  • Kyle, it would be just lovely if you redid this piece with better sound quality. If you still know the piece.

  • @DickKnowsBest kyle is good and thats it. ValentinaLisitsa is just on another level. kyle will get in our memories because of video games and animes improvs. classical music is something that goes beyond anything in music.

  • Beautiful!!! I love this music!! Thanks.......

  • Hi !! ;D

    Greeting from Thailand ..

    ^^

  • Bravo!!!!!!

  • I would like to hear this piece but when you have seriously practised it :P

I wanna know how skilled you are in classic music ^^

  • Laaaal

    Funny sound :P

  • Hey Kyle Landry~! That was wonderful! Do you mind trying the piece La Campanella?

  • Comment removed

  • damn... this video is actually not up to par at all!

I practiced this piece for a good 5 hours in the last 2 days and boy has it improved!

  • Kyle is definitely the best improviser on Youtube hands down... but to say he's the best pianist on Youtube is a bit debatable.

  • He gives Gabriela Montero a run for her money. :)

  • LOL

  • i've seen a lotta of pianists on youtube n in my opinion kyle's prolly the best.

  • Actually, to say that anyone is the best at anything on youtube is always debatable.

  • notes are not clear at times, and there isnt enough dynamic.

  • Yeah I know, but it's also the worst audio in the world.

  • brilliant, very very good ^^

  • <3 <3

  • Actually I'm not gonna debate who's a better pianist because both are extremely skilled players.

  • Yeah, fantasex is a very good pianist, but seriously. . .comparing her to Kyle is like comparing Miley Cyrus with Michael Jackson. . .you know what I mean.

  • you DO know that you are probably the best pianist on youtube, right?

since you are modest, i don´t expect a "yes" from you, but i think, most of us, if not all of us consider you brilliant

  • i wouldnt say in ALL of youtube...kylelandry is extremely skilled but Fantasiex3 catches my attention more. Still everything he plays is awesome.

  • Shut up bewbala, Kyle pwns Fantasex or however you spell that name.

  • Well it's not just me lol. She won numerous awards plus playing at Carnegie Hall, that's pretty impressive.

  • No Jonathan Cambry all the way.

  • Marry me

  • So brilliant! Not only are your memorization skills amazing, but your playing skills are legendary!

  • Ahh, I LOVE this piece! You played it fantastically.

  • wheres your p155!?!?

  • I can't play this piece on a keyboard, it just won't work :P

  • Why it wouldnt work?.. the pedal isnt the same?

  • You really really really need an acoustic piano, or even better, a grand for these large scale works!!

  • @kylelandry

    try la campanella

    it's great ^^

  • kyle you should try la campanella :D

  • wow!! I love Chopin!! ^_^ you play GREAT!! i wish my fingers could move as fast as my ears x3

your really good and when i tried this piece, it was SUPER i mean like SUPER hard for me to remember x3

please keep up the great work ^_^

  • No way... I'm learning this piece and it's actually killing my hands but I think you just made my dream come true! AMAZING performance and hope to see more with you and Chopin in the future!

    Ps. Rock on :D

  • you lucky person to have a yamaha! why dont you play on it in more of your vids instead of the eletric ones?

  • It seems your piano is in the bathroom LOL

You are the most original piano player I know, your improvisations are awesome ^^

  • Ah Kyle! FIrstly, i know you needed some inspriration, and usually wheni need it too, I turn to the master of all master's ... CHOPIN!!!!!!!

I was going to message you to say learn a new on eof his songs, but you gotta add friends so i was like dayym!

AMazing memory performance!!!! Im also learning his Scherzos, nocturnes and polonaise'. if you wanna talk about songs to learn and piano stuff etc i'd be more than happy to!

    Matt.. (I will record soon)

  • niiice kyle, and looool I likt the world (almost) in the title:D , your the best " almost" haha

  • I adore Chopin!

  • Great piece. love it! and it's a real accomplishment to memorize a piece of a piece. I could still do that some time ago.... Congrats!! Can't wait to hear more from you!

  • Corridors of Time - Zohar Arrangement? It's hard... but I think it's worthwhile.

  • I love chopin... you should do some mozart... :]

  • butt (>-______-)>

  • Holy crap that was awesome...

  • aha! nice.....make more game pieces. =D

  • I can't wait to hear you on a national stage playing a Steinway or Bachendorferr grand. :)

  • lol. won't happen.

  • o.OOO... if that wont happen that makes me a failure in life -____- lol

  • Great job haha :)

  • Hey thanks a lot =)

  • We need to catch up on each other's lives hehe :)

  • I know! How's school treating you, and more importantly what pieces are you working on for piano? :O

  • I'm stressing over college apps right now. I've never been so stressed out in my life.

I'm preparing a LOT of pieces, for competitions and for college auditions.

Bach - Toccata in c minor, BWV 911

Haydn - Sonata no. 62 in e-flat major, 1st mvt

Chopin - Ballade no. 1 in g minor (had to relearn it from two years ago actually)

Scriabin - Etude no. 5, op. 42 in c-sharp minor

    Rachmaninoff - Sonata no. 2 in b-flat minor, op. 36, 1st mvt

Kapustin - etude no. 3 "toccatina", op. 40

  • Awesome.... I love that ballade... and Kapustin wrote some epic etudes haha.

  • the coda of the ballade is so retarded. -_-; but otherwise it's so awesome, but wayyyy too overplayed. i wanna learn some of the other ballades..

dude, i swear, the kapustin etude i'm playing is the best out of his 8 concert etudes haha. XD check it out on youtube if you haven't already. ^^ i might come out with a kapustin video in the future someday haha

how about you? what pieces are you learning?

  • Sorry for not answering yet T_T.

I wasn't learning much then anyway, but now I am. I'm learning a Ginestera Sonata, a liszt transcription of a Schumann song, this really cool Griffes piece (obscure composer, but good), and Beethoven's Waldstein sonata. Sorry for the unspecifics :|

  • Btw, about the G minor ballade: It is over-played... but I still love it. I am going to be playing it for my entire history class (it's a huge class, around 80 kids, but there's a beautiful steinway in the class!) after spring break because we are on Chopin right now... I'm a bit nervous, but I can't wait to perform one of my all time favorite pieces. I'm going to take it so seriously while I'm performing, can't wait!

  • Nice! I want to learn this one movement from one of Ginastera's Sonatas.. I think it's the fourth movement of the first sonata? I don't know, but that one sounds really cool. :)

AHAHA DUDE. I'm DONE with the Waldstein Sonata. I'm so sick of it. It's a really nice sonata... but I've been working on it for the past four years now. It's time to move on. -_-; I had to use the complete sonata for my auditions so that's why I couldn't get rid of them just yet.

Get more classical videos out! ;)

  • @kylelandry OhGodKapustin. *Slams hands dramatically onto keyboard, hitting random aharmonious blockchords in the meter of 9/13*

I'll stick to Chopin. Pretty Scherzo, btw. :)

  • I love those chordssss

  • @Fantasiex3 That's an awesome..and rather terrifyingly-difficult lineup. Where are you applying?

  • I'm applying to 7 colleges total. XD

Two academic schools: Northwestern, New york University

and five music schools: New England Conservatory, Peabody Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, Eastman School of Music, and Juilliard.

@___@ I hate college apps right now...

  • Chopin's Nocturne in Eb! Please!! D: Id love to hear you play it :(

  • Did it already :P

  • Kyle, a good free program I used for quite some time...was "Magic Video Converter"

Very simple to use. You can find a good quick one from torrenting it.

    Also, very nice performance.

  • Bavo! Bravo! ahhh Chopin.... btw if anyone here is a geek get Eternal Sonata for the PS3 it's a RPG in a musical world. The main character.....Chopin....and he has blue hair!

  • I'm always like, "Chopin is my favourite composer," and people are always like "ETERNAL SONATA?" and I'm like, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that." it kind of makes me angry though because Chopin had a really big nose lol D:

but I also heard that game was bad :U

  • it depends the ps3 is better than the xbox version but it's a typical rpg, dungeons, chests, leveling up...then the music comes in and changes alot. and trippy colorfull designs too.

  • Chopin + Kyle = Better than average Monday

  • AMAZING! O_o

  • Ohhhh snap. It's this song.

I got beat in my last piano competition by this song in the Chopin division. Some girl played it while I played a Nocturne.

But nice rendition as usual, Kyle.

  • Awesome

  • kyle you are absolutely amazing!

  • Amazing :) I Lovee Chopin!

  • Nice try. I really love Chopin music, so I'm glad that you play him music...you should try to play ballade no.1 op. 23 ;)

  • That is one of my favorite piano works of all time. I have been learning it for years now... you can really always find something new to correct!

  • Indeed...I try to play this one for a 2 months and I've never been happy how I play it this beautiful piece...I'm too bad... :)

  • groovy.. How about Chopin's Nocturne op 9 no 2 next?

  • He's already done it

  • Great!! :D

  • Good job!

  • Brava!

  • Amazing. I love Chopin. :)

  • nice man! 5*

  • nice job on this one...the quality is not optimal, but I dont spite you. This is camera.

  • Where are you playing? You seem to have piano sources everywhere.

  • I am in college remember? lol.

  • I love Chopin. You did a very nice job, I know how hard it is to memorize pieces >.> And even after I memorize, my fingers slip than yours do.

  • I miss hearing you play...play moooorreeE :)

  • Awesome as always Kyle!

  • good al usual :) keep it up Kyle :D

  • good job :D

  • Excellent as always. And nice to for once see how you do on an acoustic piano =D

  • Fortunately you have a sick memory for piano (based on ALL your videos). Love your playing, hope to be as good as you one day..

  • first to comment =)
