James said that anyone that was on the albums was going to be inducted, and although dave only got credit for about 6 songs, from ride and kill em all together, he still should have been inducted. my opinion. and also, of coarse dave hates kirk. kirk took his job!!

He helped produce the album that what many people think "Saved metallica". In a way it did. Their last 3 albums sucked. Their last 4 albums weren't even thrash. DM is getting back to metal roots. Lots of double bass beats and snare on the drums and kick ass bass lines so of course he deserves it. And James just said, "Everyone who has been a part of Metallica deserves recognition for their contribution." Dumbass

He played in one album that has been released (Death Magshit) and he is currently the bass player, that's why he was inducted. Mustaine, Grant and Mcgovney werent inducted because they didnt record any album

youre telling me to learn? the best reviewers say DM is the comeback to the 80's heavy metal, but a step foward from that... although i think mastodom's blood mountain is a GREAT album, i couldnt agree more that DM is the best of the 00's, nothing related to the Black Album or Load's mainstream songs

@supperunknown death magnetic is a good improvement and endgame is great but best heavy metal almbum of the year? idk about that.. i gues that would be up to personal preference because album sales isnt everything when it comes to metal. metallica is such a big name that they will sell alot no matter how their album sounds.. i think death magnetic is an improvemnt i will say that though. i look forward to see what they do in the future.. i hope they go full out thrash again but i doubt they will

Metallica can do better then Death Magnetic, all they had to do is to get rid of Bob rock (what took forever) and i hope that they are gonna get better from here :)
for me Endgame is waaaay better then DM and it maybe isn't the best heavy metal album of the year, but DM isn't even in my top 100 of best albums of the decade

I love Cliff. I love Jason and I love the monster bass of Trujillo! Fuck man! Think of the different bass-players as influences, not positive or negative but just influences. Cliff had his influence and Jason & Trujillo had theirs. No point in bitchin bout who is "best". :)

Recognizing the success brought on by the Black Album, Metallica decides to sellout. Lars, you are such a fuck head, but you are such a damn good drummer that it makes up for it. And indeed, Metallica started with Lars and James, not to mention they helped write just about EVERY SONG. Kirk is a kickass guitarist, Robert is nowhere near as good as Jason (poor Jason, he got hazed far too brutally) and Dave Mustaine is a complete and utter asshole but a respectable musician. As for McGoveny...who?

Actually, I think some of the early releases BEFORE Kill Em All may have had Mustaine on them. Regardless, he WROTE a FUCKload of their music back in the day, his stuff was used all the way thru Puppets...
