Since this is supposedly the best beef there, I would not doubt it's like beef candy for the palate. Might be worth trying at least once, if you have it to spend.
Oh thank god Mc sells those yummy 1€ cheeseburgers. It was so funny when we had a LAN-happening and I went to buy some 30 of those burgers for my meights :P The girl behind the counter was like "Whuuut? 30? Are you sure?"
Look on the bright side its made out of real meat that actually comes out of the animal body its not that pink slime burgers we eat here in America in case you didn't know wonder why it was so cheap now you know :)
Thats about the same price for a burger at a propper restaurant in Norway. A McDonalds meal is half the price (85kr or ¥1000). So when I go to Japan, I can expect the same pricerange (or cheaper) :)
@Zeoone yeah its from serendipity 3 in NYC! they have the 1000$ golden opulence sundae with real eatable gold shavings on it, you have to order it 48 hours in advance. I went with my dad but we both just got the frozen hot chocolate for 8$ much more reasonable and uniquely delicious.
77 yen to a dollar,..so a 77 yen menu lol :P the would round to 80 for sure lol. Im shocked they didnt make it from kobe beef,..but then again in philly you can buy a 100$ usd philly steak with kobe beef!
Can you give us an insight as to why it's so expensive? Is that 25 US dollars? Given the current exchange rate, the Dollar is worthless yes, but is this expensive by Japanese standards, and is this a fast food place or a nice sit down restaurant? Sorry for all the questions.
@TheLivingDeadOne It's expensive due to the meat. Yes, it's still expensive by Japanese standards. It's hard to say, as it's a combination of both. In Japan, fast food places are not bad by any means. McDonalds is even nice! Try the shaka-shaka chicken.
@ArcticGTS Thanks for your comment but due to your YT page, I don't see as you know anything about the subject and my question was to TJCDcom. TJCD has replied to me before and I value his response and opinions. Thanks.
We have a burger place where i live that sells burgers for around 7 dollars, but they are huge. I can never finish one. Are those burgers really big or are they just average sized?
keion!!! what is the cost of a ounce of silver in japan in the states its about $32.33 im just curious because if something that is as simple as a burger is 25 commodities must be pretty expensive i would assume
I lived in Korea for a few months and Lotiria (dont know how to spell that) is all over the place there. I think its a Korean chain - they got department stores too.
There's a restaurant where I often go with my friends, where they served a 30$ burger made from Kobe beef. Never try it myself but one of my friend did. Is there a big difference between the kobe burger and the burger from this video in term of taste?
ah worst is it is Lotteria that place quality when it comes to burgers, at least in the companies home country South Korea, it was horrible. I would just order chicken related items. Burger meat tasted like fake meat. But price was a lot cheaper in Korea.
Scratch this one from the 'Affordable eating in Japan' playlist. LOL! Sorry you couldn't try it for us. 'Food and Eating in Japan' videos seem to be a favorite of yours.

The beef is expensive because of Japan's strict meat regulations. From what I heard those cows get pampered and that's what reflects the outrageous price of a simple burger.
I live in Japan and the thing is, they taste good, but they are few sizes smaller than what you might have imagined and costs more than what one might typically see in the US.
That seems very novel, and I like the idea. However, I'm poor and I don't eat much either. I can go an entire day on a 5 dollar pizza. Maybe some day a rich Japanese girl will fall in love with me and buy me $25 hamburgers. Cause, that's the only way I'll get to have one.
Why is a burger so expensive? Geez, go get some meat, cook it, chuck it in some bread with salad and stuff. There you have a $30 burger for $5 bux. Plus your actually full after eating it.
Fast food in the US is like 99 cents, because its made of ass and shit, not real beef. its FAST cooked....how can you cook good food FAST? you spend 2 dicks and 1 penny on it
Quick question mate, when you say Dollars.. Do you mean Australian Dollars or US Dollars? Because I get so confused when trying to convert it to the British Pound.
How can a burger be so expensive? Is it because they're hard to find in japan or something? Surely mcdonalds would be much better value for money even in japan?
@teutonicpenguin It's the quality of the beef. As he mentioned it was made from wagyu beef. Try looking for videos on how wagyu cows are bred and raised, and you'll find out why they cost so much.
