  • too many knobs, and too expensive. beat me up all you want, but i still say Boss had the right idea, simple and cheap for the working musician!

  • @userboy6 An incredible number of working musicians use complicated pedals, and not just Zvexs. Nothing wrong with Boss - classic and bulletproof - but "too expensive"?? "Too many knobs"?? Eh... X-D

  • @bloodySunday77 then they must be completely unavailable where i live, cause i go see bands all the time and not once have i seen a Z-vec pedal on stage and yes i am that guy who's checking out the equipment and talking to the band between sets

  • @userboy6 No, I am afraid they are available everywhere (in stores and also on the web), and I've seen an incredible number of bands use them (famous ones included). You must have been living under a rock for the past 5-6 years...

  • Can someone get the tabs of the guitarist solo for Johnny Octave and Fuzz factory please!?!?

  • All these pedals are becoming obsolete. Nowadays it's sufficient to get something like a line6 ux1 to get the sound into a computer, and a simple software (theres a whole bunch or free ones) can literally emulate EVERY pedal you could ever think of. Then ur working with a computer rather than with a whole bunch of pedals.

  • @Voiderify Sorry, this is not happening at all. You don't really have a grasp of what's really happening in the guitar world if you say that.

  • @Voiderify that is such a twatty comment that Im not even going to argue with you

  • @Voiderify You are WRONG, in that case, you also dont need a guitar, you can use any kind of guitar simulator, even guitar pro, but this is not the case. True analog (linear response) never will be like the digital signals at 100%. you can get close, but is not the same (and you dont be cool guitar player) ask Slash, Steve Vai and others.

  • @kdmxl007 well, that's not true either. Digital is already so good that it's everywhere, from stompboxes to guitar recording software to high tech all-in-one solutions such as the Axe Fx. You obviously haven't read the famous blind hearing tests that famous producers went through that they asked them to tell which is which... and they failed.

  • fuck sake, i want all of them, but cant afford one of them.

  • zack sounds a little like seth macfarlane

  • check a listen to this..

  • Those effects are sweet coz they are tiny!

  • It 's Mr. Vex!!!

  • Z VEX pedals they dont even cost $20 to make them and he charges $300 that's a rip off

  • @EmA369 If I got a dime everytime I heard this BS, Bill Gates would ask me to buy him drinks.

  • @bloodySunday77 Dude I made a clone of the Fuzz Factory and the whole thing cost me about $17. So maybe with all the dimes you get you can buy a "Z Vex" pedal at full price

  • @EmA369 No, it didn't. And you missed the point completely. It's not just the sum of its parts. Nothing is. There is the concept behind it (getting the idea out of your bloody brain), the ACTUAL cost of the components (yes, that includes box, 3pdt switch, led etc and not just a breadboard with a hackjob), paying people to do it, and getting a PROFIT out of it before it hits the stores and its price -naturally - goes up. How old are you and what kind of job do you do? Welcome to the real world.

  • @bloodySunday77 well I'm 23. I work as a electronics tech. for NAMCO and I'm doing my Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering.

  • @EmA369 Well, it's an even greater shame because I thought a kid was saying these... and it is not. Furthermore, you need to brush up on your marketing skills, because under these views you won't get far... especially as a designer and owner of a guitar pedals company. And please be kind enough to remind me to clone what you will produce.

  • @bloodySunday77 Don't worry; if I make a pedal, It will be affordable, so if you clone it and even mod it, I will be happy see what you can come up with. Hey you can even call it the bloody Sunday mod.

  • @EmA369 You would have to decide whether you would make pedals for a profit or as a hobby. Believe me, it's very different. You will realize it very soon if you get into it. And no matter if a pedal is cheap or expensive, it is still morally wrong to clone it and sell it for profit. And not just pedals...

  • @EmA369 These es true, its easy to clone one, but, is not the same to make your own (not cloned) guitar FX, in that case, its like to say, "OMFG Windows 7 is to expensive (around 200-300 dlls) i can get this from thepiratebay", or "I dont will expend 40 dlls in a book, i prefer to download it (steal) from 4share" dont be an ass in this 300 dlls its included the hand work, and the I&R...

  • too expensive and unpractical.

this is 21st century, so we can use guitarRig or AmpliTube

  • @3DeadMenAndHorse Which planet did you come from? Different needs, different gear.

  • The Fuzz Factory Is Now One Of My Favorite Pedals. Makes The Guitar Sound 8-Bit.

  • Chuck Taylors: the classic shoe of rock.

  • @nobberz62 I would say just punk... Rock is too big to have common footwear!

  • @bloodySunday77 That's a good point, dude haha :D.

  • @nobberz62 :-D I was probably thinking of Ramones... I think Sid Vicious was a huge fan as well.

  • love me a fuzz factory and ooh wah 2...love that analog sound real grit sounding, I would buy them as soon as the money is there, hand crafted guitar machinery. I love being able to drop the sound off with the instability "stab" knob

  • how much are z vex pedals?

  • @kidfromschool1 Try your local shops or the big internet ones...

  • @kidfromschool1 they are pretty expensive. they on average run about 200 bucks if i'm correct. i don't have any, cause off the price. :/

  • sound like shit srry

  • @hirofire1994 Try them yourself with a decent guitar and a loud clean tube amp, and don't be sorry about your opinion, as long as it is based on facts.

  • I must have the Fuzz factory and the machine!!!!

  • I need a fuzz probe, but poor kid like me cant get expensive pedals :(

  • 0-0 super hard-on?????

  • i want all of em

  • This guy has THE voice. Like the sports announcer voice, or even the movie trailer voice. It's like a main part why the previews of his pedals are so good. He should like rap or something i'd totally listen to it

  • fuuuck so good, but i bet these pedals cost a limb for each one

  • i have the vexter fuzz factory..just use it now for 1 week..sound really awesome

  • i must have the fuzz and the johnny octave

  • Yeah those 2 really sounded sick.

  • We'd better take them to the doctor! X-D

  • What patch cables are these? The ones with the thin flat heads on em?

  • fuzz pedals sound awesome

  • I've tried a bunch of distortion pedals and I like my ZVex Super Hard on so much that I bought a back up just in case something happens to the other one some day. The cool paint jobs are just a bonus.

  • "it has two super hard ons" 6:20

  • @nubbinyall38 not just 2 super hard ons, "2 super hard ons *in it*"

  • are z vex pedals really worth the price.

  • Form your own opinion.

  • there super cute!!!

  • the junky is just the thing i need

  • im not sure if i like the "random mode" ):

  • probes r great

  • just bought the box of rock, its my main distortion box now! Marshall on 10!

  • fuzz factory is too expensive 4 me

  • what wud happen if you turn them all on at once?

  • good question what would happen WHATT!!

  • Your ears would bleed??

  • the universe will spawn an endless amount of awesome explosions!

  • @jinyigga three words LSD and EAR ORGASM! XD

  • @jinyigga You Would Probably Blow Your Head Off. xD

  • @jinyigga 2012... lol

  • @jinyigga LOL jajaj MEGA LIKE!

  • @jinyigga it creates life.

  • @jinyigga i was at a guitar shop and this guy got pissed off at me cs i was on the pedals and i put on acoustic sim, overdrive, delay, phaser and an octaver

    it diddnt sound too great

  • @00ASSASSINATION i rememember doing the same thing with 4 delays. 2 distortians. an overdrive. a flanger. 3 tremelos. a fixed wah. a phaser. and a loop station

  • @jinyigga your face would explode

  • @jinyigga it statics up

  • I don't think I saw it here, but what is the pedal or thing they use to record something you play on the guitar and you can repeat it through your amplifier. It's really cool, and you can record a bunch of layers. Anyone know what it is called?

  • There are lots of pedals that can do that, and they are called "loopers". Boss has two or three of them, and there is also the Digitech Jamman. But you are probably referring to the ZVex Lo Fi Loop Junky. Google it... it has a different, lo fi sound quality, and it can't do as much as the others, but it certainly has character...

  • I think ur talking about a loop pedal..

  • Comment removed

  • Is there a whammy probe?

Or is the wah probe the same sorta deal?

  • A wah probe would be different from a whammy probe, even if a ZVex whammy probe existed. Remember what each of those effects sounds like and you'll get the picture...

  • Lol at the Ringtone. I want one xD

  • These are THE Indie pedals, without them we wouldn't have some of the genius work of Greg Camp...

  • It's so cool he could help put MPLS back on the map, the cradle of Alternative Rock needs some snazzy pedals to rock it...

  • What is the MPLS?

  • those pedals that sense where your foot is are sooooooooo coooooool and innovative!!!

  • i can still your Minnesotan accent dere Zak, greetings from the Twin Cities

  • I'm loving the theremin plates on the wah pedal - brilliant

  • hang on a mo...couldn't the 2nd one do map of the problematique by muse? guys, problem solve-oh..shit..it's sequencers they use.

  • Actualy no , they use a 16 step sequencer driving two digitech whammy , one on +1 octave and the other on -1 octave and sequence between the two whammys.

  • Afraid not! matt uses a rig (live at least) worth £20,000 that was used to make that . I read about it in an interview with him

  • love the probe pedals on 5:13!!!

  • Where can you buy these pedals?

  • It depends on where you live. They are easy to find.

  • proguitarshop

    tonefactor

some are sold on musiciansfriend even

  • hell, even guitarcenter sells em online.

  • they even sell them in select Guitar Center store fronts... i walked out of a guitar center with one ... and was sporting an epic erection all the way home.

  • They kinda have a tacky look to them.

    Sound decent though.

That theremin one was awesome though.

  • that's because they're hand painted!

  • beggining sounds like the map of the problematique effect :P

  • thats some pedalage mr. vex. that ringtone one is too fucking cool. right up there with metasonix and jomox pedals.

  • i would buy some of these but they are to fucking expencive lol but they are fucking awesome

  • alla pedals are great!!!

  • THE FUZZ PEDAL IS SO COOL!!!!

  • Yeah it gets a great old school synth sound or like basic video game.

  • His name is Tommy, call him that if you ever see him or in an email, he'll lose it.

  • Lol, why?

  • did u?

  • i love my fuzz factory <3 - so much fun

    zachary vexx is my hero

  • His name is not actually Zack Vex... I think I know it...

  • wat is it then?

  • Well, forget I ever said (wrote) anything!!!! There is a bit of secrecy around it, but it's just a name... I mean, he is not Elvis or something...

  • "Z. Vex Effects is a boutique effects pedal company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their name derives from the name of founder Zachary Vex."

^^Taken from wikipedia.. Unless they are part of the cover up xD

  • "haha i cant teck anymore last show of the day" :D the seeks r awesome

  • Is there one for Enter Sandman I can buy?

  • ??!?!

  • Will it make the right distortion for Enter Sandman?

  • No. The Box of Rock might, or possibly the Box of Metal, but you really need a Mesa Boogie for that sound, or a pedal that can give you that flavour like the Sans Amp GT2.

  • you 100% do not need a Mesa Boogie just to get the sound of enter sandman....

  • It's true you don't only need a Boogie for that, there are some similar distortions out there, and besides guitar sounds are heavily edited in mixing and production anyway. However, there never was and never will be any pedal that can be a "band sound in a box".

  • lol. I think he loves enter sandman :P

  • the fuzz factory picks up radio signals occasionally

i've had russian radio come out of my amp in the middle of rehearsal

  • ... as most fuzzes and wahs in general...

  • Loving the fuzz + octave

  • the jhonny octave on two octaves sounds something from the mars volta and the fuzz factory too.

  • Bill Gates couldn't even afford one of those

  • finally someone else who agrees

  • This guy sounds like Microsoft Sam.

  • You're amazing!!!!!!!! LoL!!!

  • they didnt have box of metal

  • Old video.

  • i loved the first one its like its saying my balls my balls my balls my balls

  • holy shit the probes are amazing!

  • I LOVE his pedals :DD Too bad i cant get them here in malaysia :(((

  • You can order them from the internet...

  • how much did the fuzz one cost

  • beautifull pedals. looked at the store prices and lets just say theyre over the top!

  • he has a great voice. he sounds like what the creator of zvex effects should sound! :D

  • god these are the best most creative pedals

  • great variety, true by pass. respect the overall tone. i guess that once you realice that you want to get a new sound and your own voice you must give it a try to new and different products, quality is a must in guitar tone, and this gear has it a lot.

  • man that would make a sick industial metal effects chain.

  • i think this is the first time the demo'er knows a shit load about the pedals but doesnt read the entire manual to you. hes a straightshooter

    tremerama and ringtone OMG

  • He made the pedals. I'd expect him to know about them.

  • not a huge fan of the tremelo

  • i want some of that

  • i want all of thos guitar pedals :P

  • they actually have a t-shirt that has a picture of all the pedals and it says "collect them all!"

  • every pedal ever made?

  • lol i think he meant the zvex ones

  • These are the sort of effects i'm looking for. I'm not much of a distortion fan.

  • He has distortions... the Box of Rock, the Box of Metal... the Fuzz Factory, while not distortion, is pretty mean too...

  • I should say VERY mean...!

  • Who Is this "Erik" XD

  • If they were starring in the 60's series, ZVex would be Batman and Erik would be Robin. :-D

  • Super Hard On....lol

  • were can i go to get one of thoses wha wha things :P sounds sweet

  • I hate whammmy pedals you can't control

  • this guy sounds like brian from family guy

  • Why?

  • both zachary vex and eric are wel cool!

  • Absolute Genius .. i Want The Fuzzzzzzzz

  • Those were oool, it would be funny if they stringed em all

  • tiny little head !! awwsome.. xD

  • Man, those are really cool.

  • i like that octave pedal :)

  • i honestly dont see how you cant like these. i got turned on to ZVex by Trent Reznor (not personally of course) anyways, the johnny octave is probably the best octave pedal ive ever heard. hopefully getting the fuzz factory soon just like trent. but to whourdaddy's credit most of these arent practical like the wahs, the tremelo and the probes and the ringtone are just rediculous but are still far from trash and are probably some of the best built pedals in the world

  • I like all you guys. sept the narrow minded poor spelling one. nice pedals. really. the fuzz probe is likely my favourite.

  • whatever you say ... your the man , you got it all figured out . LOL its a free country brother. all entitled to there own opinion.

  • Like you, as I said earlier... but apart from that, a visit to Basic Spelling 101 would come in handy (even at the difficult age of... 41).

  • Depending on your country, yes, however this is the internet. Feel free to troll around and pose as "LOL ASL? M/41/IOWA HERE." The pedals are merely a work of art through electronics and sound manipulation. To call it 'shit' is merely a low thought input into the use and manipulation these pedals have. Perfect range of pedals to try and find "that sound" you're looking for.

  • no country is free

  • I think everyone got the point that, you don't like their pedals. cool man, awesome. i doubt too many people care...so why spend your time trashing this man's video? why don't you go and make the worlds greatest pedals yourself, since you know what sounds good, and what doesn't.

  • LOL i am 41 yrs old , been playing for more than 22 yrs. have had almost every pedal under the sun . tried BOUT 5 of Zeeshit pedals . bottom line they are useless junk. !

  • Yes, "anyone who buys them is truly a fool", like the thousands of players (famous and not) who swear by them. (I am not one of those, btw.)

Yes, you've had almost every pedal under the sun, that's why you are kind and clever enough to be able to appreciate different and innovative designs when you bother to see further than your nose.

And yes, you are truly 41 years old, even though your channel suggests you are only 12, as I said earlier.

  • z vex pedals are the worst in the market , anyone buys them and pay that much money is truly a fool when you can find pedals that sound way better for less than half the price.

  • "Worst in the market"? Worse than Chinese no-names, Behringers, Artecs, Onerrs, Arions and Digitechs, then... You are entitled to your own opinion, but then I am also entitled to say that everybody can tell it's pure trash.

How old are you, by the way? 12? Have you
