One of the best games I've ever played, definitely. Across any genre or platform.

I can't even really play guitar or any other instrument and I am basically tone deaf, but I've decided to learn this by ear and arrange my own solo guitar version. Just for my own pleasure and challenge.

The gameplay includes a combination of top-down platforming, action-adventure, and RPG elements, quite similar to Zelda series.

The Legend of Zelda games feature a mixture of puzzles, action, adventure/battle gameplay, and exploration. These elements are obviously RPG elements

@Galanx No, theire not. Exploration, puzzles adventure and battle are present in a Resident Evil or a Half Life game, for example. In videogames, the only features of the classic board rol games are the stats and the maths. Yeah, you can say that action, puzzles, adventure and battle are RPG elements, but if you are playing D&D, Vampire, etc...

This is such a great game and so underrated. I´m lucky to have this in my collection. I hope someone makes more of these 2D-action rpg on the PS3.

This is exactly what's missing this generation.

Only PS3 seems to be offering us ACTUAL games instead of the most boring genre of them all - FPS. We get offered Demon's Souls, 3d dot game heroes, White Knight Chronicles and brand new genres like Heavy Rain...but, they're still few and far between :(

Man, me too. I love this game and miss the old school 2d action rpg games. Now the one that resembles this game, at least in difficulty, is Demon's Souls. We do need and deserve more games like these!

Although Sony have released it on the Japanese Playstation Network store. So if you have a PS3 and a Japanese PSN account, you can get the game.

Yeah, but unfortunately it is only in Japan. Sony need to get their arses in gear and release it in other regions on PSN. A game this good shouldn't be missed by anyone.

Sony Computer Entertainment have the rights to the Alundra license, so they can release it whenever they want, or the could warrant a remake.

This and Vai (both Working Designs games) have the best animation and artwork. I love their intros, storyline, and game play. I wish I had a copy of Alundra to play right now. Alundra was hard as hell too and made you feel like you accomplished something getting past the tough puzzles it had.
