Not everyone that works at the county shelters is a bad guy. Some of US employees love animals and have our own pets. I, personally, go to work with a desire to help animals and keep them as comfortable as I can while I am caring for them. Please do not accuse us all of abuse.

maybe instead of taking the responsibility and blame for these animals, instead of rounding them up, agencies should just off the animals on the streets because after all it is the pet owner's responsiblity, not the governements. Even if a loose mutt is not posing a threat, alot of people are afraid of them.

They, us forgot about Zephyr. Ignored him to long and died of mistreatment. Stopped eating and had no one to play or socialize with. The family dumped him off because they no longer wanted him. He was all used up in their minds.

I've seen the story of Zephyr. So So sad. I just wanted to say that I hope La gets their pants sued off. Nathan Winograd is a true animal champion. He offers resolutions to what some think are problems with keeping animals alive. Everyone should read his book, Revolution. Thanks for posting this.
