this sounds like engine knock this occurs when the fuel in the cylinder ignites by itself before the spark plug ignites it. The technical name for this condition is "pre-ignition." It sounds like marbles rattling around in a can, and it generally gets worse the harder you press on the accelerator pedal. USE THE RIGHT FUEL DON'T BE CHEAP U R KILLING UR CAR... greetings from Ecuador
check your cat converter - all most all noises that you cant locate can come from the cats becase its made of ceramics and sounds like the heat shield....dealers wont tell you because federal law mandates that all manufacturers are required to change them if less than 75k miles on any vehicle, i.e. no one wants to pay for it to be replaced.
having the same problem at cold starts. Taking mine in, think the heat sheild might need to be tweeked. This exhaust sounds more like a Porsche this go around! NOTHIN LIKE A SKYLINE!
dude i have the same exact problem... have been talkin about the psa couple of weeks... any ideas on what it might be or have you spoken to infiniti about it? would love to get an idea of what's up
