@DickKnowsBest kyle is good and thats it. ValentinaLisitsa is just on another level. kyle will get in our memories because of video games and animes improvs. classical music is something that goes beyond anything in music.
Yeah, fantasex is a very good pianist, but seriously. . .comparing her to Kyle is like comparing Miley Cyrus with Michael Jackson. . .you know what I mean.
No way... I'm learning this piece and it's actually killing my hands but I think you just made my dream come true! AMAZING performance and hope to see more with you and Chopin in the future!
Ah Kyle! FIrstly, i know you needed some inspriration, and usually wheni need it too, I turn to the master of all master's ... CHOPIN!!!!!!!
I was going to message you to say learn a new on eof his songs, but you gotta add friends so i was like dayym!
AMazing memory performance!!!! Im also learning his Scherzos, nocturnes and polonaise'. if you wanna talk about songs to learn and piano stuff etc i'd be more than happy to!
Great piece. love it! and it's a real accomplishment to memorize a piece of a piece. I could still do that some time ago.... Congrats!! Can't wait to hear more from you!
the coda of the ballade is so retarded. -_-; but otherwise it's so awesome, but wayyyy too overplayed. i wanna learn some of the other ballades..
dude, i swear, the kapustin etude i'm playing is the best out of his 8 concert etudes haha. XD check it out on youtube if you haven't already. ^^ i might come out with a kapustin video in the future someday haha
I wasn't learning much then anyway, but now I am. I'm learning a Ginestera Sonata, a liszt transcription of a Schumann song, this really cool Griffes piece (obscure composer, but good), and Beethoven's Waldstein sonata. Sorry for the unspecifics :|
Btw, about the G minor ballade: It is over-played... but I still love it. I am going to be playing it for my entire history class (it's a huge class, around 80 kids, but there's a beautiful steinway in the class!) after spring break because we are on Chopin right now... I'm a bit nervous, but I can't wait to perform one of my all time favorite pieces. I'm going to take it so seriously while I'm performing, can't wait!
Nice! I want to learn this one movement from one of Ginastera's Sonatas.. I think it's the fourth movement of the first sonata? I don't know, but that one sounds really cool. :)
AHAHA DUDE. I'm DONE with the Waldstein Sonata. I'm so sick of it. It's a really nice sonata... but I've been working on it for the past four years now. It's time to move on. -_-; I had to use the complete sonata for my auditions so that's why I couldn't get rid of them just yet.
Bavo! Bravo! ahhh Chopin.... btw if anyone here is a geek get Eternal Sonata for the PS3 it's a RPG in a musical world. The main character.....Chopin....and he has blue hair!
I'm always like, "Chopin is my favourite composer," and people are always like "ETERNAL SONATA?" and I'm like, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that." it kind of makes me angry though because Chopin had a really big nose lol D:
it depends the ps3 is better than the xbox version but it's a typical rpg, dungeons, chests, leveling up...then the music comes in and changes alot. and trippy colorfull designs too.
Kyle, it would be just lovely if you redid this piece with better sound quality. If you still know the piece.

Kyle is definitely the best improviser on Youtube hands down... but to say he's the best pianist on Youtube is a bit debatable.

kylelandry 2 years ago
I'm stressing over college apps right now. I've never been so stressed out in my life.
I'm preparing a LOT of pieces, for competitions and for college auditions.
Bach - Toccata in c minor, BWV 911
Haydn - Sonata no. 62 in e-flat major, 1st mvt
Chopin - Ballade no. 1 in g minor (had to relearn it from two years ago actually)
Scriabin - Etude no. 5, op. 42 in c-sharp minor
Rachmaninoff - Sonata no. 2 in b-flat minor, op. 36, 1st mvt
Kapustin - etude no. 3 "toccatina", op. 40
Fantasiex3 2 years ago
Awesome.... I love that ballade... and Kapustin wrote some epic etudes haha.
