Actually, it's culturally acceptable in Japan for a man to close his eyes to better listen. This could be very convenient in some speeches. Ha ha ha. Anyway, he was obviously enjoying the sound of Libera, because he expressed his immense appreciation in Part 2.

Actually, Tom's still singing with Libera, he just couldn't go on tour this year because of his busy school schedule. I saw them at the Crystal Cathedral a couple of days ago, and the boys were great, although I did miss hearing Tom.

I was there as well.. I loved the concert... I was not able to attend mass that morning.. did they announce there that, that is why Tom was not able to attend?

Neither did I; I loved the evening concert as well. Actually someone asked Robert Prizeman about Tom at a different performance, and he said that Tom wasn't able to tour with them this year because of school.

It makes me sad, though, because I think this year was probably Tom's last opportunity to sing as a treble. He's already almost 15.

I know I thought the same thing, I traveled from michigan to see them.. and although they are all my favorites.. i love tom as well.. and i was thinking that for me it was once in a lifetime thing to see them all before thier voices changed, and he wasn't there.. school is out in the next few months.. i thought.. hmm... everyone else got out of school why not tom... i was sitting, in the 3rd to the front row on the left side.. were you near me?

Exactly. Libera as a whole were amazing, but meeting Tom would've been the icing on the cake. Especially, because as you said, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The next time Libera returns to the US, Tom and perhaps even Josh and Liam's treble voices will be gone. Thank goodness for CDs!

I thought the same thing that Tom wouldn't give up touring for something that wasn't important, I had no idea about this test as i've never heard of it being i'm from the u.s. but, Liams speaking voice has really gotten deeper lately, and i kind of had thought maybe that was why Tom was not there. I didn't know Robert had confirmed that it was school, I feel much better knowing haha.. I had such a fun time! I wished they didn't have to go back to England lol

I'm thinking Tom's busy studying for the GCSE. It's similar to the US's version of the SAT. However in England, it REALLY influences your choice of university and employment. I'm sure Tom wouldn't have given up touring for something that wasn't really important.

I was in the fourth row on the right side of the cathedral. I'm finding that there were lots of Libera fans that I've talked to on YouTube that were at the concert! If only we knew then! LOL.

LOL I know right!! We all could have chatted haha... I'm sure alot of ppl seen my son, he was soo excited he was running behind the autograph table haha, i'm like Alex get outta there... Ed was like.. it's ok.. He's cute, and Josh said.. we dont mind LOL..They are such nice boys! I've been a fan for years now.. I'm dead set now I wanna see Tom perform as well, but I dont even have a passport and it's gonna be some saving lol... Do you think that Tom will be joining this summer?

Terrific performance despite the horrible conditions. Yes, it does appear Tom Cully has "graduated". All of life's milestones are bittersweet, and this one is one particularly sad as Tom, I think, was the heart of Libera. The other boys seem a bit lost without him. But thank goodness for recordings.

Well, unfortunately, it's as I assumed a while ago: Tom's last solo was the one he did in 2008, "You Were There" in Japan, the first go around with the tour for the movie. Before I knew it was going to be Josh singing this, I was really in anticipation to see if Tom would be, or at least be there at all, since I didn't know he wouldn't be on tour...

Gotta say, I'm a little disappointed :[ but I guess it's what happens. I hope he continues on, I'm not ready to give him up yet... Good job Josh.

What a poor location for a TV broadcast ... and what a poor setting for Libera's performance! It's only eight boys standing there - couldn't the stage manager find a spot with a one-piece background? And the cables of the monitor speakers wriggle & wind ugly on the ground ... And already here in part 1: Sounds like cutlery and dishes handled in the background; subdued, but still there ... Get ready for the full ruckus in part 2!

Very good performance by Libera, though; moving solo by Josh.
