the very idea that there should be a Hall of Fame W/O the Moody Blues IS appalling.....oh well...who cares what the majority thinks......lowest common denominator....anyway :)))
@likewowmanhey O'Connell Center in Gainesville, FL; George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA; and the "Orlando O-Rena," Orlando, FL. Solid performances every time. A great band.
@zappatx YES.... it´s Patrick on the video... I love Mike Pinder... But I also Love Patrick Moraz... The Moodies are GREAT whoever they have in the keys.... This band really ROCKS.....
Maybe They are working on it cause like I said I just seen it happened I watched this vid featured it and it went into a playlist of a bunch of moody tunes so if You or I feature a vid could go into a playlist if it is the first vid on a channel and that first vid is the start of a playlist if a playlist is featured? youtube rocks! I think they are working on it cause I just seen it happen
It was so cool somehow I featured Your tune from the moodys and it went right into a super cool moody blues play list on my chan but now it don't happen WTF! it was awesome! Youtube needs to get the play list thing right.
The Moodies are truly phenomenal!! Pure brilliance and perfection!! Their music is full of real emotion and feeling. So inspirational and so mesmerizing!! I grew up on this band and their music truly impacted my life and touched my soul so deeply. The Moodies have touched so many souls through the years and still to this day!! So beautiful!! A timeless band indeed!! Cant wait to see them this spring!! :)) The Moodies forever my friends!! ♥
I think their best song, takes me back to a much safer place in time when being a child was freedom to play at the park with friends, walking to school alone without fear of danger and traditional family values were the norm.
This is one of my favorite Moody Blues songs. It has driven me crazy for years and years, like over 20, that Justin delays singing the opening lyrics. It always sounds like he's playing catch up. Still, a wonderful band, amazing singer and incredible songwriter.
this was the first moodies concert i ever went to and the sound was absouletly 1st class.the bbc could not have used the mastertape when put out for television.
@salocin671 I had a first gen copy of it and transferred it to cassette at the time. My guess is that this copy on youtube has suffered from being from an off air recording and converting from VHS.
@baldbollocks I think it was a poor recording... these guys are amazing perfomers. I mean you have to admit, these days will never see these kind of musicians again, EVER.
This guy can play 12-string acoustic or Fender 6-string equally well. A more accomplished rock guitarist has yet to show himself. I love the Moody Blues.
@KENZOWAL he's good & yes under-rated but get serious there are many other more "Accomplished" players, i won't even begin to name them, just go to nashville
you'd be amazed & you would not recognize any or most names except an exceptional few...
From a musician point of view. This tune is phenomenal. The ochestration, the chorus, guitar licks. Just has it all. Look at the keyborad guy and the drummer. There not showboating, that's what passion looks like.
Justin contact me please. I went to school with your sister, Maria. Your dad was my form teacher in King William Street School Before Nights in White Satain my mum, Grace, gave your old van petrol on your dad's accout lol from Bath Road Garage. You are the best band ever. My mum loved you and I love youe band. Take care Justin and thanks for your music
THE PERFECT LOVE SONG..THINK ABOUT IT...FOR YOU RENEE, EVEN THOUGH WE NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO MAKE IT THE WAY I HAD ENVISIONED HONEY, I MISS AND WILL ALWAYS WANT AND REMEMBER YOU AND HOW YOU GOT ME OUT OF MY LADY FUNK..I OWE YOU, I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU MY LIFE AND SHARE THE FUTURE TOGETHER..PEACE AND GOOD LUCK SWEETIE..YOU ARE THE BEST AND WHOEVER GETS YOU FOR LIFE IS THE LUCKIEST DUDE IN THIS WORLD..x0..pete...
they initially refused to donate money to the rock and roll hall of fame when it was founded, simply because they felt that one artists music should not be compared to any other.....unfortunately they've been black balled by the hall of fame and all rolling stone lists ever since.
thats not it at all, the reason they arent in is because they are progressive and the rock and roll hall of fame refuses to put progessive artists in, such as yes and ELP. Still messed up though.
@libssuc RIGHT! Deborah Harry is in, so is Flashmaster(?) They are forgetting that they are a "Rock n' Roll" hall of FAME. Chicago isn't in either, or Rare Earth WTF! They have lost all credibility the last several years, so who cares who they induct anymore. Moody Blues should have been inducted at least ten years ago. Terry Stewart in New York is the President. I think his email is stewart@rockhall.com. Everyone send him a demand that the Moody Blues finally get in!

@libssuc Sadly the R&R Hall of Fame overlooks progressive rock bands. The moodies are one of many bands that deserve the title. If I had to choose two to go into the Hall of Fame I would pick the Moodies and Badfinger.
i saw them live at madison square garden in 1978...wow, that was a long time ago! they finished up with 'ride my see saw'. great show, shitty accoustics though.
You are right about sound. Worse at the Houston Summit show that year UGH.
They had the world's worst road show until the new manager took over and kicked them in the butt and got them crankiing with some real showmanship. The next date I saw was at Garden State Performing Arts Center and wow Big entourage, dancer-singers, wowl
I was at this show! I was living near Earls Court attending college on a exchange program. Awesome show!! I still have my ticket stub~12.5 lbs. British Sterling. Man, does this bring back fond memories of better times and "Days of Futer Past" over 25 years ago...........
This a song about End of Times, he say's there's a chance that we can overcome the dark forces underpinning this life, but he seems certain that " The curtain is going to fall". Well see how it plays out. Great song.
Moodys My Dream....Moodys Stay Forever....I Wonder....Do The Moodys....Realize....That There Is Fire....Dancing....All Around The Stage....They....Are Part Of The....Fire....Everyday Phenomenon....For Legends....Moodys My Dream....Moodys Stay Forever.....
OH I LOVE classic rock, especially bands like the Moody Blues who have a symphany backing them up too!!! I cannot think of many who do that today!!! BOY, they were above their time too, even though I am younger than when they first started!!! AWESOME indeed!!!
Yeah, and maybe someday the idiots at the Rock N Roll Museum in Cleveland will invite The Moody Blues (and the Doobie Brothers). Until then, injustice prevails.
Yes, happy birthday John. Saw the Moodies on 7/22 and screamed Happy B'Day to him and I am SURE HE HEARD. HE IS STILL GOOD LOOKING. Again, where did you get all of the songs from the Wembley concert? Would love to know. Please please respond.
