Yep, it works for a 2005. Code P 0440; hopefully loose gas cap. The other way works too. Someone somewhere posted a diagnostic where you put in the key, hold down the odometer button. Turn key to ON position and release button. It runs a diagnostic of your instrument panel and said a code might appear. The diag. worked but forgot if I saw my code at the end.
Incredible and about time manufacturer's do this for us. I wonder if it's documented in the user manual? I bought my PT used so had to download a .pdf copy of the manual. I admit I sped read it. Just got an engine light this morning. I'll try this. As your's is a 2002. My 2005 should have this feature.
