A group of teens did this skit in my church and it was so beautiful.... I'm not a very religious person myself but this got to me. My whole life has been a fight to get to the right place in God's arms and now I see that I just need to keep fighting and to not give up. God will always be there for me, fighting to keep me in His arms.
Thank god! My friend saw this skit, while our music teacher showed us it (Long story why) and he said he felt some conviction. And I know that the year is going by faster and thats just one of the many signs of the return my savior,

I'd count the costs before rejecting God Almighty and not rely on your circumstances to support denying Him. Many true christians had worse; they endured afflictions, abuse, rejection and persecution but fought the good fight, remaining penitent and God-fearing. No video, movie or concert is gonna make you obey God; you must be drawn to Him.

i agree with quickshot1985... i'm sure that this was not only a show but a tool from God used to reach out to many...alot of prayer (and would not doubt fasting) went before this skit. I'm a Christian and it still got to me. Everyone can relate to this skit...I know I took my eyes off of Jesus for a sec because of a guy...thankfully Jesus was always there....

I know what you mean i would't be here if it was not for God either. I did one of the things that is pointed out in this skit. I cut and i had attemped suicide. I had overdosed on about 100 different pills and i should of died but God reveled to me that HE didn't want me gone yet. HE reveled to me that he has a purpose here on earth for me and i plan to fulfill it. Idk why i just gave my testimony but i hope it helps someone out there.

Started crying at 4:35, it's amazing how the struggles we go through, God is there the whole time, and he doesn't give up. Even when you turn your back on him, he still has a forgiving heart, his love is everlasting and with out him, i wouldn't be here.

He doesn't want those already drugged out and down, he wants those near to God Himself. So you are the sad one to think things like this doesn't happen everyday. So the song isn't Christian, it's about the message that the skit is bringing. No offense but don't be so closed minded. Just look and pay attention to the art that these youth are bringing. Even if the song isn't Christian, it goes well with what the youth wants people to acknowledge. We are so caught up with what other people wants us to be that we don't pay attention to what matters. Who you are is God's gift to you. Who you become is our gift to God.

You are speaking from pain, something all us human beings have experienced in someway or another, even God himself. He sent his son to the earth so that he could save every single human being who will receive him, He wont FORCE himself on anybody. You're right he could just not have created us, but how loving would he had been if never gave us a chance? Imagine a bear in a trap and a hunter who out of sympathy wants to liberate him. He tries to win the bears confidence but he cant do it so he has to drug the bear. But it thinks this is an attack. That the hunter's trying to kill him. He doesnt realize that this is being done out of compassion. The bear would be convinced that the hunter was an enemy who was out to cause him suffering and pain. But the bear would be wrong. He reaches this incorrect conclusion because hes not a human being.

This comment is very interesting to me. You forget my friend that Christ/God does not FORCE you to love Him. You don't have to. I would agree He would be a Greedy/Selfish/Lonely/Desperate God if He created you and FORCED you to love Him, but He doesn't, you have a choice. God wants you to LOVE Him with ALL OF HIS BEING, but He doesn't force you too. If anything that sounds like the complete opposite of Greed/Selfishness/ etc. to me.
God created us because he loves us and wants us to love him. However, he doesn't want robots that obey his every command. He wants living breathing people with free-will to do as they please.
This way we love him because we want to, not because we have to.
Also, would you want your daughter to say, "I love you Mom!" because she wants to, or because she will be punished if she doesn't. Can you imagine a world where you were punished by God every time you have a bad thought or did something out of line.
As long as we are sorry for our sins and love God with all of our hearts we will live forever in Paradise with our Father.
this skit is so powerfull bcoz this is what really happens.. we get distracted and pull away from God.. It is so unfair to him bcoz we purposely pull away but when we need him hes always there to protect us. God has lots of benefits of being one of his followers he gives you someone to talk to, protection, and unconditional love. we get all these things and all we have to do is talk to him.. sounds like a pretty good deal to me..

Everything you are mentioning came because of sin into the world. God could immediately destroy everything because "The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23).

The creation was perfect after the 6th day "And God saw every thing that he had made and behold it was very good" Gen 1:31 There was no sin.
But God created us (and the angels) with a free will because you cannot have true love without free will. It is the only way that there can be true love.
But if you have a free will, you can choose to disobey God and break his commands. That is how sin came into existence. Sin was not created by God.
i grew up 18 years of my life in church yet, i still can step outside the box and look at the whole picture and realize GOD does not help every person being attacked by the devil, look at this world we live in- how can GOD be so caring, all loving, graceful, if he sits around and lets 3rd world countries starve, deal with genocide, women all over this world being trafficking for sex, children being abused sexully and physically, war, race issues, this world is hell for so many people
I've grown up in the church and this is a question that I think everyone has issues with. But first of all you must remember that these things like abuse of power, genocide, slavery (sex or non), abuse, war, racism and such are not from GOD, but from sin. Remember this is a sin cursed world we live in. These things were brought around by our own sin and our own hearts, these are not of GOD. Amazingly done. This is a glimse of how it can be in our daily walk with God. Satan and all that follow him will do anything and everything to hold us back, pull us down,destroy our lives. Why do people get pissed off when churches take offerings? Who do you think is paying for that building your sitting in! When you go to a ballgame do you get all pissed off when you pay for the cost of a ticket and whine about how much the players make?? At least church is free and they only ask that you contribute to the costs of running the church if your going to attend regularly and guests are always told to not feel obligated to give.

I know what you mean i would't be here if it was not for God either. I did one of the things that is pointed out in this skit. I cut and i had attemped suicide. I had overdosed on about 100 different pills and i should of died but God reveled to me that HE didn't want me gone yet. HE reveled to me that he has a purpose here on earth for me and i plan to fulfill it. Idk why i just gave my testimony but i hope it helps someone out there.

Started crying at 4:35, it's amazing how the struggles we go through, God is there the whole time, and he doesn't give up. Even when you turn your back on him, he still has a forgiving heart, his love is everlasting and with out him, i wouldn't be here.

My church just finished doing this skit and i played the main girl. It touched my heart doing it because its sooo true. So many people were crying and even though it was just a skit i still felt so good wen i went back to God. He sent his son to the earth so that he could save every single human being who will receive him, He wont FORCE himself on anybody. You're right he could just not have created us, but how loving would he had been if never gave us a chance? Imagine a bear in a trap and a hunter who out of sympathy wants to liberate him. He tries to win the bears confidence but he cant do it so he has to drug the bear. But it thinks this is an attack. That the hunter's trying to kill him. He doesnt realize that this is being done out of compassion. The bear would be convinced that the hunter was an enemy who was out to cause him suffering and pain. But the bear would be wrong. He reaches this incorrect conclusion because hes not a human being.

This comment is very interesting to me. You forget my friend that Christ/God does not FORCE you to love Him. You don't have to. I would agree He would be a Greedy/Selfish/Lonely/Desperate God if He created you and FORCED you to love Him, but He doesn't, you have a choice. Everything you are mentioning came because of sin into the world. God could immediately destroy everything because "The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23).

The creation was perfect after the 6th day "And God saw every thing that he had made and behold it was very good" Gen 1:31 There was no sin.
But God created us (and the angels) with a free will because you cannot have true love without free will. It is the only way that there can be true love.
But if you have a free will, you can choose to disobey God and break his commands. That is how sin came into existence. Sin was not created by God.

i grew up 18 years of my life in church yet, i still can step outside the box and look at the whole picture and realize GOD does not help every person being attacked by the devil, look at this world we live in- how can GOD be so caring, all loving, graceful, if he sits around and lets 3rd world countries starve, deal with genocide, women all over this world being trafficking for sex, children being abused sexully and physically, war, race issues, this world is hell for so many people

But first of all you must remember that these things like abuse of power, genocide, slavery (sex or non), abuse, war, racism and such are not from GOD, but from sin. Why do people get pissed off when churches take offerings? Who do you think is paying for that building your sitting in! When you go to a ballgame do you get all pissed off when you pay for the cost of a ticket and whine about how much the players make?? At least church is free and they only ask that you contribute to the costs of running the church if your going to attend regularly and guests are always told to not feel obligated to give.

to stevie7531 i am sorry that you feel that way about Christians, even tho we are supposed to turn the other cheek when people say negative things, we are supposed to love everyone despite their beleifs, we are still human and sometimes it is hard to do the right thing (ya know free will)when someone is telling you that you are weak minded and have lost hope. Maybe you wouldnt be judged so much about your lack of belief if you stopped the name calling.

lol! Is this a joke?! There is no such thing as demons holding you back or Jesus answering your prayers. You either make the right decisions in life or you don't. Plain and simple. Religion is for the weak minded sheep that have lost all hope and need a fall back crutch. I have yet to meet one normal religious person. I have yet to meet a religious person without being judged or forced to do this and that. Learn how to think for yourselves people!

stevie i came from the same mentality as you came from 2 years ago you couldnt convince me there was a god or even good and evil because i thought i had complelte control over my life the truth is you might think you do now but what happins when you are complelty helpless to your situation and something else pulls you out alive not anougher person or people i mean something greater..more power ful im sorry you have that look on christains but if you have such control that you think you have

to stevie7531. you sound like a rilly pist off ex-christion and its ok to angry but you saying that god issent out there and that he doesent answer preirs well, when you have drawen god closer to yourself and not by a pasters standerds but by your own then you will see god prably not until then. and your right except i will change some words you either make the right decision in YOUR life or you dont just dont blame people for trying to do the right thing for them,and try not being so judgmental
