This was filmed by a French TV crew for a show called "Disque Rouge", during the afternoon of Tuesday 5th March 1968, at London's Speakeasy Club. Bassist Gordon Haskell had told us earlier that morning that he was reluctantly leaving us to join "The Flowerpot Men" for more money!! That's probably why we looked miserable on it! This is only 2 of the 4 songs that were shot that afternoon with no audience present.
yes! fabulous stuff! i am good friends with sharon and interviewed bryn haworth years ago for my fanzine and he told me that the white strat was borrowed from a good friend and it was on this guitar he played the solo on 'hold on!'...which in fact was a minuter longer but was cut down for the single! where is that version i wonder? again thanx for this wonderful clip......
God, we look a bit moody in this amazing piece of film! Remember doing "Piece of my heart", but had forgotten we played "Uptight", so that was a big surprise! By the looks between Bryn and Gordon, it could have even been the first time we'd tried those numbers in public. It was filmed for a French TV show called "Disque Rouge".

puis ensuite " uptight " .
un grand merci .
thanks.

Amazing. Fantastic clip. Is Sharon holding an early prototype of the Rampant Rabbit?

there's a text refers to this band as being Britain's forgotten soul band.
it's true. they were sadly forgotten about.
on the white stratocaster there is, i believe, a guy called Bryn Haworth.
