@xxjash100xx I'm in film and have a broadcast quality camera and went to get video of the crowds and hopefully awesome celebrations afterwards, like the Olympic gold medal hockey game. Instead this happened. I knew it was a possibility but didn't think it would actually happen. I didn't stick around very long. I narrowly missed a couple thrown beer bottles and felt it was time to leave. So missed the looting and teargas.

Theres a FB group of 10 thousand people attending tomorrow to clean up Vancouver. Lets show them that not everyone in Vancouver are pigs with too much alcohol. While the rioters are barfing from alcohol and getting charged, the real fans (with no work/school/lve in the area) will be cleaning up their mess!

I have no legit interest in hockey or any major sport but I was in the thick of this riot. I have to say the scene down town was discussing. What had to be going through peoples heads? "oh my lord we played poorly. what could fix this? I know I'll wreck up city property and pay that in taxes later." The sick things I saw really make me wish the police had stronger rights to quell the awful stupidity that was acted out in Vancouver. I love the city, but as of today I hate the people.

To the people who are saying that Canucks fans are shameful... well, no that's not true. There was a core group of people who came into Vancouver and started the rioting. It escalated because of group syngery and being drunk assholes. There are several facebook groups asking people to post the pictures of the looters and vandalizers, as well as a huge " help clean up Vancouver" group with over 7,000 people joining in. Those are true Vancouver Canucks fans.
