take some scotch tape, rip it in half length wise and put a few strips in the grooves on either side of the center ridge on the mount.. cuts down ALOT of the shaking

@Limbargo95 Depends on your age, and the size of the bike I started out on a yamaha 250 dual sport and it ended up costing me 1200 a year even with an A average, Insurance people are evil with the age thing, my dad rides a BMW F1200GS and a Goldwing but he gets both covered for only 350 a year. I started at 17 years old, I'm 20 now and ride a F800GS, and its still 1200. so it does go down with age but honestly if you want to get cheap insurance, wait until your at least 30 haha

@CodyThatGhost I'm 5'11" and weigh 135 and I got a 600. It's a good bike to learn on and you will grow into it as well. Just take it easy until you get a real good feel for it. That'll prevent you from having to sell the 250 after only a year or two of having it. The 250 is almost to small in my opinion. It's like a moped. Skinny wheels and VERY slow.

I have a scorpion exo 400. Not a bad helmet just a bit to big. They are a bit noisy for sure. Have an Z1R helmet that fits better but still pretty noisy. I really wanted the EXO 500 with the secondary tinted visor but what can ya do? Have my eye on an HJC in brown with white tribal decals. Not a big fan of the tribal but it seems to fit really nicely and not a bad price. Decent video too. Lock that camera down and it'll be even better. be safe and have fun.

@StreetFighterCalum rider's weight will have a bigger effect than wind or fairings. Fairings will only help out with speeds up to over 120mph, something a 250cc wont be seeing anytime soon. And wind will make a bigger difference in a 250 since they weigh less than most 600cc's or liter bikes.
