This is the Elvis younger people don't see or know. These MSG performances were other-worldly. It's all Elvis. No laser beams, smoke machines, a hundred dancers, balloons & plumes -- the screams & excitement = for Elvis -- his voice & moves. No other performer got that reaction. Michael Jackson was exciting with an army of performers on stage, Madonna needs dancers & ennuendo, Elton needs outrageous costumes. Only Springsteen takes a page from Elvis' book but even he lacks that Elvis charisma.
Great video of Elvis in MSG, that was a big deal not as big as when Stone Cold Stunned Vince McMahon on Sept 22nd, 1997 on Monday Night Raw or when The Rock made his debut at Survivor Series 1996 at MSG.
Bob Dylan,George Harrison, and Art Garfunkle were at this show.Bruce Springsteen was there to.Paul Stanley of Kiss was a NYC taxi driver at the time and he said he drove people to the show.
I live in Lexington KY and I've gone up to NYC twice a year, the past few years (went up to see UK and UConn play and loved the town) - I've stayed at the Hilton on 53rd/6thave each time. I never got to see Elvis but I love staying at the same Hotel he did. Making my first trip to Graceland this October and I'm 47, paying my respects to the King!
Wow...this video was very exciteing to see!!! Wish i could have been there!!!! I love how everyone knows that Elvis will always reign as King at 'The Garden'!!!!!
I liked that guy from ELVIS WORLD the best like when he was doing Elvis' karate moves to the sound of the drummer. Yeah, he was the coolest talking head. Said he saw Elvis 32 times! Lucky cat!
@elvispresley11 don't you know it - I hope, against hope, that RCA is sitting on it, waiting for the right time to get my $100 for the 4-disc set..lol,
Elvis Presley...The greatest entertainer there was, or ever will be! The King!! Thanks Dear If for this share and thanks to retronovation7 for making it! Love it! Thumbs Up & Faved.

Yes, There will always only be one Elvis , never another like him, he was and always will be one of a kind, bless, his heart. God Bless, Hugs & Smiles, Love, Jan
I wonder what he really meant by saying "not getting the ability" upon the question "why did it take you so long to perform in N.Y"? And why only twice? Was he afraid of N.Y? Or was it the Colonel once again who didn´t dare? Thanks IF for this
@Magryd3344 He said it was a matter of "...not getting the building..." and he said it like he was kidding, because he could have had MSG anytime he wanted it.
Elvis is the greatest entertainer that ever lived and no one will ever come close. It's just great to see Elvis stride onto the stage and see thousands of flashbulbs popping. Elvis the king forever.

I've discovered the vote cheating software Michael Jackson's fans have been using since the Madison Square Garden poll more than a year ago.

Hard to imagine there is no pro footage of these concerts. The Col should have had them filmed.

its a shame he only did 4 shows he could have been back countless times if he had kicked his addict

Gosh, if they only they filmed this professionally, this world would be a much better place.
