Fix acid oceans by dumping alkali in them? Forget it
.
Suggestions that we can dump large amounts of alkaline chemicals into the oceans to prevent their acidification seems dead in the water. A study shows it would cost trillions of dollars.
Nothing but a complete hypocrisy and you morons follow it to the grave like a suicide bomber, destroying all that others have lived and worked for, and for what? a belief a few hold? whether you like it or not there are more people out there that think this is a bullshit theory and should be forgotten like so many other pointless exercises, but like always democracy fails and a few whining morons get a say, go inhabit mars its further from the sun you should be safe there
@flutch02 Are you going to put any facts into play? If the earth isn't heating how do you explain the opening of the Northwest passage? Also there are several billion people on this earth with several billion vehicles Now if a few billion of those vehicles were driven a day how much fossil fuel would that burn.A holy friken lot Also if CO2 isn't a pollutant what of methane? Greenland is going to melt and when it does a huge dose of methane will be released into the atmosphere Go back to your oil
KUDOS, fear the best motivator of sales, the world cant take another war so they now want us to "battle" the invisible enemy "CARBON MUST DIE" green they tell us can destroy this evil foe, but to obtain green we dont have a natural progression of tech like with i dont know everything else, for some reason Green Tech can only be obtained via a war on carbon and the ammunition u ask? TAX, carbon credits lol kill a tree to make a failed notion
lol al gore and the ipcc, the only real terrorists this world has, started the biggest mass hysteria since HG Wells and the war of the worlds, instead this time they have turned it into a role playing game with all you sad peons spreading the panic and paranoia instead of the old medium of radio waves, how does it feel sheeple? you are nothing more than a corporate advertising tool to make an elite few POLITICIANS a shit load of money, lol so much for helping the environment,
AGW Pushing is the new nutjob religion, more than 90% of these people blindly follow a political religious movement we all know as environmentalism a movement that has long been nothing but a bunch of ignoramuses tricked into thinking its their cause that they are taking up against the man, but where do they get all their data? the same political structure they oppose, lol they are the blind being led by the agenda of those whom will profit from the futile "green" industry, lol failures at life
you have to be extremely ignorant to think that mans contribution is changing anything, 5 volcanoes have been erupting for the bulk of this year this alone has released more greenhouse gas into the atmosphere than man has ever and could ever produce, so explain to me where we begin to affect things? and NO the earths temperature is not rising, infact the southern hemisphere is cooling has been for over 12 years says every credible scientists. so explain that?

dude 100 miles of ice will melt causing the sea to rise BUT!!!!!!!! there will be more evaporation and then more clouds causing less sunlight witch means it will be colder!!!!! Ultimately the world will fix it's self if global warming was true. and you know what these fucking dumb asses think, CO2 is warming the planet when actually dry ice is made of CO2 witch is somewhere between -300 degrees and -200 degrees, not 9000 degrees you dumb asses

@orkneymist over all time. this means that man could not possibly have a recordable effect on temperature. any argument to the contrary is utter fantasy coming from uneducated people. get edified sir.
@orkneymist You seem to think that cycles are yearly... not realizing that the earth is 4.5 billion years old, and the universe is 13.5 billion years old. the cycles at hand here at on a scale your feeble mind could not possibly comprehend. The sun is on a 26,000 year activity cycle and we are just moving into the high activity part of that cycle. this causes warming over time, warmer and warmer every year. the eruption of pompei put more green house gas into the atmosphere than man ever
Bullshit. all I have to say on the matter. Trying to argue with global warming people is like trying to tell a 2 year old they can have a cookie later.
@ArePenguinsAwesome dont hold your breath. if miami was going underwater do u think we mite have got some clues. i mean people have been "talking" global warming since the 70s..... have we lost one home to rising tides yet?
Why not we just turn the key and just get it overwith? Humanity has shown to do nothing but destroy. We could at least do the World a favor and restart life on earth.
@indianajoneszilla Good point (especially after reading some of the oil troll comments on this video), but I don't think we need to turn any key, it will be turned for us. We will be gone from the planet and take a fair amount of species with us (especially the larger ones). But then life and evolution keep going and perhaps a more intelligent species will have a chance to come into being (millions or billions of years later)...
@PInk77W1 National parks! They've done nothing to actually improve environment that Humans have so graciously razed. And No, I'm not one of those hippies or Tea Partiests, I'm just a PESSIMISTIC PERSON!
@indianajoneszilla u must be pessimistic. i was a kid in the early 70s.. the smog in Los Angeles was unbelievable, today it is 10x better. Things are getting much better with the enviroment not worse. peace
@PInk77W1 Thanks for that cheery update. I've never lied in LA, so I guess I must take your word. But, as we all must remember, we're as insignificant as that molecule you just crushed by putting down your drink. Not being pessimistic, just saying the truth.
@ArePenguinsAwesome What is a "Hore"? I realize I'm not nearly experienced as you, as I have only lived on this planet for 30+ years, and Hore is a new one for me...Could you explain that one to me?
Next is this ever present Liberal Eco-Geek movement, I'm not talking about the science behind life's mysteries, I'm talking about people not able to engage in a civil, educated debate, who run directly off to the name calling bit. You know that's what's called a last resort right???
@Legomakerx it would be like California`s Beaches hot and warm,Scandivania has a cold climate making it impossible to have an outdoor swimming pools let alone beaches
i believe that the government should give huuuuuge tax cuts to everyone, including those companies so that they can meet the changing demand from the people. The government is not the solution to this problem, it's the change in demand of the people as a whole for new energy sources. I also like the idea of nuclear power plants over wind and solar power...Also i don't believe in global warming or cooling, but i do believe in climate change due to the changing # of solar flares
Bullshit, Liberal propaganda exploited to dupe stupid people into throwing away money, It's a global economic shift to make even more wealth go out of the hands of the commoner. If both polar ice caps melted the oceans world wide would rise 6" and fresh water comes from land...Rivers, streams, tributaries...Etc etc.
@Nightversionn Well that's good to know, so why are you not listening to me? I'm not an Oil Troll, I have built Windmills, support renewable energy and also support company's like LA based Tesla Motors.
I'll bet my hard earned money you did or know at least one person who spent 40K to buy a Prius, paid out the ass for higher insurance and in the end only got the same fuel economy as my 90 Mazda 4cyl.
By the way, per the life cycles of Earth, we are in a cooling period.
@Tim52I Yeah...I'm sure that created problems for their society, eh? And I'm sure that the climate had reached that level in just decades, too... If you don't know anything then you shouldn't comment. You should just watch and try to learn something.
@Tim52I I was joking. The dinosaurs evolved over millions of years, the ones that were alive then were members of species that had evolved to survive there, that's basic natural selection. And they were only primitive animals who neither could do anything to change the situation, nor had any societies or harbors or cities or whatever. It is very much more serious to destroy human culture and society and so on, isn't? Than that just the lizzards most able to cope with heat get to live, like then?
@winterstellar Hundreds of millions of people will be forced to move within 50 years or something, that's pretty serious. And there will be water shortages and crops failing with subsequent famines and all sorts of things, so it is a huge problem. The scientists are only trying to help people save the world from these huge problems, they're not part of some huge, world-wide "conspiracy of science" or whatever: )
The thing is, Global warming doesnt necessarily mean warming
What it really means is global climate change, which may be human induced
For example, you have ignorant people in southern states (i.e Lousiana) going "LOL we got our first snow storm in x years. Global warming, what a joke"
Due to convection currents, ocean currents, etc, if one area gets cooler, another area will get much warmer, and so on and so forth. It all depends on how the 4 degrees warming came about
@Tim52I Then we agree then. Maybe I thought you were just another ignoramus from Louisiana or something. I have met so many lately when discussing the global warming. Sorry.:)
@orkneymist sorry man, im guessing that soon the normal temperature on earth will be 1000 degrees and soon after that warmer, and soon carbon dioxide levels will be 10000ppm also. so sorry guys, enjoy your day as predicted that will be a million degrees outside with a millionppm carbon dioxide, sorry world
@orkneymist every year is the hottest year on record, and every month is either the hottest or second hottest on record and carbon dioxide levels will keep on going up every day im guessing then.
While we were debating for the last few decades, snow in Mont Kilamanjaro (highest mountain in Africa) has receded significantly (almost no snow left as of 2010). Also, the arctic was nearly ice free in summer 2009, and there was rain in 2010. The amount of hurricanes increased in both numbers and strength. In 2004, a hurricane appeared for the first time in the South Atlantic. Malaria has spread to new heights affecting thousands of people.
@hempartist420 you have wrong information in your comment, first of all the 2009 lowest ice point was way higher then the 2007 and 2008 lowest ice point, so be sure to check the lowest ice point at the end of every summer, and its SUPPOSED to rain in the arctic, around 6 to 10 inches of rain each year, there was hurricanes in the south atlantic before but it has NOTHING to do with the earth warming up, even though this series tells us that it will happen when earth warms by 1 degree there lying.
@YoshiLikesFruit Glaciers are disappearing and NO ONE can deny that fact, I am sick of people denying reality for absolutely no reason, even if it is not man-made there is no reason not to prepare for it
@hempartist420 Ok you win the ice is melting. but still, global warming is not man made because if you notice the temperature graph over the last 600,000 years there were times when earth warms and cools, and also at quite a few of the warm periods had temperatures even warmer then today and also lower summer lowest ice points then today. Also because we are above the average earth temperature and way above the average CO levels, we will soon go to a cooling period.
First I recommend reviewing your qualifications to make such a determination. Consider your education and training. Do you have ANY? Not likely. Given this you are in much the same situation as are the typical citizen. When you don't have a good grasp of an issue you consult a qualified expert. Here's where you can read what they've been saying for years. Enjoy learning.
I suggest that you reconsider your position. Thinking you can tell me what to do is about as rational as your global warming denials.
.
If you have a rational argument to support your position, please, let's see it! But I know you don't have one. Who know what you really think. Try reading what the experts have said over and over again.
.
Google: With climate change, long-term trends are key
@qsteveens actually forget about earlier im gonna remove the other comment. Ok now I have a question, if in the 1960s and 1970s people were complaining about global cooling, how come there complaining about global warming now? Also, we are in a warm cycle, it will end in 2017, and no wonder they were complaining about global cooling on a cooling cycle, and now they are complaining about global warming on a warming cycle.
There's a post with a link on your channel in regards to the "global cooling" issue. There's much too much to learn before you can develop a well informed opinion. Sort of like thinking it's a bad idea to wear seat belts because someone told you that you could get trapped in your car and burn to death because of them. A little research is in order.
@qsteveens You don't understand the issue as well as you think you do. The global warming argument isn't understood without a grasp of politics, which eclipses the science. If all you see are the scientific claims you're in the blind.
You've been talking down to people who understand more than you.
How could you know how well I understand the issue?
You say there is an "argument". That implies there are two credible sides to the issue. There isn't.
Try to find credible support for we humans NOT warming the planet. You can't. It is a fact that every respected scientific institution that studied the issue concluded about the same based on many studies; not political, just a fact. So find credible support for denials and I'd love to review it.
@ReduceGHGs It's amazing you don't see the political side to this. The proposed "solution" is the biggest political change in history. Some people are blind to propaganda when it stares them in the face.
The political side... Generally, the "right" is more business-corporate-industry-"free" market influenced. Their business-as-usual policies protect polluting activities. The "left" generally favors more regulation-environmental safety-adjusting the business model to pay for negative externalities. Google Environmental Externalities.
.
Rely on the experts. I noticed you didn't provide support for your denials. No surprise.
@ReduceGHGs No, you still don't understand. The issue isn't the typical political positions of left and right. The issue is IPCC's solution to their declared problem of global warming. The proposal is to implement political changes of global and historical proportions. You can't understand the global warming issue without understanding the politics behind it. You seem to only concern yourself with the scientific arguments instead of the politics the IPCC & the other institutions fall under.
Do you think that climate change is IPCC's problem THEY came up with? Sorry but the studies go back before 1979. Google: The Charney Report 1979
It's SCIENCE not politics but implementation of solutions are political. The "right" resists change while the "left" is blocked from initiating change.
There is no scientific "argument" over the core issue. EVERY respected scientific institution agrees. Where's YOUR science?
@ReduceGHGs The implementation of solutions is what drives the "science." Cap & trade didn't begin until 1990's so it's ironic you mentioning the 1970's since back then the big scare mongering was global cooling. Also funny you insisting there is no scientific argument considering the growing number of scientists objecting to this nonsense.
As for my science, as an engineer I know the limitations of modeling & simulation. I'm wondering if you have any technical background yourself.
I was trying to help you better understand that the many, many studies that have been completed go back to at least 1979. Why do you label the science "scare mongering"? Does it make you afraid for our future generations? That would be understandable.
You claim to be an engineer so you should have a healthy respected for scientific studies. When I asked for those that you rely on, your science, you didn't provide anything. I know why. Do you?
@ReduceGHGs I like how you choose your words & avoiding "scientists" & saying instead "scientific institutions." You obviously know of the growing number of scientists disputing this crap so you pretend they don't exist.
Now I don't claim to be an engineer, I am an engineer. I'm confronted regularly with conflicts between data and politics. And this engineer is still waiting to hear your qualifications as an expert on global climate.
Again there's a complete lack of evidence in your post. It's an obvious and transparent pattern.
Yes you do CLAIM to be an engineer. A fact. And again, no supporting evidence.
Given the fact that you clearly don't do climate research it would be reasonable to rely on respected, credible experts. Our respected scientific bodies are comprised of qualified scientists that examine the evidence. Since you are NOT qualified on what do you rely? Vested interest propaganda?
@ReduceGHGs Here's a few qualified scientists for you to consider Einstein. You must have overlooked them in your years of extensive research over the years.
Richard Lindzen, Prof of Atm Sci, MIT. Lead Author Ch 7 IPCC TAR, published >200 papers & books
Marcel Leroux, Prof of Climatology, Dir Lab of Climatology, Jean Moulin U, France
Harrison Schmitt, PhD Harvard Univ, analyzed absence of atm climate effects on lunar geology
Garth Paltridge, PhD U of Melbourne, World Climate Program
Lindzen... member of the Science, Health, and Economic Advisory Council, think tank funded by corporations including ExxonMobil.
Harrison Schmitt... Annapolis Center for Science-Based Public Policy, an organization that received more than $860,000 in funding from oil giant ExxonMobil. Try reading what Harvard's position is.
I won't bother to look all of them up.
I can provide "experts" that say we didn't land on the moon. Research credibility, and if they are respected.
Garth Paltridge... affiliated with the Natural Resources Stewardship Project, a Canadian front group tied to energy industry lobbyists.
The World Climate Programme comes via the World Meteorological Organization. "The build-up of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere alters the radiative balance of the atmosphere. The net effect is to warm the Earth's surface..."
The science is well established. Try NAS, AAAS, NCAR, ...
@ReduceGHGs It's interesting that your argument is reduced to your admitting you're not qualified on GW, and acting as an adviser to people you think are equally unqualified. Including people like me who know more than you. If all you're doing is urging people to listen to experts unlike yourself then you're really not playing a profound role.
Now keep repeating the dogma you've been beating here. "There's no argument, the debate is over, There's no place like home, there's no place like home."
@ReduceGHGs I figured the best you can do is filter out what you don't want to hear. When you're done tuning out & want to do some more scholarly research try reading chapter 7 of the PICC Third Annual Report.
I've never claimed to be an expert. I've done a lot of research over the years and understand that there is no credible debate among those that actively study the issue. If you don't believe the many scientific institutions do some honest research of the completed studies while avoiding propaganda. The vested interests spread doubt where no reasonable doubt exists. Here's a good short film on the subject.
@qsteveens My sources were the scientists, not the organizations. The point is they did research directly in the field of climate change, debunking your claim that no scientists involved in this field disagreed with GW. You accuse Paltridge of political bias yet you deny any politics in the IPCC.
If you want to be a crybaby you can filter my posts but the information isn't for you anyway. Lots of people out there on the fence trying to figure out the GW crap they're being scared with.
The IPCC is but one of many institutions. They found for the FOURTH time that we humans are warming the planet. They review hundreds of studies.
I can't help it if you are scared. If you are concerned (afraid?) for the generations that come after then you should be. You dismiss the science by calling it "crap". That's easy isn't it. Much easier than dealing with the problem.
@ReduceGHGs Are you really stupid or do you just pretend? I just listed highly qualified scientists working for respected scientific institutions who disagree with GW. It's hilarious you bringing up moon hoax nuts, you act just like they do. Debunk their lies and they just repeat them later. Even funnier is your espousing liberals on your channel yet GW isn’t political at all huh?
Now go act like the mature science commentator that you are and say NEWS FLASH some more!
"neutral" in the face of the overwhelming scientific evidence? What tha?
If that's the case I hope you aquire some critical thinking skills in the future. Among those that study climate change there is no credible doubt. I recommend reading what they've been saying for over 30 years. Here are some related topics worth learning about.
.
The Anthropocene Epoch, The Carbon Cycle, Ocean Acidification
What do you do? Spread the word. Support policy makers that understand the risks. Sit on your arse if your don't give a rip and let it all flush down the drain. But, for the sake of self-preservation, I recommend working for change. Get involved.
As for determining if "it" is real or not I recommend reliance on what all of our respected scientific institutions have been saying for years. And again, this is basically what ALL of the institutions that have considered the issue have said. We humans are affecting the climate, mainly by burning fossil fuels and clearing the land. The consequences may be dire. No one knows how bad it may get because this has never happened before and there are too many uncertainties.
@ReduceGHGs Now you sound like a creationist. Yes you do.
What? Spread the word? What word?
Here in current Lithuania, we don't care 'bout tis shit. And we don't have biased media here, too. Like, LNK and TV3(which are like the biggest enemies in the terms of programming), they say the exact same things in the news, so does LTV(the national broadcaster), and so does LRytasTV(which is a news programmer).
A creationist? What tha?? No, far from it. You're hearing things. Better get that checked!
.
If you don't care about climate change, which affects not only people in Lithuania but everyone around the world, you are uninformed, irrational, or someone that should seek help.
.
There are plenty of sources on the net where you can learn about the climate change and what you can do to help. Getting informed is the first step in solving any problem.
@ReduceGHGs Your atitude equals a creationists one.
I'm not saying it won't affect us, nor any other peoples.
I'm saying we feel better braging about the economy! And How we want Lego Mindstorms NXT!
I'm just saying, that our people DON'T CARE.
Come here, and tell people "Climate Change! Climate change!". I can tell you how it's in lithuanian, if you want, but some people will pass, not caring, others, will kick the life out of your ass, and will take credit for doing so.
SOME people don't care. Most are of them are just uninformed.
It doesn't sound like fun in Lithuania. Local concerns of safety or just getting enough to eat can understandably put climate change in the back seat. I haven't experienced that but I believe I understand.
Those of us that can help the move to sustainable cultures should do so. We have no other rational or moral choice. Doing nothing condemns others to unnecessary hardship.
You post like a kid that's spent too much time playing video games.
I provide information to those that are willing to learn. If it makes you laugh, great! Have fun.
.
For those that care about our future generations I recommend reading and learning about the climate crisis. Join the fight to sustainable livings. Anything less is simply not sustainable. Read about The Anthropocene Epoch and Ocean Acidification for starters.
Another expected vulgar adolescent comment. It must be frustrating not to have credible support for you position. Still you persist. Why? Fear? What is it that you fear? Change? News flash... No change, no life. But not all change is good. Continuing to pollute the atmosphere with about a million years of stored carbon EVERY YEAR affects climate patterns. The oceans have absorbed about half the carbon so far. This affects their acidity balance. Know about that? Care?
Thanks either way but not only do I not "believe" my silly postings here on YouTube are not worth paying for. If they are useful to some, providing information they lack, then great. If you think that more information is a bad thing then you're right where the propaganda machine wants you to be. Drinking their Kool Aid. I recommend reading and learning more about the climate crisis.
You know whats funny, Were actually ganna be the first species that are going to destroy ourselves. To think we were so smart?! HAH sorry for my spelling errors.
Oh also, The whole 2012 isnt really a myth, Im not saying the world ganna end the mayans believed this is a new cycle for us to come as one and change for the better but we all know thats not ganna happen! so please live your life.
Well national geographic why dont you get the stick out of your ass and actually help the world Okay?! I mean the scientist are always saying save the earth blah blah but actually you guys are living in a big ass house wasting energy yourselves so stop complaining.
Historical perspective on the Russian heat wave of 2010
.
As climate scientists continue to study the underlying dynamics of Russia's extreme heat event during the summer of 2010, in order to better understand the extent to which human-caused climate change may have played a role, we wanted to put the Russian heat wave of 2010 into historical context.
@123serioussam Climate change is natural, but what's happening right now is not. Currently we are supposed to be in an interglacial period, leading to an imminent glaciation. Instead, it's getting warmer, causing more erratic weather. The only reason climate is not doing what it SHOULD be doing is our own activity.
Fuck global warming. It's called a fucking cycle. There was an ice age before and there will be 1 again. Either way we are fucked. It's repetition. It happens over and over again. The cycles are reversing. and i don't mean weather cycles. Human cycles are reversing. Sound's complicated. Ha. Study the mayan tribe and you know what i am talking about..... We are the last cycle due to end december 21st 2012. That's what the mayan's believe!!!!

Sustainability is a squishy term—and difficult to operationalize for public policy
.
Perhaps the underlying problem is the public’s lack of understanding about material stocks and flows, integrals and derivatives, i.e., the calculus of unsustainability. In the U.S., we simply do not seem to get it.

Suggestions that we can dump large amounts of alkaline chemicals into the oceans to prevent their acidification seems dead in the water. A study shows it would cost trillions of dollars.

I did watch. And I did learn something.
Its just that Cities washing away doesnt affect the environment as much as we'd assume...
Nature is notoriously adaptable
Humanity, on the other hand, isnt so lucky
Tim52I 1 year ago
@Tim52I I was joking. The dinosaurs evolved over millions of years, the ones that were alive then were members of species that had evolved to survive there, that's basic natural selection. And they were only primitive animals who neither could do anything to change the situation, nor had any societies or harbors or cities or whatever. It is very much more serious to destroy human culture and society and so on, isn't? Than that just the lizzards most able to cope with heat get to live, like then?
winterstellar 1 year ago
@winterstellar Hundreds of millions of people will be forced to move within 50 years or something, that's pretty serious. And there will be water shortages and crops failing with subsequent famines and all sorts of things, so it is a huge problem. The scientists are only trying to help people save the world from these huge problems, they're not part of some huge, world-wide "conspiracy of science" or whatever: )
winterstellar 1 year ago
@winterstellar
It all depends on how the 4 degrees warming came about
Tim52I 1 year ago
@Tim52I Then we agree then. Maybe I thought you were just another ignoramus from Louisiana or something. I have met so many lately when discussing the global warming. Sorry.:)
winterstellar 1 year ago
@winterstellar And I assumed that you were one of those extremely over zealous environmentalists
I prefer the term global climate change. Its just more correct imo.
Im just amazed it took so long for us to stop doing so many emissions...
I mean, more emissions = more cost
less cost = good
therefore more emissions= bad
Its not rocket science...

Enough is enough! It is time for change not lies.
hempartist420 1 year ago
@hempartist420 you have wrong information in your comment, first of all the 2009 lowest ice point was way higher then the 2007 and 2008 lowest ice point, so be sure to check the lowest ice point at the end of every summer, and its SUPPOSED to rain in the arctic, around 6 to 10 inches of rain each year, there was hurricanes in the south atlantic before but it has NOTHING to do with the earth warming up, even though this series tells us that it will happen when earth warms by 1 degree there lying.
YoshiLikesFruit 1 year ago
@YoshiLikesFruit Glaciers are disappearing and NO ONE can deny that fact, I am sick of people denying reality for absolutely no reason, even if it is not man-made there is no reason not to prepare for it
hempartist420 1 year ago
@hempartist420 Ok you win the ice is melting. but still, global warming is not man made because if you notice the temperature graph over the last 600,000 years there were times when earth warms and cools, and also at quite a few of the warm periods had temperatures even warmer then today and also lower summer lowest ice points then today. Also because we are above the average earth temperature and way above the average CO levels, we will soon go to a cooling period.

YoshiLikesFruit 1 year ago
@YoshiLikesFruit .
There's a post with a link on your channel in regards to the "global cooling" issue. There's much too much to learn before you can develop a well informed opinion. Sort of like thinking it's a bad idea to wear seat belts because someone told you that you could get trapped in your car and burn to death because of them. A little research is in order.
qsteveens 1 year ago 18
@qsteveens You don't understand the issue as well as you think you do. The global warming argument isn't understood without a grasp of politics, which eclipses the science. If all you see are the scientific claims you're in the blind.
You've been talking down to people who understand more than you.
FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 qsteveens = ReduceGHGs
ReduceGHGs 8 months ago
@ReduceGHGs It's amazing you don't see the political side to this. The proposed "solution" is the biggest political change in history. Some people are blind to propaganda when it stares them in the face.
FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 .
Again, you assume to know what I think.
ReduceGHGs 8 months ago
@ReduceGHGs No, you still don't understand. The issue isn't the typical political positions of left and right. The issue is IPCC's solution to their declared problem of global warming. The proposal is to implement political changes of global and historical proportions. You can't understand the global warming issue without understanding the politics behind it. You seem to only concern yourself with the scientific arguments instead of the politics the IPCC & the other institutions fall under.
FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000
ReduceGHGs 8 months ago
@ReduceGHGs The implementation of solutions is what drives the "science." Cap & trade didn't begin until 1990's so it's ironic you mentioning the 1970's since back then the big scare mongering was global cooling. Also funny you insisting there is no scientific argument considering the growing number of scientists objecting to this nonsense.
As for my science, as an engineer I know the limitations of modeling & simulation. I'm wondering if you have any technical background yourself.
FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 .

FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 .
ReduceGHGs 8 months ago
FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000
Lindzen... member of the Science, Health, and Economic Advisory Council, think tank funded by corporations including ExxonMobil.
ReduceGHGs 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 Just for fun I looked up another of your sources.
.

FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 .
I just debunked most of your sources. Is that all you have to say about it, nothing! LOL!
Too adolescent for me. Cling to your denial if you choose. I'll stick with the best science has to offer.
I'll filter your posts out from now on but I recommend pulling your head out and having an HONEST look around. See ya.
ReduceGHGs 8 months ago
@ReduceGHGs I figured the best you can do is filter out what you don't want to hear. When you're done tuning out & want to do some more scholarly research try reading chapter 7 of the PICC Third Annual Report.
FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 .
Google: The Denial Machine Video Frontline
ReduceGHGs 8 months ago
@qsteveens My sources were the scientists, not the organizations. The point is they did research directly in the field of climate change, debunking your claim that no scientists involved in this field disagreed with GW. You accuse Paltridge of political bias yet you deny any politics in the IPCC.
If you want to be a crybaby you can filter my posts but the information isn't for you anyway. Lots of people out there on the fence trying to figure out the GW crap they're being scared with.
FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 .
News flash... Our respected scientific institutions are comprised highly qualified scientists.
ReduceGHGs 8 months ago
@ReduceGHGs Are you really stupid or do you just pretend? I just listed highly qualified scientists working for respected scientific institutions who disagree with GW. It's hilarious you bringing up moon hoax nuts, you act just like they do. Debunk their lies and they just repeat them later. Even funnier is your espousing liberals on your channel yet GW isn’t political at all huh?
Now go act like the mature science commentator that you are and say NEWS FLASH some more!
FantasticBob7000 8 months ago
@FantasticBob7000 .
I pretend to degbate the issue with you. Sorry. I'm really providing necessary information to those that lack it.
You listed scientists, I found that they have questionalble motives. That apparently doesn't matter to you. Shy?
Like you the moon landing deniers lack respected scientific evidence of their claims.

This is evidence of some of the denialism you have so much FAITH in.

@mantas1111000 .
ReduceGHGs 1 year ago
@ReduceGHGs Now you sound like a creationist. Yes you do.
What? Spread the word? What word?
Here in current Lithuania, we don't care 'bout tis shit. And we don't have biased media here, too. Like, LNK and TV3(which are like the biggest enemies in the terms of programming), they say the exact same things in the news, so does LTV(the national broadcaster), and so does LRytasTV(which is a news programmer).
I can't here. OK what else?
mantas1111000 1 year ago
@mantas1111000 .

I'm not saying it won't affect us, nor any other peoples.
I'm saying we feel better braging about the economy! And How we want Lego Mindstorms NXT!
I'm just saying, that our people DON'T CARE.
Come here, and tell people "Climate Change! Climate change!". I can tell you how it's in lithuanian, if you want, but some people will pass, not caring, others, will kick the life out of your ass, and will take credit for doing so.
mantas1111000 1 year ago
@mantas1111000 .
ReduceGHGs 1 year ago
@ReduceGHGs You didn't get it, I guess.
If you come here, shouting "Globalinis atšilimas!", you'll probably get laughet at majorly.
Then mentally raped. Then "Lithuanians Unite!" will happen. Then, we'll kick Every. Fucking. Atom of life. In your body.
