon the RECKONER!!!! - that was my favorite part...... why was it left out???

  • There is already a song that has 'Reckoner' prominently in the title. I think the wordless bass-led chorus bit is fine personally.

  • yes i know but back in the day like 2003 this song was known as reckoner and tha t lyric was in there, dont get me wrong, inrainbows is fantastic but this song should have kept that lyric but kept the title as feeling pulled apart by horses, just that lyric was amazing. always brought the chill to my spine. THis version Is Fantastic TOO!! GODD DDD you cant exist with talent like this!

  • this is the new version of the first version of Reckoner ;) ;) ;) not bad!

  • There isn't an EP out for free download but there was a gratis download for people who bought the vinyl record itself. Of course, you can find it for free by other means...

  • lol. same difference.

  • i miss johnny...

  • cant belive i'm seeing thom yorke n f;ea on d same stage, this is epic shit, would of cut my nut off to be at that

  • Karlsiwoku: On September 21st a 12" was released containing The Hollow Earth and Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses.
