  • Best Heavy Metal band of all time ^^ :D

  • @hairmonster12 idk about Ron, but Dave was. ofcourse he didn't wanna be a part of it but James wanted him to be there.

  • i wonder if they invited Dave Mustaine and Ron McGovney...

  • Why isnt Dave Mustain part of it?

  • @JasperJasperNL Ron Mcgovney should be too.

  • @JasperJasperNL because he has his own band

  • @JasperJasperNL Dave and Ron were only on demos.. they weren't on any of the albums

  • @psychopsilocybin1983 he could have been there becuase he was on a demo

  • @45thundertrain If that's the case then Lloyd Grant should have been there too.. He played guitar on the original demo of Hit The Lights that was released on Metal Massacre 1.. James did the vocals and I believe he may have played bass.. Ron is listed as being in the band but I don't think he was at the time they recorded it.

  • @psychopsilocybin1983 Ron wasn't invited because you're right about him, but Dave was on Kill'em All.

  • @Revelation1992 Dave Mustaine does not appear on kill em all.. all the rythm guitar tracks were played by james and kirk recorded the solos.

  • @psychopsilocybin1983 Wrong, he appears on about half, doing vocals and guitar Also, he wrote about half the riffs you hear too. You need to do your homework kid.

  • @Revelation1992 Actually you're wrong.. Dave appears nowhere on Kill Em All.. Dave was fired in April of 1983. Kill Em All was recorded in May of 1983.. he does however receive 4 co-writing credits on the record.. And he has 2 more credits on Ride The Lightning as well... anything you've listened to that has Dave on it is either a demo or a bootleg.. it would appear that you are the one that needs to do some homework.

  • @psychopsilocybin1983 And heres where its funny.. You think its possible to record an entire album in a month. Oh yes they did finish it in May, but they used a lot of old material from the demos to do so. So ha! I've done my homework mofo'. :P

  • @Revelation1992 Dude you're retarded. Never said it was recorded in a month. Though i know that it's more than possible. May was when recording started. Don't know whether it was completed in May, but that is irrelevant to the argument. What I do know is that everything that you hear on that record was recorded in May of 1983 or later. No audio tracks from the demos, vocals or guitar, were used. If so Dave would be credited. I've never even heard Dave himself claim that he appears on the record.

  • @psychopsilocybin1983 Nooo... You are retarded and annoying. You need to listen to Kill'em All again. There is a difference between their voices, although it's hard to hear. Or it was back in those days anyways. I'll bet you don't even own Kill'em All. -_-"

  • @Revelation1992 Well if you are content to sit there in your wrongness and be wrong that's your prerogative. How about you point me to some proof instead of telling me about this phantom "difference between their voices" that is as you put it "hard to hear".. in the end everything you've said is contradicted by reality.. I can find plenty online that supports me but oddly nothing that supports your ridiculous assertions.

  • @Revelation1992 it's entirely possible to record an album in a month.

  • @downandouts Fact: Dave was invited, but passed because he was on tour with his own band. I would imagine he wants his own band in the Hall Of Fame.

  • I like how James was saying that every one that had participated in Metallica should be recognized, and yet even the reporters said nothing about Dave. That just shows how badly he's been blackened in their minds : )

  • @Gswordmaster1 james said everyone who ever played on the albums would be recognized, would be part of the induction. sadly, that excludes dave, because he never played on any record. cliff obviously wrote and played on three albums and had songs on ....justice, and jason was in the band for 14 years. the least worthy of being an inductee is rob trujillio.

  • @loknloll I agree with everything you have said! Rob was the least worthy. But he will surpass Jason. He is well on his way with already more songs written than Jason.

  • plus on top of that every album after justice sucked ass!

  • look a metalhead wearing a scarf. lets give credit to the band who sold their souls for money. this band pissed on all of their fans because remember the whole napster incident. look folks back before cd's were around people like me were making mixed tapes and giving it to our friends. what i'm trying to say is that when they made that cow shit black album they got corrupted by money and big corporation that they no longer were playing for fans, but instead playing for money.

  • something to reckon with indeed!

  • isnt it a little early for them to be inducted.......?

  • Cliff would have vomited

  • @joeylodes cliff who is cliff?? hahah

  • Yeah, Cliff didn't believe in selling out..... but fuck Lars, you did.

I think Cliff would not like what Metallica has become!!!!

They only got rid of Jason cos he was too good for them. Jason rocks

  • @deano888888 some people thought that metallica sold out with the release of Master of Puppets. Cliff responded to those people by saying "whatever, fuck them". Metallica puts out what ever music they want. So there is no fact in your statement.

  • 1:17 Cliff was that.. and check out what the band is. A sellout to all their original fans, NOT playing the music they should be. Fuck Metallica.

  • @11DNA11 please do everyone a favor and crawl under a rock somewhere

  • @Greenburg Why should i, because that's the truth. Just those "Can't see past the logo" fans are the ones still defending this piece of shit.

  • @11DNA11 no its not the truth. who the fuck are you to say what music these guys should be making. cliff had the exact attitude of "we're gunna do what we wanna do, and if people see that as selling out then whatever" and it translated to where the band is now. they made the music they wanted to make and it wasn't selling out, because last time i checked 10 minute blues jams (the outlaw torn) arent topping the pop charts

  • @Greenburg Who the fuck are YOU to judge me for having my fucking own opinion? Go and fuck yourself, fuckin poser.

  • @11DNA11 yup im totally a poser, god forbid someone have a different from you you fuckin hypocrite

  • @Greenburg You're also probably the next spelling champion too. Because i don't know what the hell you were even trying to comment.

  • Dude, huh...

    VOLUME PLEASE?????

  • 1:20 .... bullshit

  • i wonder if ron and lloyd were there

  • @Rocker095150 lloyd? And : Ron, and Dave didn't go.

  • if james didnt go to rehab and changed i dont think he would of cared or even asked jason to play at that gig

  • Dave deserves his notice, but he didnt play on any of the albums thats what the Hall Of Fame rules are, if he did, they would have mentioned him.

  • Dave mustaine did just help with some songs from kill em all, we wasnt a big part for me!

  • @kuhflade80 he create the solos of thrash metal and believe me that's a big part xd

  • tell that fagget what up

  • For you maybe but he really fucking helped Metallica. Else they would have been another wannabe new wave of british metal band

  • and dave??

    okay he's an asshole

but he was a big part of metallica

  • 0:27... only people who have played on albums =) dave was off when kill 'em all came out... kirk played the songs...

  • Dave Mustain also playd on metallica

  • damn right Metallica sold out.....every single show for the last 25 years!

  • @krazydrummer Haha Didn't Lars post that on his twitter and said it was Kirks joke or something :P

  • I think so. I dont know where I heard it. Its a pretty common saying about Metallica on the fan club chats

  • @krazydrummer Haha Oh i just remember it on Lars Twitter:P :)

  • @krazydrummer: Dude everybody sells out, it comes with the name of "Musician" so really they are just goign therough their career

  • @krazydrummer 30 years. O.o

  • i thought james didnt like the song dont thead on me.

  • *tread

  • Weeeeeeell, most "older" bands have to sell out to survive. As simpel as that.. It kinda' goes with the grain you know.

  • Poor Cliff. when he died years later they would do what he didnt not want. SELL OUT.

  • There going to do something new after 30 years! They are going to try new stuff! They tried and they failed! There still going to do something new aswell as original! Keep faith of them and stop bitching about them!

  • they invited dave and he turned the offer down.

  • 0:20-0:30 enrages me. I've lost all respect for Metallica for not including Dave as part of what made them successful. Maybe the reporter should have mentioned that they stole Dave's shit and that without Dave there would be no thrash metal. Just my 2 cents, I'm not going to participate in a metallica vs. megadeth flame war.

  • Mustaine was inducted too, but he refused it...

The list of the name was James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo, Jason Newsted, Cliff Burton and Dave Mustaine. Even Newsted said yes, but Mustaine refused it. Ron McGovney or Brad Parker could be on the list too, but they were not invited, but Mustaine was.

  • Brad Parker? is he Lloyd Grant?

  • Mustaine didn't refuse to attend, he was on tour so he couldn't attend.

  • yeah mustiaine was part o metallica and a big part

at least he should say his name

    but whatever

    metallica deserves it

one of the great metal bands ever

and every bands has their mistakes (load, reload)

  • Well Mustaine was asked to come, but answered no

  • Where Is Mustaine??

    he wrote ride the lightning!!!

Well Metallica proves that they were, are and will be a sellfish group!

  • they didnt include ron mcgovney either. and he played on Kill 'Em All and the demo. the demo was their first album. i think it was No Life Till Leather if im correct.

  • dude, to be inducted, u have to have ur first album 25 years from then, like ride the lighting was made in like '84? thats not 25 years -.- it has to be atleast 25 years ass head

  • They gave him writing credits but he did not record on Kill 'Em All and onward. He does get writing credits for some songs on Kill, Ride, and Master... But he did NOT play on Kill, Ride, Master or onward, thats what James just said, whoever have been on Kill onward. Just get that through your thick skull.

  • he was invited! He didnt come because he was busy touring in europe you dog shit etherfalls

  • lol james looks like he just got out of bed

  • wow im going 2 pretend i dident read that u douche

  • Dude, how can you ever see by clothes if someone if gay[well, except when a guy wears a thong XD]

I mean, wearing a scarf is gay?

  • sorry if I insulted you, it's just that you somehow feel the person is showing a not so "macho" side of him...well...hard to explain :(

  • You didn't insult me,you insulted men wearing scarf's XD

But i know how you feel.

  • Dave should not be inducted WITH metallica

like, if he were to get inducted, it shouldnt be with a band he was with for not too long of a time

  • But he wrote quite some of metallica's tribute..

  • James said that anyone that was on the albums was going to be inducted, and although dave only got credit for about 6 songs, from ride and kill em all together, he still should have been inducted. my opinion. and also, of coarse dave hates kirk. kirk took his job!!

  • Why did Rob get inducted? He didn't do shit to deserve it. I like him as a bass player, but still.

  • He helped produce the album that what many people think "Saved metallica". In a way it did. Their last 3 albums sucked. Their last 4 albums weren't even thrash. DM is getting back to metal roots. Lots of double bass beats and snare on the drums and kick ass bass lines so of course he deserves it. And James just said, "Everyone who has been a part of Metallica deserves recognition for their contribution." Dumbass

  • well the first album he has done with metallica went number 1 so i guess that counts for something

  • death magshit is the best heavy metal album of the 00's for your information

  • youre telling me to learn? the best reviewers say DM is the comeback to the 80's heavy metal, but a step foward from that... although i think mastodom's blood mountain is a GREAT album, i couldnt agree more that DM is the best of the 00's, nothing related to the Black Album or Load's mainstream songs

  • From Kill em' all to Black album are great, then all are shit!!!

  • black album is far superior to death magnetic

  • @Rocker095150 i kinda feel that album shows that metal doesnt always have to be insanely fast and complicated, its more about what sounds good

  • @HighLifetage never in your dreams!

  • @HighLifetage - Death Magnetic best album of the last decade?! No way! Yeah it is good and for a new Metallica album, excellent. But It isn't the best metal album of the last ten years.

  • @HighLifetage

it's good i agree, but Endgame is better ;)

  • @supperunknown death magnetic is a good improvement and endgame is great but best heavy metal almbum of the year? idk about that.. i gues that would be up to personal preference because album sales isnt everything when it comes to metal. metallica is such a big name that they will sell alot no matter how their album sounds.. i think death magnetic is an improvemnt i will say that though. i look forward to see what they do in the future.. i hope they go full out thrash again but i doubt they will

  • @joshp6585

Metallica can do better then Death Magnetic, all they had to do is to get rid of Bob rock (what took forever) and i hope that they are gonna get better from here :)

for me Endgame is waaaay better then DM and it maybe isn't the best heavy metal album of the year, but DM isn't even in my top 100 of best albums of the decade

  • @HighLifetage lol

  • @HighLifetage i liked endgame better

  • We all Know Metallica Respects Megadeth and Dave, But Megadeth Respects Metallica and Dave Hates Kirk

  • and lars!

  • Lars what?

  • include dave

  • I love Cliff. I love Jason and I love the monster bass of Trujillo! Fuck man! Think of the different bass-players as influences, not positive or negative but just influences. Cliff had his influence and Jason & Trujillo had theirs. No point in bitchin bout who is "best". :)

  • Trujillo will never be better than jason!

  • Glad they didnt induct Dave "Pussy" Mustaine! Megadeth Sucks! and Kirk is Better than Dave

  • I too prefer Kirk to Dave but I think they should have given Dave a nod at least for contributing to some kick ass songs of theirs

  • fuck you retard..are you telling me that one of the most influential Metal band suck..what can i expect from a kid who listen to Shitknot!!..within 5 years Megadeth too are going to be inducted and no one can argue it..i dont really like to talk about Megadeth in a Metallica video but you made me do that

  • We all know Kirk is Better than Dave, and that Metallica is better than Megadeth! And i dont mind if they induct megadeth (thats not going to happen) They inducted Madonna and Run DMC that have nothing to do about rock! So i dont mind if they induct megadeth

  • your right about one thing atlast.if that so called hall of fame had anything to do with rock i would say there should be other bands like Iron Maiden,Motorhead or Judas priest there.and if u have ever touched a guitar u wont say dave sucks..or i dont think James and Lars wont even hire him..the thing is they are 2 very different guitarists..wat would a slipknot fan know about guitars or tharsh metal..

  • From Megadeth i like High Speed Dirt, Skin o' my teeth, Holy Wars and Hangar 18. The Rest like Symphony of Destruction and etc i don't like them! i respect them but i think Metallica is better and Kirk is Better!

  • and i respect your opinion..why dont you listen to songs like Angry Again,Trust,scorpion..they are very Metallica type songs..this Metallica and Megadeth wars are mostly because most of the guys dont understand what both the bands have done for Metal

  • I think Mustaine should've been inducted too, i mean, he wrote quite some of their breack trough album..

  • who is that guy beside rob's left?

  • thats Metallica's new bass player Rob Trujillo as of 2003

  • I think megadeth should be inducted to the hall of fame to

  • lars dresses like a tard

  • there all amazing

  • Mustaine never plays on a Metallica album...he does participate in few of the Kill em all & Ride the lightning songs....NOTHING ON PUPPETS.

  • This is a metallica video and it is abot Cliff NOT Dave! Stop talking about Mustaine you fucking Megafags!

  • FUCK YOU!!!!

  • Lars is wearing a scarf. That's heaps metal....LOL what a fag.

  • So what! Let the man wear a fucking scarf. Just cause your a Metal Legend, Dont mean you gotta be a hardass all your life.

  • Recognizing the success brought on by the Black Album, Metallica decides to sellout. Lars, you are such a fuck head, but you are such a damn good drummer that it makes up for it. And indeed, Metallica started with Lars and James, not to mention they helped write just about EVERY SONG. Kirk is a kickass guitarist, Robert is nowhere near as good as Jason (poor Jason, he got hazed far too brutally) and Dave Mustaine is a complete and utter asshole but a respectable musician. As for McGoveny...who?

  • Lars is way more of an asshole than Dave. Dave is cocky, but he´s an adorable bastard and one hell of a composer. Lars, on the other hand, is both cocky and hell AND always talking shit about Dave

  • WORD UP

  • I can understand why some ppl would say what the meatball below me said but lets face it, when you strip it all down.. Lars and James are the roots of Metallica. As a long time fan I know what Kirk means to Metallica, we all know that hes been with Metallica from pretty much the beginning, but cmon this band is James and Lars' band.

  • Two people will never be a real metal band........credit where credit is due. If James even tryed to come up with the awsome stuff that is every solo delivered by Kirk, he would go running to his therapist or a line of cocaine!!!

  • Its funny how after all this years James and Lars take the spotlight and Kirk is still in the fuking corner.

  • yah and kirks the most fucking awsome bad-ass guitarist ever

  • kirk doesnt have alot of credits on songs and pretty much does wat they tell him to do

  • Haha , did u hear that? Metallica not selling out, i think cliff would rise from his grave if he saw what Lars said. Plus ,what happens to all the riffs composed by Dave?, i mean Ride The Lightning was Dave's idea, and i dunno about u but it sounds like a very good song to me.

  • Comment removed

  • hahahahHAHAHA Lars talking about not selling out. Man if THAT isnt the biggest oxymoron, I dont know what is. I still love Metallica though!

  • at 1:22 lars says that cliff belived in not selling out

come on lars is one of the biggest sellouts but no affendive im a hughe metallica fan

  • explain to me how did he sell out

  • Define selling out?

you dont see Lars plugging Colgate toothpaste or Mach 3 razors in his interveiws...he doesnt like to be seen in the public eye often.

  • even if hes a sellout hes one hell of a drummer

  • Comment removed

  • Anything's better than "The MetalliMullet"

  • METALLICA RULES(before load)

But they getting slower and bluesy after black album.

  • I disagree, with Death Magnetic they returned some speed... but hey, they're turning pretty old so it's not that weird...

  • Change can be good.

  • DAMN!! KIRK IS AWESOME

  • Ron McGoveny got screwed. =(

  • chinga tu madre wey!! metallica hasta la muerte!!

  • You're not making any sense. Where in my previous comment did I state that Metallica was the soul creator of metal? I never stated that, nor am I undermining any of the success that certain bands have had on metal. What I am saying is, if I don't like a certain band, I'm a homosexual? Based on your comment that said, "If you fucks can't listen to Megadeth you're fags." Surly we're all permitted to our own preferences in the music industry. Its apples and oranges, each band has a unique sound.

  • So If I decide not to listen to a certain band, I'm regarded as a Homosexual? Wow, the logic in that..

  • all ive got to say regardless of what has happened with jason and dave and cliff metallica kicks ass ther music is fuckin great

  • dave-dick

    kirk-legend

  • dave-god

    kirk-lawlaw

  • Dave would have felt like an insult just invited to see them play on stage. That they sent invitation to Dave and Dave declined was a wise decison for both parties.

  • He declined because he was touring, that was a way better decisions because of was touring with Judas Priest.

  • jajaja what a lie !!

mustaine said that on his web site in "IRONIC MODE"..

or you believe that dave prays for james and lars's family, just like he (dave) said in the same post ??

that was an ironic comment in megadeth web site posted by dave mustaine....

    asike xupalo... conchetumare xD

  • No I believe it because he was on a European tour, with Testament and Priest...

and who cares if he prays for them or not..

  • the pray of mustaine is a ironic mode of say "fuck u all"...

and the invitation to the hall of fame is not a week early..

    is months early...

then mustaine could cancel the tour and assist to the hall of fame, but the mother fuckers of Metallica didin't invite him...

  • Mustaine wasn't on any of Metallica's albums, nutsack.

  • what ?

is this the international day of talk shit ??

    nutsack you...

and read more about metallica and dave mustaine ^^

  • Man man man! Oh my god! A Hardcore Megadethfan. Music is a matter of taste. But lying ... that's something else entirely!

Dave mustaine isnt to hear on any metallica album! Its all Kirk! Thats pain in your ears right? Dont tell bullshit! The same thing would say mustaine self to you! What's all this good for? You feel better when mustaine had record songs with Metallica? Hear Megadeth... and you hear mustaine. But if you hear Metallica.. you will dont hear a mustaine!

  • kill em and 2 mumbers of ride....what a dum ass you are

  • Actually, I think some of the early releases BEFORE Kill Em All may have had Mustaine on them. Regardless, he WROTE a FUCKload of their music back in the day, his stuff was used all the way thru Puppets...

  • He himself admits to only doing like 5-6 songs tops... Dont get me wrong, Megadeth ROX! But, alot of his fans are taking that myth a bit too far...

  • no faltan los sacoewea cierto?

  • yeah it would have been cool if Dave would have played whith them!

  • jason recorded with AJFA album

  • am i invited to that party and reunion?

  • ... AND JUSTICE FOR JASON
