I wanted to add that the spanish is horrible. This song is a lullaby but, funny enough, it says: "if the little black boy (negrito) (in this part it says negro, but for metric reasons)doesn't go to sleep, the white devil will come and eat his little foot" LOL
This song is not by Atahualpa Yupanqui OR Victor Jara NOR is it a cuban song. The composer of this song is Alfredo Zitarrosa, and he is from Uruguay. The arrangement is not very good and I'd invite you to listen to the original song to discover how wonderful it is without all the honey this arrengement puors upon it. AGUANTE URUGUAY

BTW Sorry about its origins, I thought it was by Zitarrosa. I'm not hurt or anything, I love this song and uruguayan music as well. And I like Atahualpa (Don Ata) too, although sometimes he is too "criollo", but that's ok. It was always a pleasure to listen to him talk. He was such a fine poet...

here they are again singing a piece that came from the madrigal singers as some of their members sit in rehearsals of the philippine madrigal singers, yet they say the madrigal singers suck and they perform better. RATS!
The piece is not "owned" by any Fil choir. Surely, you're not privy to the reason why this choir even started singing this (or from where they even heard it first). All you have is an absurd assumption of "sitting in to steal" and "alleged claim to superiority" more suitable for a gossip column.

Que si se sobre musica coral?! Juzga por ti mismo:
- Los bajos en el principio de la cancion entran un poco calados y añadido a esto el resto del coro entra tambien un poco fuera del tono, luego lo retoman!
-La solista tambien entra un poco calada y no hay una buena diccion de parte de todo el coro!
-En el minuto 1:10 las voces claras van demasiado rapido cuando la partitura claramente dice LENTO, y hay si mal no recuerdo un poco crescendo con un ritardando y luego a tempo, y no hacen absolutamente nada de lo que esta escrito, asi que no me parece que sea una "buena interpretacion" tu dices!
-Hay desde mi punto de vista una mala diccion y muchas cosas a parte que no se entienden estan mal pronunciadas!
No importa lo que dice la partitura, ya que es solamente un arreglo y no una composición original, y como tal, puede interpretarse aún más libremente que una composición original. En cuanto a que esté desafindo, eso, claro, habría que coregirlo. Y el español es terrible, eso es verdad sin duda.
-Y para termimar en los acordes del final que canta el coro, se escuchan notas malas, es decir notas que no son las que estan escritas en la partitura lo que quiere decir, el coro esta DESAFINADO!..
Que si se de musica coral o no, lo dejo a tu criterio, que si la interpretacion es buena despues de ver todos esos detalles, tambien lo dejo a tu criterio, ojala tenga la oportunidad de subir un video de esta pieza para que veas lo que es una interpretacion excelente y una solista perfecta!

Don'd get mad. The arrangememnt is not the best and their diction is really bad. No need to take it personally because is not a big deal. Is a nice little song, a lullaby, and not a choral work by Kodaly.
they sing this arrangement so well! a little too slow at times but it's so beautiful.
